Our second night of eating here and it did not disappoint. The pot pie is amazing. Key lime pie for dessert is wonderful. Best service ever. The atmosphere is a rare find.

Server was a rock star, thanks for thinking "outside the box" and taking care of us.

Came in at 830pm on a Saturday night thinking we'd have to eat at the bar but they were able to sit us right away, which made me think maybe it's not very good. That was definitely not the case, we had a couple appetizers that were great. Main course, salad and ribeye were on point, cooked to perfect midrare. We also ordered 3 desserts to go, the waiter brought them out in small separate boxes. I asked if they had a bag to put them in, he said he'd go find one. I overheard the waiter and another employee talk about not having any to go bags and I saw our waiter head towards the kitchen. I went to the restroom and when I came back there was a small produce box on the table with our desserts in them. Kudos to the waiter for thinking outside the box. I think he was new to this restaurant but definitely not inexperienced. Very impressed with everything there, and the whole hotel is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to come back!

Wild Mushroom Marsala with Grilled Polenta

Go for the free bread: it's as beautiful as the stained glass ceiling you'll be staring at throughout dinner. This bread is fresh, warm, fluffy like a cloud on the inside and has the sexiest soft crunch on the outside. It's the kind of bread you could eat without butter it's so good (but if you do use butter you certainly won't regret it). A thousand blessings to our server who returned my request for more bread near the end of my meal with a wink and came back 5 minutes later with not ONE but TWO CARBOHYDRATE CLOUDS FROM HEAVEN. As for the food on the menu, the "Mushroom Marsala with Grilled Polenta" is one of their most popular dishes for a reason. It's creamy cheese base and hearty helping of thickly cut tender mushrooms makes for a dish that seems to hug your heart and soul. The Polenta is the best cooked I've ever had: it's seasoned well and cooked so that it's the perfect density (like a little cake). Other places crisp their Polenta too hard and it gets stuck in your teeth, or they make it way too salty or not seasoned enough. Geiser Grand gets it right! The "Artichoke Dip" wasn't thick enough and the crostini its served with was quickly forgotten for the free bread. If you do order this appetizer, I do have to admit that I LOVED sopping up all the left over sauce with the free bread. I didn't try the other entrees, but from the looks of the dishes and the reactions of the others at my table, the food overall is fairly standard and nothing special. Certainly not worth the price.

I love the atmosphere of this dinning room within the Geiser Grand Hotel. The ceiling stained glass was stunning. However, our experience was not. Although being the first customers, the hostess went to seat us in a back corner limiting our ability to take in the grandeur of the room. The current menu is poorly printed as toner needs a new cartridge. Difficult to make out actual sections of the menu. Our strawberry lemonades were so tart that even adding sweetener and watering down couldn't make them drinkable. The salmon at its thickest section was largely undercooked and unappetizing. Really wanted the quality to match the presentation.

Bella Main Street Market - Oregon Patch kindly provided by Bella Kitchen Store owner, as a visitor passing through and admiring her wonderfully stocked store!

I didn't feel pushed to buy anything, or rushed to see the store or checkout. I kept going around and around and gathering items and dropping them back off to the checkout counter. A very chill employee helped me roughly the first hour I was there, and then Beverly, the shop owner assisted me the remaining 1 hour I spent there. This store exceeded my expectations tenfold. I would turn a corner and there would be more exotic things. The refrigerated alcohol section had this delicious meade or ale. Viking something, perhaps... An eclectic variety of specialty items all around! A unique store with tools and gadgets imported from other countries. You name it, kitchen-wise, and it's likely there! I think I saw a Shakshukka seasoning blend and thought that was wild! That's my signature dish and I've seen the sauce in a jar but not the jar of spices! Just a lovely feel to the store. Positive vibes for sure! At the end of my experience, I told Bella I wish I could ave found an Oregon related patch, perhaps even Baker City, so that I could iron on to a denim jacket I was working on at home! And she said she had one somewhere but couldn't find it. And asked me to leave behind my contact info in case she ever did. Well, 6 months later she contacted me and I was overjoyed to hear from her. She said she'd found the patch and needed my address for it to be sent out. This lady's kindness was next level. I must say, it is one of my top if not FAVE patch on my jacket. Thank you Bella and your wonderful staff, in patiently assisting me. If I ever pass through Baker City again, I'll be sure to stop by your store each and every time. You found a customer for life! :)

I said I can't drink it and opted for a margarita. Have no idea how u can screw up a margarita but it was not drinkable either. No sweetness. Just unlike any other I've ever had. Left that full as well. The charcuterie board app was great. But expensive. The other food was super mediocre. Just felt like it was middle of the line out of the freezer. Cute presentation. Very underwhelming. I can honestly say they're the most unenjoyable cocktails I've ever had. Our server acted like she couldn't care less if we were happy, or satisfied. She knew I sent the first drink back, saw the 2nd left full and didn't ask a single ? The whole experience was very lacking. Skip this place.

If you are anywhere near La Grande Oregon, you must stop there for dinner.

After checking out a few places online, we decided to head to Lattitude 45 Grille for dinner. Pulling up to the venue, you notice how updated and pretty the joint is. There are a couple tables outside and beautiful potted flowers in the front, it's quite welcoming. Walking in, we were instantly greeted. We got sat in a small room that had a couple tables. It was separated from the main dining area. I appreciate the room we were in cause it created more of a personnal environment for my friend and I. The room was bright and vibrant. I love the big windows, it gave us a great view. I did check out the menu online. I noticed they had lobster manicotti. I was sold! Pasta, lobster and sauce, you can't get better than that! We breezed through the menus again while our drinks were getting taken care of. As many times as I looked the menu over and over again, I couldn't find the lobster manicotti. The waitress confirmed that they didn't offer it anymore. Such a bummer cause it was the only thing that really caught my eye. For dinner I settled for the chicken fontana with the pesto sauce on the side. I also got alfredo as my side since it was an option. I like that they give you pasta options as a side besides your typical fries and salad. Our meals came out super hot. I got a beautiful piece of chicken and a nice portion of alfredo. I can tell the pasta was freshly made, I was pretty close to burning my mouth cause of hot it was. The sauce on the pasta was rich and creamy. I did add a little salt and pepper to it, it needed just a pinchmore salt. The chicken was flavorful! Whatever they used as a crust on the chicken, it was nice! I used some of the alfredo sauce to dip the chicken in. The chicken was good but it was also kinda dry and there wasn't much cheese in the middle. The alfredo sauce really was needed. Our sweet server got a piece of the peanut butter cheesecake for my friend's birthday. She also put a birthday candle on the cheesecake for her. Little gestures like that are the best. The cheesecake was delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It had a good amount of chocolate on top. There were pieces roasted peanuts in the cheesecake that added a nice crunchy texture to it. It's a must have. Lattitude 45 was packed when we were leaving. Clearly they are doing something right. Service was great. The venue is beautiful. They produce good food. I'm happy we got to check this joint out and celebrate my friend's birthday here. I don't know when we will ever be back but if we are, we will definitely come back. And hopefully by then lobster manicotti will be on their menu!
