However, after I got back to my hotel 20 mins away opened the pizza box and my order was messed up they gave me the wrong pizza, I called back the store to correct my order and the cook was very rude telling me I have to pay delivery fee even after I wasted 40 mins driving to/from the store. I don't eat pork, he tried telling me that the topping on the pizza was beef (pepperoni, sausage, and bacon) really. I don't recommend this place poor customer service and there's no true ambiance looks a little run down. Look at this photo and tell me if this looks like any beef toppings. We order from Roma all the time, so I consider us to be regular customers. We have always received great food and service from them, and they are super convenient to our home. Our usual order is a calzone with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and onion. A medium calzone usually runs from $16.99-19.99 depending on what kind you get. Ours has always been $16.99, plus tax. We've been super busy getting ready for Christmas, so I placed an order for a medium calzone, and my husband picked it up while running errands. He came home and said, "The price of their calzones must have gone up because our order was $28+ for a medium calzone." Before calling, I looked up prices on the menu, and they were the same as usual. I called to inquire about the charge and was told the price was correct. I asked why all of the other times I ordered the same calzone, the price was $16.99. His answer was that I needed to order the deluxe calzone and have them take off the green pepper and hamburger in order to get that price and that whoever took my order didn't realize that, so they charged me for every ingredient in my calzone. Absolutely no mention of crediting back any of the charges, just to order it differently next time. I was shocked because most businesses would try to make things right, especially for reglar customers. I think it's time that we look for another place to order our calzones. read more

In Blacksburg there is a very similar restaurant to Italiano's called Roma Pizza. Roma is super close to food lion and near my house so its more convenient than Italiano's. So one night, when I was eating vegetarian I decided to order through grubhub. The food is very similar to Italiano's (their menu's are really similar). It is good, and they have a lot of options. This time I wanted to be adventitious so I got the pizza roll and I added eggplant parmigiana to it, but I normally just get the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. The pizza roll took a little longer and the man at the cash register told me it took longer since they had to freshly fry the eggplant which got me excited. So I drove home which was less than 2 minutes. When I got home I opened my coke and was ready to devour this pizza roll. I started to eat it and by my third bite I realized It was a little too cheesy for me, and the eggplant didn't seem to be drained properly, since the food as a whole was very greasy. The food portions here however are huge! Normally, one order can feed two people comfortably. Since their was too much cheese, and the food was too greasy for me, I ended up throwing half of it away. Overall, Roma's is a great place to order if you have a large party or need a meal after light drinking. However, when I order in the future I'll probably stick to the regular eggplant parmigiana sandwich since it is normally good and has few errors. read more

The flavor was GREAT, as the Large or 12" Cheese Steak Works Sandwich (~$9) came with cheese, steak, onion, mushroom, green pepper, banana pepper, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I would DEFINITELY recommend the cheese steak and be sure to come with an appetite. The Cajun Fries and Garlic Knots were good but nothing great or special. The Garlic Knot could have been a bit more flavorful, as it just tasted like soft bread dipped in marinara sauce. When your calzone-loving wife says it's the best calzone she's ever had, you must be on to something! We had just made it into town after a long day of traveling. We've been looking forward to trying some local eats since I'll be in town on business for a few days. But after the long day and delays on the road, we were exhausted. Cue "settling" for the take-out menus. Ordering was just a little difficult as it was hard to understand the nice man taking our order and they had to call back because they got the credit card number confused, but they were very nice throughout and very customer-oriented. I've got to say, if this is what settling gets you, I want more. That was some quality food. Just the right amount of greasy, the toppings were zesty and spicy, and the sauce was aces. Most places we order from back home have a 3 or 5 mile limit on delivery and their food is cold if we are near their geographic limit. Roma got our order to Comfort Inn on the South side of Blacksburg and it was piping hot and amazing. For food, we're planning to explore the town a little bit while we're here, but going to recommend Roma to lots of people. read more

This is definitely the best pizza and closest to home we have had anywhere in VA or CA. And yes we have tried the highly acclaimed B****'s and were not impressed. My delivery service was extremely poor. Waiting time was average. But when I opened up my food I found my pizza must have been carried sideways. All the cheese spilled and pooled to one side. If the food was still hot I probably could have salvaged the pizza. But it had already set and sort of hardened. So I had to eat a piece of crust with a little sauce and then take a bite of the hardened cheese. Hardly pizza. My meal also came without any utensils. Tough to eat a salad with your fingers. I specifically called out that delivery would be to a hotel and since most of us don't travel with a spare set of silverware you'd hope Roma would have helped me out. No napkins or anything either.
