When it came time for new glasses Kaiser had a disappointing selection and the other optometrist I would have gone to had relocated further away and is no longer an option for me. While at the mall I went to see what LenCrafters had to offer and was very pleased with the selection so I came here. The prices were reasonable and comparable to where I was going before and there's a very high emphasis on customer satisfaction which I appreciated. Everyone's visit is different, but we've consistently received excellent service and quality products. Recently, my boyfriend came in for new glasses, and Team Lead Luis was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. He not only helped my boyfriend order a new pair at a great price but also took the time to fix his current ones (as pictured). Great customer service like that is truly priceless. I just had an eye exam with a contact lens consultation and I am very happy with the services that were provided. The doctor took her time with me and listened to me when I told her that I didn't do well with certain type of lenses. So far, the ones she recommended are feeling great. I appreciate that she wasn't pushy with extra services but still communicated what was available. The same goes for the person who rang me up. There's nothing worse than an over-the-top sales person who doesn't understand boundaries. Because of the service I received today, I'll be ordering my contacts and glasses through them. I walked in excited for my appointment, but unfortunately the customer service completely changed the tone of my visit. From the moment I checked in, three staff members appeared annoyed and uninterested in being there. The energy in the waiting room felt heavy and unwelcoming, which made the experience uncomfortable not just for me, but for other patients as well. One staff member (a man with long hair in a bun, wearing black Vans and frequently on a Samsung phone with a green case) was often on his phone while assisting patients. He did not appear welcoming and did not smile at all. Even a simple, polite demeanor would have made a difference. Another staff member with curly hair was noticeably rude in the way she spoke to me and other patients. Her tone felt dismissive and unfriendly, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. Out of the five staff members present, only two were kind and professional. I especially appreciated the woman in the purple dress who was warm and welcoming. You could see patients coming out of their eye exams smiling, but that positive energy seemed to shift once they returned to the front desk. I did complete my appointment, but I will not be returning to this specific location. Professionalism and positive energy make a significant difference in healthcare settings, and unfortunately that was lacking during my visit. I was honestly relieved to leave. read more

Avoid this lens crafters if you are purchasing designer. I purchased Burberry from here and a few months later they're peeling really bad. I take very good care of my glasses so there's no reason for them to be peeling. They're cheaply made and they're sold for so much money. I paid approx $400 closer to $500 for this pair and look at how bad they look just a few months later. I recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. read more

Wow, I'm not quite sure how this location has been rated so low as I LOVED the service I received. Parking is super easy as this location is in the bottom level of the mall. The store itself is smaller than some of the other locations I have visited however the selection of glasses is superb! As I walked in I was greeted with a "hello" which I always appreciate and I was helped by Joanna. She immediately brought me a tray and encouraged me to try on multiple glasses. Joanna was really about pushing me to try on frames that I typically wouldn't have looked at. I fell in love with the glasses that Joanna pointed out to me, they are so different than anything I typically wear but I love them. I loved the service I received so much, I went back a few days later and purchased a completely different pair (yes two pairs) and again Joanna was amazing in helping me with my decision. I would highly recommend this location, and if Joanna is available, I would ask her to assist you, she went over and beyond to make me find glasses that make me feel like a million dollars! read more

My 17 year old got some prescription sunglasses today. #1 hipa rules broken by doing an examination on a 17 year old without parent consent. #2. Went to pick up the sunglasses. I asked a few question to ensure they did not sell my minor kid a bunch of add in's like they do to me to increase sales. When the associate saw us in Spanish she says "yos mios". Goes to the manager to ask if she can provide the original lenses to the sunglasses we paid for. Takes the MOD 20 min to find something to give me that states can't return the lenses. She also called the store manager twice because clearly she was not sure. She then went to comfy theses internal company documents to prove to me policy. I said you should not be giving this out and you should know where to direct me to see policy. I then asked for them to retain the lenses because I will want them after speaking to a DM/Regional. I asked about the return policy, and manager said 30 days, and I can give you a refund now if you would like. Not sure if management would advise associates to offer refunds so quickly. That would BK the company. At this point I will reach out to speak to a DM or regional to explain all the VIOLATIONS. Hipa, and profiling. They did not even offer to adjust the glasses on my 17 year olds face. It's unfortunate bad bad bad managers drive service and companies into the ground. read more

We stopped by here yesterday for my fiancée eye appointment to get fitted for contacts. We arrived about 10 minutes early but they allowed us to be seated in the waited area. They have sanitizer in the entrance and I believe mask is required since everyone was wearing it. They had some good collections of sunglasses and reading glasses. I looked at the Oakley brand since I prefer that brand while my fiancée was doing her exam. It took about an hour since they had to fit her with the contacts and make sure she was comfortable with it. They give her some stuff for the contacts so that's always appreciated. The customer service was very top notch. read more

This place deserves 10 stars. From the moment I booked online to checking out from my visit- it was the smoothest process. This was the most enjoyable eye exam I've had. I arrived early and they still took me in to which I was greeted with kindness by Ron. Hasiya took me in shortly afterwards and proceeded to do my eye exam. She took her time helping me pick out new frames for my prescription glasses. They have quite a range of beautiful designer frames to choose from as well. She was so sweet and pleasant. Dr. Palacios was polite, professional and his bedside manner was impeccable. He took his time to explain to me what he found during my exam and was very thorough. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't had an eye exam or needs a place to go to if they haven't had the best experience with their last eye exam. LensCrafters Northridge Mall to the rescue!!! My father-in-law failed the DMV vision test because he hadn't updated his glasses prescription in years... The DMV gave him a week to come back and retake the test. Day 1 Made an appointment to see a ophthalmologist the next day Day 2 Saw the ophthalmologist at 4PM and got a new prescription Day 3 Made call after call to optometrists trying to find one that could make my father-in-law's prescription... every one of them told us they needed 2 weeks because of how complicated the prescription is Day 4 Went in to the Topanga LensCrafters and they told us that they needed 2 weeks but we should definitely call the Northridge Mall store because it has the largest lab in the area. Day 5 Alex (the lab manager) confirmed he had the lens blank we needed in stock. We immediately jumped in the car, Jessica and Stephanie helped my father-in-law pick out new frames, measured his eye alignment and sent us on our way telling us to expect a text when the glasses were done. 2 hours later we were back in the store, Jessica and Stephanie welcomed us back, adjusted the new glasses for a perfect fit and we headed home. Her response was "well since you were 10 minutes late you will need to wait". I informed her I was not late, that is just when she checked me in. She replied saying "yeah you were on the phone with your mask off"... I was taking a sip of water! She came up to me to tell me that the doctor took someone else even though I was next. Went here for the first time, I just walked in. Two ladies we're nice and very helpful. Took care of me right away because I had told them I have to be at work but also I came in before the rush. I got a MK glasses and I am feeling myself! :) They do accept Care Credit if you do can't pay for the glasses on the spot. You need to have a good credit score tho. Make sure to bring your prescription if you want to get new glasses. Unless yours expired already. This will be my go-to spot now because I felt well taken care of. The glasses were perfect when I got it THE SAME DAY, it's amazing because they just took a picture of me on their IPad with some measuring equipment around my frame. When I received the glasses they made sure I liked how it is. I'm very satisfied and will definitely go back. Make sure to make an appointment because it is 50/50 if they're busy or not. read more

DO NOT COME HERE...they are NOT 100% COVID19 compliant (especially during the time when there is a surge, you would think thy would be more careful-they clearly are not). To be fair the Dr. I saw here was fantastic the facility unfortunately was disgusting in Sanitation and Customer Service (or in this case lack of). *The doctor I saw was super nice and so knowledgeable (she was the only good part of my visit)...but she told me she was just the fill in for the normal eye doctor (the one who actually saw me works in Glendale)...after I told her about the disaster in the contact room she went out of her way to bring me an individual bottle of saline as she needed me to pop my contacts back in (she was very thorough and very nice-I would go see her at the Glendale location in a second). ---------- Onto the review------- 1. Yes, they are wearing masks...that was the only thing they looked like they were doing for COVID19. 2. They are sort of limiting the people in the store per the sign posted outside (there is supposed to be only 10 customers in the store at a time, I counted 17 while I was there). 3. There is a sign above the door that states "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" guess what the doors were locked and then everyone who worked there seemed to have a difficult time unlocking them. What if there was a fire or an emergency??? WTF.... 4. When you call to make an appointment they do not share their COVID19 protocols with you-like when you arrive what you should do because the door is clearly locked-when I arrived there was a line of about 5 people to get in-I had no idea why these people were standing outside (I had an appointment so I was thinking are these people walk in or something else?), and nowadays heaven forbid if you accidentally cut in front of someone (it can start a war outside a store)...I ended up having to ask the customer waiting in line if she had an appointment-and she told me she was indeed a walk in but if you had an appointment you had to knock on the glass door and hope someone would let you in. No one is monitoring the door. 5. The seating inside is NOT socially distanced 6ft. People who were not in related famlies where sitting closer than 6 ft. apart (I actually moved my chair out). 6. People were also just trying on glasses without any sanitation from the staff afterwards-but they claim to sanitize after a customer tries on a pair a go frames (lie). 7. I was getting an exam for contacts and glasses I waited for over 1/2 hour...and when the person who was clearly not the Doctor (she was in a dress that would be better suited to be worn in a club than a professional atmosphere)...called me in 35 minutes later for my appointment-no apology, nothing...just follow me and we are going in the back to do some pre-tests. The only thing she said after I mentioned it was-yeah sorry, we're busy (nice, real nice-no empathy). 8. The Pre-testing rooms equipment did not look that clean....on one of the machines it appeared where you placed your forehead...there was oils on it from the patient before...everything felt dirty in there. 9. If you are wearing contacts they ask you to take you contacts off in a room they dedicated as a "contact removal room"...Ok, we are living in the middle of a pandemic right? Then why is there 1 big public bottle of saline...I think I washed my hands 6-7 times just to pop my contacts out-I cannot imagine that Lenscrafters is that hard up- GET INDIVIDUAL BOTTLES! Just gross...and after I left that room no one was in there sanitizing it. So I touched the big bottle of saline, the sink and the basket of disposable contact lens cases... I got the pile of paper towels wet as well...just gross and not compliant for a sanitary atmosphere at all. This was just a disgusting visit-I just took my prescription I will order my glasses and contacts from somewhere else. When there was 18 employees at the JCP at this same mall that were confirmed with diagnosis's of COVID19 wouldn't you as a merchant want to be even be more careful and vigilant about sanitation- especially if you are associated with the medical profession? This place does not care about the safety and well being of their customers is shameful and disappointing. AVOID. read more

I had my first visit to this location yesterday and my experience was absolutely fantastic. The receptionists helped me and went out of their way to make sure I stayed in budget. I went in thinking I could only afford an exam, and I'm walking out with a beautiful well fitting pair of glasses! I saw Dr Richard Palacios, whom I highly recommend. The eye exam I received from him was better than ones I'd had before, even from specialists. He explained everything and answered all my questions, and I'm full of questions! Had to physically visit today to see the status of my contact lens trials from 3 months ago. Trials are meant for 7days, the doctor didn't have any trials with my prescription for my left eye in stock on the day of my exam so she said she would order and it would come in a week. I would need to come back when the trials come so she could finalize my prescription.. I waited 2 weeks, didn't receive any call back. I waited 1 month nothing, 2 months later I was playing telephone tag with front desk who said they would contact me, at 9pm I received a call saying they're closing for the day and to call back. Today I finally had time to come in to see what's going on and surprise surprise they never ordered my trials and they can give me another trial 7 days of contacts that are not my prescription. I asked for the Dr to just finalize my prescription so I can order my contacts and be done but I've been sitting here for 1 hour and until now they can't get the Dr to finalize the prescription. At this point I'm not sure if I even want to order my contacts through this lens Crafters, at this rate it might take them a year to get them in, or longer lol. Obviously there's no team work at this place or communication between staff and the physician. I would be embarrassed to be an employee here as it would be frustrating to have to deal with frustrated customers due to poor communication between staff. Being able to see is a big deal, atleast for me, so if your main priority is to be able to see, find another place to get your vision checked, and for glasses or contacts. I think they think it's normal for people to wait that long but if I made an appt I do not expect to wait that long to be seen by someone. The staff were definitely not friendly and unorganized.
