Right around the corner from Juniors (erm.. both of them!!) and the chophouse and a couple of other well established eateries is the brand spanking new Foodgame. I mention the other eateries as Ross - the owner of Foodgame has been quite clever - he has positioned himself as a purveyor of luxery Irish made foods as well as putting together an exceptionally well priced menu. we had 3 coffees, 1 fresh apple juice, 2 saussage baguettes and jam on toast for breakfast, the total -20 Euro. so, quality food at the right price, it fits in perfectly with the surrounding establishments. The current menu is a little restricted but I am told that within 2 weeks there will be a full brunch menu with a couple of hot meal choices in the evening and a sort of tapas choice for the rest of the day. Most importantly, they stock Mellas Fudge - the vanilla one that is sooooo good! I reckon Foodgame is definately worth a shot, I'll be back... once the bigger brunch menu is in place!

Cappuccino and French omelette (ham and cheese with brown bread) Delicious!

Cozy and comfortable, perfect for a quick breakfast or a relaxing brunch with friends. The atmosphere is warm and feels like your moms kitchen. I ordered the French omelette with ham and cheese and brown bread. Fresh and delicious and filled me up perfectly. Cappuccino was also incredible, service was friendly and laid back.

I had a Sunday brunch with a couple friends and I can't complain about it. We didn't have a reservation and the place was quite busy yet we were sitted in no time. Can't believe I haven't eaten here yet!! Everything was dropped to our table and service friendly and nicely. Eggs with salmon, beautiful BLT and natural orange juice were all the perfect choice for a rainy morning. The service was kind and helpful at all times and the price was very reasonable. I'll be definitely back.

I had heard good things about this place, but I never like to let other people's recommendations sway my own experience of somewhere... Alas there was no need for my scepticism, the people have spoken and they speak the truth: Foodgame is supremely superb! The nice, chilled and friendly vibes were the first thing that hit me as I walked in, a very pleasant change from the dog-eat-dog queues that squelch out of the neighbouring Juniors.. No, Foodgame is markedly more chilled, with newspapers lying around waiting to be read over a delicious coffee, cake, sambo or soup. OH THE SOUP. I was not expecting anything mind-boggling because I just don't like carrot soup as a rule but didn't feel like a sandwich and wanted more than salad, so carrot soup it was! And wasn't I the cat who got the crater of cream when I took my first bite. This was a bowl of liquidised vegetables like no other, and so flavoursome! The accompanying brown bread was fresh from the oven -can you really ask for anything better than that?! At €4.50 I really was at risk of dying of smugness from my delicious bargain lunch!

Absolutely amazing Coffee/Breakfast/Lunch spot! After arriving in Dublin, a local resident recommended we stop at this place in the neighborhood we were staying in. It's a very small, local spot with a friendly staff and homey atmosphere. The food is prepared to order and fresh. I had their Poached Eggs on Toast with Avocado and Smoked Salmon. What a great tasting breakfast! No reservations. Just walk in and have coffee and a meal and make friends with the other patrons and staff!

Went there for breakfast - coffee, scrambled eggs and bread. Must say this place is cool, lovely interior design, easy and cosy! Great place it have a chilled morning in a personal spot and an extra plus: the breakfast was very good - what I liked most was the bread, tasted home made and if not very good quality! I like my macchiato - these guys can do one!

I walked by here the other day during my lunch break and grabbed sandwich. They have 4 sandwich selections a day (including vegetarian options), 2 salad options, and a soup of the day. Get a combo for 8.50, just a sandwich for 6.50. The ingredients used were great for the chicken chorizo sandwich I ordered - the chicken was perfectly seasoned, the spicy mayo was AMAZING, and the chorizo was lovely. I wished there was a bit of healthy stuff/leaf in there - perhaps some rocket would have been perfect. They use wholegrain(?) toast which is good, but really scratches up your mouth as it's so dry when toasted. I wish there was a fluffier loaf, but at least they slabbed on the spicy mayo to make it moist enough. I'll definitely come back to try more of the options, I just haven't had enough to really know if this place is at 4/5 stars!

Delicious omelette and smoked salmon with a cup of green tea

Delicious little spot for breakfast to start your day off right. This place clearly has a large throng of loyal followers, they keep loyalty cards behind cashier which I always think is such a nice idea. Another really lovely idea I spotted was "buy your mate a coffee" which is where you buy coffee for your friend and their name goes up on the wall, so they come in and unbeknownst to them their coffee has already been paid for! They also have a cute treasure chest of toys for the little ones, I had to stop myself from going over and checking it out. All the above makes this place very deserving of my full 5 stars, but added to that is the scrumptiously simple food and delightful decor. We opted for omelette and smoked salmon, both of which were so tasty and the salmon was so fresh. We spotted some Quinoa cakes and gluten free lemon drizzle cake which would go nicely with a coffee, no almond milk (yet, I'm hoping!) but they do have soya. Lunch also looks really appetising with a vegetarian dish of the dish every day! I'd heard some great things about Food Game, and after having eaten here I can understand what its all about! I'll be back

My Veronese with ham and mushrooms was excellent. I was glad I ordered the 12" as it was very moreish. My companions had the Manhattan Heat which, with the jalapeños, was hot as was the Nduja ordered by companion #3. The house basil pizza was the fourth. We had ordered garlic bread to share before the pizza arrived but it was served almost as the last pizza slices were being hoovered up. Not to worry - it got demolished anyway. One small peeve however. Whilst the BYO policy is very welcome, I felt the €7.50 charge per bottle is taking the proverbial, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. That said, a very good pizza in a cosy setting with friendly, attentive staff. Recommended.

Aside from the smugness, you can also plug in your phone to play music, there's a gorgeo little stove for the winter time, lots of cushions and blankets, and there are seats going all the way round the table, so it's a super social space where you can chat with everyone at the same time. I haven't even gotten to the food yet - the pizzas are perfect - stone baked base, good quality toppings and very simple, no fuss. Only thing I would change would maybe adding in some extra sides / starters, like some different dipping sauces / side salads or starters etc. Oh and best of all, it's BYO! Winner!!

So after the devastating news I spotted that they did gourmet sausage rolls. Yum. I'll have one of those. I ordered a sage and rosemary sausage roll. The sausage meat itself was really nice but as we all know pastry does not fare well in the microwave. This cafe is on the corner of a busy junction and you can sit at the window facing the world (great for people watching). There is also some out door seating.
