Before Master Bathroom

We used Roman to update our guest and master bathrooms. We could not be happier with his work and his crew! Roman was always quick to respond if I had a question. His crew was friendly, always on time and put in a full day of work. I would highly recommend using Roman and have already referred him to several friends and clients.

Kitchen Before (but after tile, drywall removed)

Roman and his crew did an extensive demolition to our kitchen. Walls were removed, a new support beam was installed, new drywall and texture went in, and flooring was removed. This was a HUGE job that was all done in 9 working days! Getting a job like this done well was great, but getting it done that fast was a bonus! Roman's crew arrived at our house daily by 8am and worked straight until 5pm (or later if they needed to get things done). We couldn't be happier with the way this project has turned out and it was made possible by Roman and his crew. Highly recommend. *Attaching pictures to see some of the before and after transformation

Moving to a new city has enough challenges on its own, but to add the thought of doing a kitchen remodel on a temporary living situation was just as daunting. How do you find a contractor? Will it be quality work? Who can we trust? Austin rehabs are booming business right now, is there someone that would even consider our tiny project? Roman Leal Construction was the answer to all those questions. We placed ourselves on a strict budget and was adamant about sticking to it. Roman met that budget and was even under (never told him what our budget was so that tells you that he was extremely fair and charged accordingly to the job). We just moved to Austin and planning on renting out or selling condo once we get the lay of the land and purchase a forever home, so we did not want to break the bank with outrageous upgrades that made no economical sense. Roman and his crew were awesome, so easy to work with!!! And he finished everything in 5 days! That's right, 5 DAYS!!! Had to wait another week for our new range to come in (not his fault, Home Depot's) and he came back to do touch up painting! He wanted everything perfect and done right. He made us feel like we were his only clients. Big thanks to Mario, too! (Our project was small enough that we didn't need a large crew, so Mario was the guy!) Our original kitchen was so dark and rather depressing to be in and now...WE LOVE IT! Remember, we were on a "BUDGET," so just new quartz countertops, only had cabinets painted (white upper & gray lower), repair under sink, installed disposal, added 3 new can lights and new stainless steel appliances (Refrigerator came with condo, it needs to be counter-depth, but going to keep it for now. It works fine and again saving money, just waiting on new fridge for a sale, this one is too big, but works fine.) Roman knows everyone! Every where we went from looking at countertops, Home Depot, even the bank, everyone knew Roman. Hand shakes, high fives and friendly greetings followed us anywhere we went. (Which was so cool, because his countertop fabricators even threw in a FREE sink! Thanks Miguel!) We are so excited to FINALLY have our completed mini condo kitchen. (IN JUST 5 DAYS!!!) When you put yourself on a budget and stick to it, it's possible! After 7 quotes and 3 months of planning, we got the kitchen that makes us so happy to be in with fully working and reliable appliances. It is so much brighter & lighter...just feels fresh and cozy. And absolutely beautiful and stunning! I actually enjoy being in there! (Eventually, we would want to change the flooring, but that would require changing the fireplace, entryway & bathroom, that's for another time!). Thank you Roman and your guys for making us feel like our project was not too small or too big for you. So rest assured knowing if you choose Roman Leal and his team you are investing wisely!

Roman Leal and his crew finish another beautiful remodel for us with granite counters and back splash.

We just had Roman Leal complete our kitchen remodel and couldn't be happier. We had previously hired Roman and his crew re-do our master bath and his success has continued. Thinking that counters and a backslash might be too minor of an undertaking we first consulted YELP and had two granite specialty companies bid our job first. I invited Roman to bid our job and showed him my bids which he swiftly, yet modestly, beat (not by a mile but it's a small job relatively). After the care and quality workmanship that we received during our bathroom remodeling it became an easy decision. I work around skilled laborers in a different trade and can easily tell that Roman keeps top tier, caring technicians as his crew and the proof is in the pudding (that one of my children will spill on our new counters and "accidentally" smear on the beautiful backslash). Roman Leal is a solid contractor who legitimately cares, even if he cost more I still would have considered him... but I saved. Win. Carport turned into studio

When I first met Roman, I told him we were trying to turn a car port into a studio apartment. As we walked through the empty space, he looked at me and he said "you know Drew, If you listen...a house will talk to ya." Roman is so much more than a contractor, he is a true visionary that helped us to turn our property into a dream home. He is communicative, has the best workers (who he takes care of) and always fairly priced. Easily the best contractor experience I've ever had. We built a studio, re-did our kitchen, built a deck and so many minor fixes...he really can do it all.

Roman is the best contractor in Austin, period! I use Roman exclusively for all of my clients remodels and flips as one of the top Realtors here in Austin Texas. He and his crew are professional, fast, and they do a good job of hitting their deadlines. On one project we did together this summer, time was running out before our photographer was going to show up and Roman jumped in there with his crew for the whole day working his tail off, and helped us meet our deadline in time! That is exactly what makes Roman the best! He cares and he is willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy!

Repainted the whole exterior including trim. Also did a neat herringbone tile on the nook to the left of the home for character.

Really enjoyed working with Roman and his crew. Such a great group of guys, and really put everything into their work. They are top quality, and precision when it comes to what they do. They take their time to get it right and make sure everything is the way you want it. We are so happy with our exterior remodel they did. Our house looks amazing and gives that curb appeal we were going for! I could not recommend Roman and his team enough, they did an amazing job! Thanks again for your hard work, and the beauty you gave our home!

Transformed open kitchen.

Roman and his team have done wonders for me. I first had them do a small job to remodel a washroom into a home office. His crew rolled in in force and completed the job in a week. I had been dreaming of making bigger changes to my long-time home. After finding such a friendly and capable crew I decided to work with Roman to make it happen. Over the last several months he has transformed my home, creating an open floor plan, and completely remodeling the kitchen, expanding a bath and closet and generally turning my house into my dream home. He always has multiple projects going but is quick to respond to questions or concerns, picking up the phone when I call or calling right back. He was flexible as my project scope changed and expanded and always worked to find a solution quickly as problems arose. If you want a quality job done quickly by a crew of great guys, give Roman a call.

After our previous good experience with them we had them quote on a much larger, full remodel job on our "forever home" fixer-upper we just bought in central Austin. They came in with a better price and faster time estimate than the other folks who quoted: it was a no brainer. After 6 weeks of heavy duty remodeling they're done, we're living here, and we can hands down say we made the right choice yet again. Roman's crew did a wall to wall remodel of the living/dining/kitchen and master bathroom. Multiple support walls were removed & replaced with header beams, new plumbing was installed, power & gas lines re-routed, new tile, appliances, counter-tops, lighting, exterior door installed, etc...huge job. His crew, like last time, was friendly, on-time, and extremely experienced. Several times we had some ideas and his crew would suggest alternatives or tweaks which ended up looking amazing and better than the original idea - they are craftsmen who take pride in their art and it shows. Just like last time Roman was exceptionally available and promptly responded even on nights and weekends, and is a nice contrast to the typical stereotype of a shifty contractor that makes you feel like you're getting conned. Even when we had to make course corrections or changes he was accommodating and patient, understanding how stressed we felt. To top it off, our new neighbors came over unsolicited while we were moving in and commented on how our contractor's crew had been super mindful of not leaving a mess, keeping the noise down, and had even been keeping an eye on traffic in the street to make sure it was safe for their young daughters who were playing in the front yard. We've had bad contractors and we've had good contractors. Roman Leal gets 5 star because we really think they are the whole package. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't have them out to at least bid on your job.

My newly textured ceiling and freshly painted walls!
Brett K.

Roman and his team just completed a painting and popcorn ceiling removal project at my new condo. This being my first home purchase I was very green and not sure what questions to ask. Roman completely took care of me from start to finish. He was responsive, reliable, and went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied with every aspect of the work. The guys did an incredible job and completely transformed the place....and made it smell brand new!!!!!!! I could not be happier with the work done and would highly recommend Roman Leal to any new home owner!

Used cheap materials. Used indoor paint on the outside. Nothing was right and Roman is a salesman more than anything. Good luck with him.

I finished a bathroom remodel with Koren and Daniel in March 2025. The process of getting there was painful in terms of communication and steering, but at least the shiny new bathroom they initially delivered was not bad. However, in September 2025 the shower tiles started popping out of the floor. I texted them and they had to come in and replace it. Okay maybe it was a one-off. But then less than a year later, by April 2026 the *replaced* tiles started popping out again. I tried dealing with it myself with tile glue, but other tiles kept popping out. I texted them again in August, and this time they said that they stand behind their work for only one year from the original project date, and I need to pay $1200 if I want them to fix it. Notice that it hasn't been 1 year even from the replacement date. It's really not worth it. Go with the slightly more expensive contractor they will do the job right once and for all.

We are having to delay our remodeling project till next year, so I may update this review at a…read morelater date, but the responsiveness and customer service of ATX Remodeling already deserves a resounding 5 Stars! Koren was super pleasant to work with all around. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. A lot of a great ideas during the initial meeting, for how to keep our project within budget, and where it was worth splurging or dialing back. We had requested a bid on two main projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were shocked by how much of the "bonus" projects we could fit in, and yet felt very confident with Koren's insights that these were realistically within our budget. The formal quote came in REALLY fast after our meeting, and was very easy to follow and extremely fairly priced. Was very impressed with how quickly they were ready to begin the work, and the forethought of asking us if we planned to "live-in" during the remodel vs. get an AirBNB or the like. We hadn't even thought of that. Would have been very confident in moving forward with ATX Remodeling. Especially as Koren had so many examples of the type of elaborate communication and oversight we would have at every stage of the process.

The bathroom had not been updated since the 70s and a small leak from the plumbing was starting to cause water spots on the ceiling of the room below. We had several companies come out to bid on the project but ultimately chose LFM because we trusted them and worked well with Tommy. The project went smoothly and Tommy frequently stopped by to check on progress. I really liked the WhatsApp thread used to communicate since it kept everyone on the same page. They also provided an easy to use spreadsheet to help track what we needed to purchase for the project and when we would need it. Tommy was always great to jump in and provide recommendations when we got stuck since this was our first remodel project. Our goal was to open up the room as much as possible since it was originally small and crammed. Tommy and Jose did a great job providing recommendations and confirming what we could and couldn't due with the space. They ended up creating a lot more space by removing a doorway frame, removing unnecessary soffits, and converting the door to a pocket door. The rest of the crew was always friendly and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. They were also easy to work with for any remaining punch list items. We love the final result and the kids are so happy to have a new (pink) bathroom to use. We also ended up adding a few small projects at the end since we had such a good experience with the team. We had them re-insulate our attic, including removal of the old insulation and foam boards. They also demoed a built-in cabinet in our hallway and repaired the wall so we can make the space more usable. Overall the LFM team was great to work with and we'll reach out again for our next project!

Horrible company and a very disappointing experience. We hired this company based on the positive…read morereviews, expecting professional and honest work. The contract was to insulate and drywall our detached garage, including R-30 wall and attic insulation, which we paid for in full. Unfortunately, their subcontractor installed R-15 insulation in the walls instead of the agreed-upon R-30. The attic was also only partially insulated. Because the attic was difficult to access, I asked the company to provide pictures showing the completed insulation. They sent me photos claiming to show our attic, but the pictures were actually of someone else's attic. I did not discover this until later, when an HVAC company was working in our attic and showed me pictures confirming that the insulation was only partially installed. This was not simply poor workmanship--it was misleading and dishonest. We paid for work that was not completed according to the contract, and we were given pictures that did not even show our property. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be extremely careful and verify the work yourself before making any final payment.

I didn't have the budget to do a complete renovation so I got onto Yelp to find a reasonably priced company that would do a decent job resurfacing. Out of all the companies I contacted, Jose was the first person to respond to my request for a quote (he reached out to me in an hour or so). I read a review on here that says he does the classic "under promise and over deliver." I completely agree. He gave me a quote, but warned me it could be higher if they found some issues when they dug into the work. Thankfully we had none of those issues! We nailed down the scheduling over text, which for me is the most convenient way to schedule these kinds of things. He was very communicative when he needed to change the schedule by a day. Also, he was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive in all my interactions with him. They did the job in about 4 hours and I was blown away by how nice it looks. Not only did he fix the cracks and holes in the tub, but he also removed an outdated metal bar (for handing washcloths) and completely restored the tile around the top of the tub. The whole bathtub started as a dingy yellowed thing, and now gleams in a beautiful white color. Again, see the after pictures I posted. After they finished, Jose verbally went over how to care for the tub with me, and then he emailed me written instructions as well. In addition to that, Jose also gave me suggestions for replacing the hardware in the shower (you'll notice in the pictures there's no shower head or water handles...those are coming soon:). I highly recommend Jose and All Surface Renew. When it comes time to resurface the tub in my other property, I'll be contacting Jose again!

But I shot over a picture to All Surface, they said they could handle it, they refinished it, and it literally looks like it rolled straight out of the factory (and for roughly 1/4th the price of a replacement). The work is perfect, communications great, the price for the amount of work is very fair, and we are thrilled with the end result. These guys get 5 out of 5 with no need to round up ... I'd give 'em a 6 out of 5 if I could :-)
