I have visited Mr. and Mrs. Lee's business for a few years now and will continue to come back. They have a wide selection of prescription and non-prescription frames. Both are lovely people to work with. They take the time to find the right glasses frame to complement your face. I also appreciate the quick service. Once I had my frame picked out. My prescription glasses were ready within 25 minutes! read more

Can't express how amazing this place is this is now my third time coming here and I am still impressed on how fast they are I got my glasses within the hour they are literally the sweetest they are best place to get your glasses ! read more

Super friendly people! Quality is amazing. They made my high index frames as thin as possible. Much better than Walmart. Walmart lenses are cheap and they overcharge. But Rome Optical you get your value for the price you pay. Much more comfortable lenses and don't see distortions like Walmart lenses. Lenses feel natural. And they got my lenses done in 25 minutes. Meanwhile at Walmart I'd usually wait 2 weeks. read more

The glasses took less than 20 minutes and they look so cute! The owners are also very nice. I definitely recommend this place.

Great customer service.Highly recommended HANNA and her husband great people. Their service and great prices. read more

This optician isn't one I'd recommend. It's a family-run business that's quite unfriendly, has limited service, and is quite expensive. If you're considering using this place, I'd recommend thinking again and using another place instead. Especially, the women at this place are quite unfriendly. Thank you for reading my comment all the way to the end. read more

Mr. and Mrs. Lee are so attentive. You walk in and they already know the style that fits your face. They line up their suggestions and you pick what you like. Great experience and only praises for 16 years. Walk in eye exams MAY be accommodated during the weekend if the schedule is not so busy. read more

After reading reviews that spoke of what a guru the woman is for picking frames, I thought I'd check out this place. Nope nope nope. She kept bringing me frames of pretty much the same shape I kept saying I didn't like. Finally found a pair myself but they were so expensive! And then adding in the lenses, etc and yeah sorry no can do. read more

Hannah and husband very friendly , attentive, knowledgeable. Great selection of frames.

I'm a longtime customer of the couple who owns Rome Optical, for over 15 years! I have bought several pairs of glasses and contact lenses for my family from them. Customer service is their primary concern. They always want the customer to be satisfied with their glasses. They have a great selection of frames to choose from. You cannot go wrong by buying your glasses from Rome Optical! read more

The owners, who are a husband and wife team, are very attentive and really care about choosing the correct frame or sunglass that is right for your face shape/frame; esp the lady. I've been going here for over 6 years and each time they never rushed or made me feel pressured to making a purchase. They really are a sweet couple. I would totally recommend this store. They have a wide variety of eyeglass/sunglass style and also a booklet where the owners will order a particular style or brand of sunglasses if they are not available at the store. Albeit the arrival of the order takes some time as some are out of stock. read more

I have been going to this optometrist for years at this location and their old one on Sherman Way and they have always been so nice and helpful. They also have a really nice collection of glasses. Lots of fashionable ones and pretty ones too. They even made my lens for my glasses a pretty pretty blue. Their location is also convenient in the Galleria Market. You can eat at the nice food court before or after going there or wander the market. read more

My whole family has been getting our glasses here for over 20 years. They always take excellent care of all of us. The selection of designer frames is unbelievably great!! The service is amazing too!! read more

Wonderful customer service great selection of sunglasses and reading glasses And great prices

I'm a long-time customer of Rome Optical. The owners treat me like family and the selection of frames is fantastic. Since I wear my glasses every day, I love having a chic, designer frame and high quality lens. I've receive nothing but compliments my stylish glasses throughout the years. read more

The prices at this place are a problem. You can buy the same frames for much cheaper at ezcontacts.com. They offered me Tom Fords at the same price as Saks but....you ain't no Saks boo. I was sold on a quality lens but when I took the glasses to Lens Crafters they showed me the grade I paid for and of course I paid top dollar for bottom of the barrel. My second problem is the owner who shows you frames. She made some recommendations but...you ain't my stylist boo. She basically kept trying to sell me on some crazy Tiffanys glasses that were way too expensive and uggggly. I support small businesses but only when they are ethical in their prices and provide quality. You won't find either of those here. read more

It's been a frustrating few months shopping for a nice quality pair of sunglasses that would fit my Asian profile face. All the big name stores I visited did not have anything close to what I like nor fit me. I happened to notice this store when entering the Galleria Market to do my infrequent grocery shopping there. So I decided to make a quick stop. So glad I did. The owners, Hanna & her husband were very: nice, honest, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. Wow, she really knew her glasses. She was so attentive in helping me find the right style & frames that fit my personality & my face. She did not rush me nor pressure me to buy. I left there with not 1 but 2 pairs of glasses and so happy I found this place. This will be my future go to place for all my vision needs and I cannot wait to recommend them to all my family & friends. They have a huge selection of low to high end brand name frames & brands I've never heard of. Thank you Hanna & your husband for your great & caring service ! ! read more

My boyfriend needed a new reading glasses they were able to get it right in 30min and they took their time. He went to lens crafter before they were awful. I'll recommend here!!! Support small independent business!!! read more

This place is horrible and has the worst service, ever. I called to inquire about glasses and contacts. The lady answering my questions was super impatient and rude. When I called back to ask more questions, she just said "Oh my god!" and hung up the phone without saying anything else. That's so rude and unprofessional. I hope this place closes down. read more

Amazing people who run this place! Always have what we want and I've been going here for years! They recently even gave us a present for my mothers 50th b-day with no charge! I never had any issues with them and even have recommended them to many of my friends. My mother got these really cool unique glasses and everyone including strangers go crazy after seeing these unique glasses. 100% recommended ! read more

This optometry has an excellent index of frames, they probably carry the biggest selection of designer frames of any optometry nearby and even major retailers within malls like Westfield Topanga. My main interest in visiting this optometry is they carried a specific brand I desired. Now, the customer service of this place is amazing upon initial inquiry, however, once they have filed a claim with your insurance, they no longer hold interest in upholding that same standard. The optometrists become the worst ever, and I mean that literally. They become hard to reach, rude in speaking manner, change their stories to confuse you, and have you do things without telling you why. So, bad customer service from time to time is inevitable, but they take that to a whole new level here. There was instance where a doctor there literally grabbed by arm by force and tried to drag me over to an eye chart!!! Insane right? I did resist, as I was caught of guard by such an action! My friend in the corner, bored, was shocked in the type of service this place illustrated. All in all, don't go here. Yes, the selection of glasses are quite outstanding, (I do question the legitimacy in some frames, but you can easily contact designers for proof of authorized selling), but the service is by far the worst I have ever received in my life. read more

Rome Optical- Northridge CA is the worst in service I've ever experienced. On April 5, 2013, left my progressive glasses for repair. They promise to call me if it's ready, and it's maximum 2 weeks according to them.Came April 14, dropped by and inquired if by any chance it's fixed or ready, lo and behold, they told me not yet. Today is April 19, and this is what Ms Hanna Lee told me over the phone"it's not here yet, let me call the company that repaired it, I will get back to you after." Unbelievable, but true, she said that with side words of "you know I won't get anything from repair, it's just a service". Then what the heck, don't even continue your business for heaven's sake! She's complaining that the company didnt deliver on time and its not her fault. Please have second thoughts if you plan to ever visit their place for any business. Grade= FAILED! read more

Been going to them for glasses and to get my eyes checked for over 5 years now. The lady who works there is a guru when it comes to picking out frames to suit you. Let's her work her magic first then see what you like. They have a great selection of high end brands and lower end. The quality and work they do is good. Bought many frames from them and will continue do to so. Thank you to the owners of this place! You are really nice people. read more

I decided to stop at this korean market and buy some groceries when I walked pass this store. Before I walked in I decided to check some reviews and I was a little concerned about the negative ratings and decided against going in. However, after noticing some really nice frames on my way out I decided to at least check it out. I was genuinely surprised with the level of customer service! I forget her name, but the owner spent over an hour (while working with a couple other customers here and there) helping me try on glasses and sunglasses. After finding some Tiffany's and Dolce and Gabbanas that I really loved I was trying to decide between the two and she offered to give me a deal so that I could buy both! I was worried insurance wouldn't go through because I was out of state but she was able to make it all work and get it sorted out. Thank you so much! read more

Came in to get an eye exam and check out the designer brands. The lady Hanna has decades of experience with glasses/shades. I knew the look i wanted but from all the selections available it can be overwhelming. Hanna picked out all styles that would fit my face and every one of them looked great to me. I had a difficult decision to choose as they were all exactly what i wanted in looks. I ended up getting Gucci black frames w prescription for distance and reading. And a pair of Dita shades w distance only. Turns out I need prescription for distance and reading. I thought I only needed reading. I was happy to shop here because other places I've gone to don't really help you w the look that you want. They just say go to that section and get what you like. Hanna was very helpful and not pushy. She took care of all the paperwork for my insurance and included the eye exam in the package. Im very happy what I paid for, considering both pairs being designer brands. Go check this place out if you're looking for glasses or shades!! I don't believe you will be disappointed!! The store was a little difficult to find because its actually inside a market. First shop on the right as you enter. read more

This place ranks the lowest when it comes to customer service. If you need a repair go somewhere else. I was told my glasses would be ready in a week. Not only did it take a month this place lost my repair slip so they had no way to contact me. Every follow up call I made this bitch gave me a nasty attitude. read more

That owner lady as reviewer Mar E. mentioned is the "Guru" on picking the right frames for you...she picked out at least couple of my glasses and they look great on me! The prices are cheaper than other Optical shops I've visited and they have a wide variety of cool brand named frames to choose from! I just love to look at their selections of frames! Especially, their "Geek Eyewear Collection" cause that's the only brand that I would wear and I've searched at other stores, she's the only one that sells them and for affordable price too! Anyway, if you are looking to buy cool, yet affordable frames that fit your own personal style check Rome Optical located inside the "Galleria Korean Grocery Store!!" The lady is very helpful and she will help you pick out the right frames that best suit you and your style!! read more
