I'm in town for the night for work. I will be heading to Sumpter for a wedding tomorrow so we are staying the night in Baker City. Of course we googled local restaurants near us. After checking out a few places online, we decided to head to Lattitude 45 Grille for dinner. Pulling up to the venue, you notice how updated and pretty the joint is. There are a couple tables outside and beautiful potted flowers in the front, it's quite welcoming. Walking in, we were instantly greeted. We got sat in a small room that had a couple tables. It was separated from the main dining area. I appreciate the room we were in cause it created more of a personnal environment for my friend and I. The room was bright and vibrant. I love the big windows, it gave us a great view. I did check out the menu online. I noticed they had lobster manicotti. I was sold! Pasta, lobster and sauce, you can't get better than that! We breezed through the menus again while our drinks were getting taken care of. As many times as I looked the menu over and over again, I couldn't find the lobster manicotti. The waitress confirmed that they didn't offer it anymore. Such a bummer cause it was the only thing that really caught my eye. For dinner I settled for the chicken fontana with the pesto sauce on the side. I also got alfredo as my side since it was an option. I like that they give you pasta options as a side besides your typical fries and salad. Our meals came out super hot. I got a beautiful piece of chicken and a nice portion of alfredo. I can tell the pasta was freshly made, I was pretty close to burning my mouth cause of hot it was. The sauce on the pasta was rich and creamy. I did add a little salt and pepper to it, it needed just a pinchmore salt. The chicken was flavorful! Whatever they used as a crust on the chicken, it was nice! I used some of the alfredo sauce to dip the chicken in. The chicken was good but it was also kinda dry and there wasn't much cheese in the middle. The alfredo sauce really was needed. Our sweet server got a piece of the peanut butter cheesecake for my friend's birthday. She also put a birthday candle on the cheesecake for her. Little gestures like that are the best. The cheesecake was delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It had a good amount of chocolate on top. There were pieces roasted peanuts in the cheesecake that added a nice crunchy texture to it. It's a must have. Lattitude 45 was packed when we were leaving. Clearly they are doing something right. Service was great. The venue is beautiful. They produce good food. I'm happy we got to check this joint out and celebrate my friend's birthday here. I don't know when we will ever be back but if we are, we will definitely come back. And hopefully by then lobster manicotti will be on their menu! read more

They meal looked delicious when it came out, and it came very quickly. I don't recommend these together. I'd probably do the Alfredo if I could do it again. Neither portion of the meal had any distinct flavors. The pork cutlet was sooo greasy and the pesto managed to be some how dry even with the oil. The pork was not tender, and required sawing of the butter knife given. A steak knife might have been better. The mushrooms were the best part of the meal. The "Mediterranean Nachos" were interesting. The best part was the warm marinara sauce served on the side. Since they didn't dump it all on top, the chips stayed crunchy. The toppings were fresh and delicious, but there could have been more of them. THE PASTA. This is where Latitude 45 shines. We got the "Creamy Pesto Pasta" and "Smoked Salmon Pasta". Ordering both was easily enough to feed four people. The sauce was creamy and fresh, with hot gooey cheese melted on top. Cool spot in even cooler Baker City! I had the Serrano burger which was good and super well cooked (as in perfect not overdone). The side salad was also refreshing with the red pepper vinaigrette and only $1 extra (as of this review date) to sub out fries with. Staff was friendly and attentive even though they were pretty busy and I came in close to closing time. The outside seating was also a plus on a super nice evening. My only qualm is that the burger was slightly smaller than what I'm used to in a restaurant burger. Not a big deal at all as it was still more than filling and quality meat. It was just cooked perfectly, definitely wanted more to take home! All in all, great spot. Prices seem comparable in the area and fair for the food itself. Would come back if I'm in town again and recommend for travelers tired of the same old type of drive thru food. read more

Very disappointed for a Saturday night around 6:30 - 1/2 hour wait to get seated, almost another 1/2 hour wait for food - French Peppercorn Steak tasted bland and not juicy for medium rare (we actually were wondering where the peppercorn went), Mediterranean Chicken was very dry and tough. We ordered steak sandwich w/fries, chicken carbonara, and steak with pasta. Our appetizer was the bruschetta with tomatoes. Every thing was delicious and nicely plated. The french fries were super tasty with a smoky seasoning on it. The carbonara was excellent! The chicken was thinly sliced and oh so tender and also well seasoned. My first time to have a Brandy Alexander. It was like having a dessert appetizer before the meal. Amazing! I would definitely return to this restaurant if we pass through Baker City.
