Quite honestly was disappointed by this order. Was told that this was one of the better local delivery places in the area... Yet the order was put together haphazardly, items were not described accurately on the menu, nor by the person taking the order, and food quality was mediocre. If someone is ordering a to go order over $25 like they INSIST -, it's downright stingy and mean spirited to not provide any napkins or silverware whatsoever. I understand Restaurants like to claim that they are struggling, but that's hardly a reason to be mean spirited and allow someone to spend over $30 in food and not put a single napkin into their delivery order. Let alone utensils with which to eat the food. That's just either lazy, stingy, greedy, or unthoughtful. The pita and hummus is hardly pita, whatever that giant baked dough mess was that got shoved into the bag, unsanitary without any proper protection - was bland, and fat to doughy and heavy to be proper pita bread. They don't have lemon for the seafood or shrimp, and the cocktail sauce is in little ketchup packets made mostly of chemical ingredients, no real food content and not healthy. And again with the stinginess, they provided two little tiny ketchup packets for 10 shrimp. So not enough even for the shrimp that you've ordered. It basically allowed me to dip for shrimp. Was told that "everything is made fresh" but I think that they're deceiving themselves that this is wholesome, edible food. The cannoli was soggy and inedible. We threw out half of it. The bread mess was bland and again, not proper pita bread, shrimp was fine but with no lemon or cocktail sauce, just bland fried shrimp. Nothing special. On top of that they had a seven dollar delivery fee despite the fact that they are five minutes away from where we were??!? In NY and Boston delivery upcharges are three dollars or five dollars, so seven dollars in Roanoke Virginia just feels again, unnecessary and greedy. So for approximately $25 worth of food, if you're also paying the driver, you're spending a $12 + upcharge for mediocre food with no utensils or napkins or proper condiments. Their menu is totally revamped. Prices have truly increased greatly. A pepperoni out the door is $19. It used to be 16 plus they gave sodas as a special. I understand prices have increased all around. But I think I'll go bargain pizza next time. $7 vs $19 for the same size is really crazy. Parking situation is still the same. The restaurant itself is clean. Wait time for a walk in even when the restaurant is empty is 20-25 minutes. Note the sizes are no longer small medium or large. I don't know which is supposed to be a large but I'm guessing it's a double delight based on my memory for previous dimensions. And when you look at the menu itself I couldn't figure out the base price because the prices listed show what the topping price is. I'm getting old. Need things to be simpler not more complicated. Getting the pizza home we decided that was it for this place. There was hardly anything. No sauce, the crust was 3 inches from the corner. It was not worth $19. read more

I've ordered from Basil Pizza numerous times and the pizza is ALWAYS delicious! My favs are the Margherita Pizza and Veggie pizza...DELISH!

When the cook takes his shoes off, wipes the bottom of his feet then puts his shoes back on and doesn't wash his hands before making the pizza it is not only gross it's not hygienic.. Neither is scratching your under carriage , and rubbing your hands through your hair and not washing your hands before making someone's food. Do not recommend. Would give negative stars if I could but I can't so. Will never go here again read more

As with the quality of their food, the staff's sense of customer service has been great too. We've been treated well every time we get food from them. Additionally, the interior has that comfortable casual dining feeling that you'd want from a place like this. Since this place opened not so long ago, I wanted to go out and try it, and today my friend and I decided to do just that. When one arrives to the restaurant the building is not too impressive. It looks like if one time it housed a bank branch with a small drive through teller. But after we parked and entered the restaurant, we found it was clean and tastefully decorated with comfortable tables and chairs as well as booths. As we entered we were greeted by the owner and asked to take a seat and review the menu that was at the tables as he brought us our drinks. The menu was nice and colorful with a variety of Mediterranean items that well complemented the pizza selection. We ordered a large Super Supreme Pizza, which was among the Specialty Pizzas, and contained pepperoni, sausage, ham, beef, green peppers, onions, black olives, and mushrooms. We were the only ones there at the time because we were having an early dinner and it felt a bit strange not having more people eating at the place but we talked as the pizza was being prepared. The waiting time was more than the expected, but then again with only one employee at the time, it was natural that it be. When the pizza was finally served it looked and tasted very unique. The dough was flavorful in its simplicity. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the cheese was soft and delicious. And what gave the pizza this one of a kind texture and flavor. All of a sudden the fact that the place was empty didn't matter because all our focus and concentration was on the pizza and it's marvelous texture and flavor. I definitely would recommend this place to experience a different but very good and unique pizza. They also had a display case with what looked like very nice desserts but we had plans to go elsewhere for dessert. But the flavor of the pizza itself was reason enough to want to return. read more

Our delivery was stated to arrive within 30 minutes according to the email we received after placing an order online, but ended up taking just over an hour to arrive. Ordered delivery with Doc. Got a pizza, a cheesesteak roll, and a chicken wrap to split between us. It was still warm when it got here which was awesome and it looked good. The roll was the best item by far followed by the pizza and last the chicken wrap. It was all fine and filled us up but didn't really have a eye opening experience like I've had before. I ordered on line at 5:20 for 6:15?pick up. when I arrived at pick up window at 6:13 the young lady seemed confused about my order, then she checked on it and came back and said it was not ready. please pull around and wait??? so I pulled around and waited 6 more minutes. the place had no customers inside so I am not sure of the delay. now for the food, average at best in flavor, but I will say you get a lot of food. ordered wings because previous review said they are crispy! not the case. the were big wings that were chewy and rubbery. the sauce was bbq and it did not taste good. we threw them away. my spaghetti was ok, sauce tasted weird but it was ok. chicken on top cooked well and my box was loaded full. wife's stuffed roll according to her was good. salad was fresh and crisp. the food is overall ok. nothing great. service is weak. We tried Basil Pizza for dinner and loved it! I am personally a very picky eater and didn't expect much, but holy cow. We had a buffalo chicken pizza and a pepperoni roll and they were great! The sauce tasted good and so did the breading. My kid even ate his pizza crust, which he never does, because he said it tasted good. Super glad we gave this place a try. Last night I ordered a Supreme Pizza, delivery. The reviews are so wonderful I was excited to get my order. It got here in a quick manner and the delivery guy was kind and polite. The pizza was huge to say the least $33 not a bad price for so much. Then we tried to eat it. Nothing but mushrooms, cheese and some green pepper. WHAT! No sauce, no anything else. Why couldn't I get one like everyone else raves about. Sadly, I called this evening and spoke to a young lady that said sorry about that. There is still more than half in the box because it was so bland we couldn't eat it. I asked her if someone else called in to say they got my order and she just blew it off with an I don't know.
