I never get it right at Rolys, the people, from the manager to the cleaners, everyone is rude.

Yummy tandoori chicken sandwich, good coffee deal, decent croissant, good value. I have not eaten there yet, but take out is very good.

I was glad I ordered the 12" as it was very moreish. My companions had the Manhattan Heat which, with the jalapeños, was hot as was the Nduja ordered by companion #3. The house basil pizza was the fourth. We had ordered garlic bread to share before the pizza arrived but it was served almost as the last pizza slices were being hoovered up. Not to worry - it got demolished anyway. One small peeve however. Whilst the BYO policy is very welcome, I felt the €7.50 charge per bottle is taking the proverbial, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. That said, a very good pizza in a cosy setting with friendly, attentive staff. Recommended.

Erm LOVED this place!!! We sat in the shed, all 11 of us, cosy as bugs in a rug. Aside from the smugness, you can also plug in your phone to play music, there's a gorgeo little stove for the winter time, lots of cushions and blankets, and there are seats going all the way round the table, so it's a super social space where you can chat with everyone at the same time. I haven't even gotten to the food yet - the pizzas are perfect - stone baked base, good quality toppings and very simple, no fuss. Only thing I would change would maybe adding in some extra sides / starters, like some different dipping sauces / side salads or starters etc. Oh and best of all, it's BYO! Winner!!

Some of the fat drips into the pastry dough, making it extremely rich and yummy. A hearty start to the day. Cranberry White Chocolate Flapjack: Kinda like a granola bar meets a big spread of caramel. Definitely loving the combo of crunchy and smooth. Peanut Butter Flapjack Cup: Thought the peanut butter flavor granola, with some chocolate disc on top, was pretty nice too. Love pairing something healthy with something not. Pain Au Chocolate: Flaky and chocolatey, it did the trick. Not the flakiest, but that's ok.

Went in and asked for my bacon buttie only to be told. We only do them for breakfast (stops at 11)!!! Oh come on! Take your breakfast board in after 11 and put out your lunch board! So after the devastating news I spotted that they did gourmet sausage rolls. Yum. I'll have one of those. I ordered a sage and rosemary sausage roll. The sausage meat itself was really nice but as we all know pastry does not fare well in the microwave. This cafe is on the corner of a busy junction and you can sit at the window facing the world (great for people watching). There is also some out door seating.

With this in mind I set out in 2015 to find Brendans Cafe for a full Irish Breakfast. On Brendans journey he is said to have encountered a sea monster....on my journey a man in a sleeveless jacket menacingly drove a forklift truck along the path in front of us like something from Mad max. The voyage ended in the sitting down in this unassuming haunt for a very enjoyable breakfast set in the heartland of old school Dublin. They actually serve Brennans batch bread with the breakfast aswell as a shot of Orange juice to wet the whistle and a mug of tea/coffee. Places like Brendans Cafe are great, it will never try to be anything that it is'nt and it will never need to either. It is more than enough, the large breakfast at €8.50 is a real charming plate of food and I have to say that its refreshing to visit the kind of Cafe that has been doing the same thing right for quite a long time and hopefully will continue to fry up a storm for many years to come. Brendan even said "Well done" when I paid. There was something nice about the whole experience and I will be making a voyage here again in the near future no doubt.

It is a great place - hasn't changed in maybe 30 years with a feel that it could be back in the mid seventies! 100% authentic, it serves a voluminous breakfast which is very tasty and cooked freshly for you .... though if you like toast with no butter - better to warn the staff beforehand :) A place I regularly bring visitors for something real - it never fails to make a positive impression!
