Super friendly people! Quality is amazing. They made my high index frames as thin as possible. Much better than Walmart. Walmart lenses are cheap and they overcharge. But Rome Optical you get your value for the price you pay. Much more comfortable lenses and don't see distortions like Walmart lenses. Lenses feel natural. And they got my lenses done in 25 minutes. Lots of fashionable ones and pretty ones too. They even made my lens for my glasses a pretty pretty blue. Their location is also convenient in the Galleria Market. The prices at this place are a problem. You can buy the same frames for much cheaper at ezcontacts.com. They offered me Tom Fords at the same price as Saks but....you ain't no Saks boo. I was sold on a quality lens but when I took the glasses to Lens Crafters they showed me the grade I paid for and of course I paid top dollar for bottom of the barrel. My second problem is the owner who shows you frames. She made some recommendations but...you ain't my stylist boo. She basically kept trying to sell me on some crazy Tiffanys glasses that were way too expensive and uggggly. I support small businesses but only when they are ethical in their prices and provide quality. You won't find either of those here. read more

All the big name stores I visited did not have anything close to what I like nor fit me. I happened to notice this store when entering the Galleria Market to do my infrequent grocery shopping there. This place is horrible and has the worst service, ever. I called to inquire about glasses and contacts. The lady answering my questions was super impatient and rude. This optometry has an excellent index of frames, they probably carry the biggest selection of designer frames of any optometry nearby and even major retailers within malls like Westfield Topanga. My main interest in visiting this optometry is they carried a specific brand I desired. Now, the customer service of this place is amazing upon initial inquiry, however, once they have filed a claim with your insurance, they no longer hold interest in upholding that same standard. The optometrists become the worst ever, and I mean that literally. They become hard to reach, rude in speaking manner, change their stories to confuse you, and have you do things without telling you why. So, bad customer service from time to time is inevitable, but they take that to a whole new level here. There was instance where a doctor there literally grabbed by arm by force and tried to drag me over to an eye chart!!! Insane right? I did resist, as I was caught of guard by such an action! My friend in the corner, bored, was shocked in the type of service this place illustrated. All in all, don't go here. Yes, the selection of glasses are quite outstanding, (I do question the legitimacy in some frames, but you can easily contact designers for proof of authorized selling), but the service is by far the worst I have ever received in my life. read more

Rome Optical- Northridge CA is the worst in service I've ever experienced. On April 5, 2013, left my progressive glasses for repair. They promise to call me if it's ready, and it's maximum 2 weeks according to them.Came April 14, dropped by and inquired if by any chance it's fixed or ready, lo and behold, they told me not yet. Today is April 19, and this is what Ms Hanna Lee told me over the phone"it's not here yet, let me call the company that repaired it, I will get back to you after." Unbelievable, but true, she said that with side words of "you know I won't get anything from repair, it's just a service". Then what the heck, don't even continue your business for heaven's sake! She's complaining that the company didnt deliver on time and its not her fault. Please have second thoughts if you plan to ever visit their place for any business. Grade= FAILED! read more

Came in to get an eye exam and check out the designer brands. The lady Hanna has decades of experience with glasses/shades. I knew the look i wanted but from all the selections available it can be overwhelming. Hanna picked out all styles that would fit my face and every one of them looked great to me. I had a difficult decision to choose as they were all exactly what i wanted in looks. I ended up getting Gucci black frames w prescription for distance and reading. And a pair of Dita shades w distance only. Turns out I need prescription for distance and reading. I thought I only needed reading. I was happy to shop here because other places I've gone to don't really help you w the look that you want. They just say go to that section and get what you like. Hanna was very helpful and not pushy. She took care of all the paperwork for my insurance and included the eye exam in the package. Im very happy what I paid for, considering both pairs being designer brands. Go check this place out if you're looking for glasses or shades!! I don't believe you will be disappointed!! I decided to stop at this korean market and buy some groceries when I walked pass this store. Before I walked in I decided to check some reviews and I was a little concerned about the negative ratings and decided against going in. However, after noticing some really nice frames on my way out I decided to at least check it out. I was genuinely surprised with the level of customer service! I forget her name, but the owner spent over an hour (while working with a couple other customers here and there) helping me try on glasses and sunglasses. After finding some Tiffany's and Dolce and Gabbanas that I really loved I was trying to decide between the two and she offered to give me a deal so that I could buy both!
