Clean, service was excellent and the Smoked Brisket was delicious! Portions were so generous we had to take some home. Highly recommend!

She brought out a water bowl for our dog and took food care of us. My husband got the French dip and I got the shrimp basket. The shrimp were pretty tasty and weren't rubbery. French dip was decent but the au ju was a little bland. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was cozy and a lot bigger than what it looks like in the outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a nice little place to grab a bite to eat in downtown Weiser. We loved finding this jewel in Weiser. The clam chowder was homemade by Debbie (Debra?) and was very delicious. I would definitely order it again. My companion ordered the prime rib which was tender and cooked perfectly. My only disappointment was the pie. I did not ask if it was homemade. It was still partially frozen so I'm guessing that it might have been Marie Calendar or, if homemade, it was frozen. We will definitely eat here again. I highly recommend it. Next time I'll just skip the dessert. read more

We went to lunch yesterday and were so impressed with everything! First off, this place is exceptionally clean~absolutely spotless! Then, the service was excellent, with our waitress being very attentive and friendly. And finally, the food was EXCELLENT!!! It is always hard for me to find a good veggie burger, but this one was excellent. And their pies!!! This was our first time trying the Cook Shack and we were not disappointed. I had their meatloaf burger, which was the March specialty. It had a ton of flavor and was nice and big. I upgraded to onion rings and they were crisp and hot. My wife had the French Dip which was piled high with meat on a soft bun. She went with the tater tots which came out hot and crispy as well. They have a nice selection of beer to wash everything down with. read more

This place is beyond amazing!!!!!!! This mom and pop shop has GREAT food and fair prices! Bring your biggest hungry on, they got the fix for that! We drove up from Mountain Home for a high school football game. We stopped in here before the game. On my! This place was so good!! My husband got the prime rib. I got a bacon burger. It came out warm and was delicious! Super cozy atmosphere, hard working very friendly staff...even the other customers very super friendly to us!! One thing I loved was they keep their ketchup and fry sauce in the fridge rather than letting it sit on the table all day. Made such a difference! We were super impressed and will be back again at the next game!! read more

This is a five minute or so detour off of 95, but worth it. We hit it for dinner and got a chicken-fried steak, a prime rib, a burger, and some clam chowder. Other than the burger (which was overcooked) the other items were just wonderful. Even the sides (baked potato & green beans) were excellent. Split a slice of cherry pie for dessert -- it was quite good, but not great. Service was excellent, especially given how crowded it was. Only downside was the price (dinner for four + tip did mortal damage to a Franklin), but dinner prices + prime rib kind of drove it up. I suspect a more normal lunch wouldn't have hurt so badly. Definitely check this place out if you're coming through Weiser! read more

Perhaps Best Local Spot to run into someone you know. I always refer this place to travelers and new-comers for cozy atmosphere, great BBQ and Best Flavors in town. I think it just keeps getting better. Service is A-1 and Very Friendly. I moved to Wyoming and miss it, also owners John and Debbie, since I used to eat there 2 or 3 times a month. First time visiting this establishment was very impressed. Food was great. People were very nice. Prices were reasonable we will come back.

Went here to eat with my whole family tonight. First of all, this cafe is SO cute! It looks like chip and Joannna gaines designed it. Modern country decor perfect for a date night or cozy brunch. We ordered chicken fried steak, surf and turf, steak and the special brisket( served on Saturdays I think). Everything was delicious! The brisket was the best I've ever had. Incredibly tender and melt in your mouth. We finished it off with one of their homemade brownie sundaes. It tasted like I it was fresh out of the oven. Super friendly service (even to the Californians in our group) definitely worth the drive from out of town to visit this wonderful cafe! read more

Awesome small town cafe. I have eaten here twice and have not been disappointed. Ordered their BLTA with sweet potato fries. It was excellent.
