What an amazing Golf experience! Greens are in great shape. The outside bar is the best spot to watch any sporting event. The restaurant and food is amazing. Was very excited to try this place after hearing it was 100% lite at night. The thought being that I could play here once a week during the summer. Unfortuantely, not the case. Weekends, a round is $100 after 6pm. $75 during prime time hours during the week. My experience, I paid the $100 and was never able to play because of lighting. I was told that I had a $100 credit on my account. Not the case. I rebooked a tee time at $75 for the round. Because of their systems, I in essence paid $100+tax for a $75 round. To the get remaining balance, I was told to call management. Bottom line, I will not be back because of this situation plus tee mats, and many of the things mentioned in other people's comments. This place is far from being ready for prime time as an alternative. I felt like I was playing at a trailer park. On a positive note... Taco food truck was great and reasonably priced. Same with the Drinks trailer. Beer cart was visibly present and driver friend service oritented. Still will not be back... read more

My retired snowbird mom golfs here often. When we visited the week between Christmas and New Years, she treated us to 18 holes at twilight price. I'm a mediocre golfer who only golfs maybe twice a year, so take my words with a grain of salt: I loved this course. The scenery is beautiful, and it felt low pressure. I didn't lose any balls! And the staff was really nice to my mom, which matters a lot to me. You can't drive your golf cart down to your car to load up your bags, so you've got to hoof them a little bit uphill. That's okay, though: I think we're spoiled at the golf course at which we can do that. read more

Never played this course before the renovation. I like the layout. greens are generally in good shape. Tee boxes are chewed up and looking pretty bad. My biggest complaint? They allow, and seemingly encourage , large group. We were behind an 8-some. spoke to the guys in the clubhouse and was told that they allowed that. The management definitely seems to be marketing the course to a crowd that I am not a part of. I'll vote with my wallet and stay away, and suggest the same to anyone who I have a discussion about this course. read more

This used to be a fun, value round. Since the remodel, it's become an overpriced, headache, with the same mid course. I also think I've never had worst customer service at a clubhouse. We showed up about an hour early to our Saturday morning tee time. All practice areas were closed, range, putting green, everything. No explanation, no apology. My niece was in town visiting and we went night golfing. OMG so much fun!!! I would recommend this to everyone. The checkin staff were super chill and friendly. Course tee boxes and greens are in great shape. I've been going constantly since the reopen. Nothing has really changed and there doesn't seem to be anything being done like the club house remodel, and the large/main chipping area is still closed. Service is fine for the most part, but nothing special. The main issue is the price now. It's now 76 to play. That is inanely overpriced for a par 3 course. For the course, its price is way too high. I can't justify going back when you can play Papago for about 20 dollars more along with several other courses within 5 mi. The big issue is the range. It's just sand and with no use of mats, all you can do is use a driver off a tee. Even then, you're limited to 220 yards. Please put some money into the range. No way this place will last with the prices they are charging and it will only go up. Feels like they overextended themselves, and not have to charge way more to cover their monthly expenses and debt. read more

I wish I was able to give half stars, my husband and I would both rate this good course as a 3.5 - the pace of play is terrible, there is no one out regularly checking on the groups to make sure that everything is going along as it should or to help if needed. The staff are nice enough, but aren't outgoing. The course was fun to ride along (I'm not a golfer, I drive the golf cart), we played around 2 and were there when the sun was setting. There's no doubt it's beautiful, there isn't a bunch of the greenery as we are in the desert. The bathrooms on the course are very odd. There is no door covering the one stall for the ladies room, that anyone could walk into. However there is a locked door leading to a closet I'm assuming, that's by the sink. It's very odd and I'd rather not use it due to the no door thing. Don't be surprised if you find yourself returning clubs to the group in front of you, we did it twice. Great location, not sure if we'd recommend BUT we wouldn't not recommend (odd I know). read more

I've played this course a few time and absolutely no issues or experiences as those described earlier. Cart lady has always been super sweet. So affordable, great twilight rates, amazing views (especially sunset), cute rabbits chillen everywhere, nice greens. I'll definitely continue to go back. read more

This place used to be an after-work cool down to play 18 holes for less than $25. I feared when they got taken over by a big name, the price would more than double. I played here once they opened back up and running to learn that after 8:00pm, the course is 9 holes only, for $50. The summer previous was less than half at the twilight hours. The place lost its charm with the takeover. Marginal differences in the course, a 68% increase in price to play 9 holes ($45 for 9 holes up from $22 for 18 holes last summer) and a cheap superficial vibe. It's sad to see but I'm willing to try in a couple years to see if it's worth it or no, as of right now, as someone whose played the course 30 or so times, it's not worth it. read more

Golfed last week and there were groundskeepers on 2 separate holes watering. As we approached, they barely moved and left the hoses in and around the green; they acted rude and unprofessional as if we were in their way. The fairway rocks on the back 9 are quite a distraction and adds a very negative variable to the game. read more

Cool little track. Staff was an unprofessional. I asked why the price was different than online (85) and why I had to pay 150. They Laughed and said cause we can over charge cause of the waste management. Almost left then, gave it a chance anyways. Gave us a cart that didn't function properly and wouldn't change us out. I have played here 3 times now and it is incredible. Once they redo the clubhouse and get this thing going it will be a gem. I even left my rangefinder there and went back a week later and they had it. That never happens these days. Only thing I'd like to see change is the driving range is down range from the 2nd tee. My last time out I got hit in the thigh from someone hitting balls in the range. Surprisingly it wasn't that terrible, but now every time on that hole I am playing speed golf. I'd love to see a solution so nobody gets hit in the future. read more

This a great course if you are looking to practice your par 3 game. Even though this is an executive course, they still have a pretty good amount of par 4's which was nice. The greens seemed pretty well maintained. The putting greens were running super fast. Great service at the clubhouse. They have a very small putting practice green so don't expect to get the best practice for putting in. Great views of Tempe on a lot of holes too. Definitely recommend checking this course out! read more

This course is easy to find plenty of parking. Walking in to the right is the bar and the left is the clubhouse. The prices are really affordable and helps you to enjoy playing the course a lot more. Do not bring your good clubs to play here because if you miss hit a ball on the back 9, you will be hitting out of the rocks that are in the "fairways". You are in danger of tripping and falling on these rocks too, so be very careful. read more

I played here on 7/14/18 for my first 18 holes of the day because it was close to my hotel and on not far from the second course (ASU Karsten). I was happily surprised that this short par 62 course was in as good of shape as it was for only $18 with cart. They had nice new electric carts, nice clubhouse and the overall course was in decent summer shape. Had a nice mix of holes (mostly par 3s) and three different tee boxes. Since I was playing with two local guys, I played from the same tees as them but should have played from the back tees for more challenge. The greens were either nice or a little shaggy but overall they played well. They had a beverage cart and actual water fountains on the course (pic) that were pretty cold. This is a nice place to learn or go get a quick round before or after work. read more

Great course for the price! Paid $19 for a round of 18 (in June at 4:30pm). The greens and tee boxes were in good condition. The views were spectacular, with the planes flying overhead, Tempe buildings, and Papago mountains. There are also cold water fountains on the course! Cons: There was a group of kids who were shirtless the whole time (I'm young I usually don't care) but just made it seem trashy. People were also driving all over the course and on places they shouldn't have been. There needs to be some guidelines for these people so it doesn't ruin the course. read more

Course was in decent shape for it being summer time. All of the staff that I had contact with during my round was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are a beginner this course will definitely creep up on you and the greens are extremely fast. Overall I had a good time and not bad for a municipality course. read more

I called ahead of time to make sure I could get a cart by myself due to bringing home a newborn ( covid protocol) and I was assured that wouldnt be a problem, however KYLE in the proshop said he didnt care about covid after pairing me with two strangers - he also threw a temper tamtrum after trying to kick me off the course and was unsuccessful - then I was harrased by another worker about staying on the cart path for the final 2 holes. Course is beautiful - ive been playing for 20 years in the valley and never experienced such unprofessionalism. If Kyle would have told me about they're Cart debacle when I called originally - I would have booked with another course. Rolling Hills is two executive courses, and great for a quick cheap round of golf. Totally not an out of towner destination course, but a nice little local fave of mine. The front nine is the old course, and is a bit like mini-golfing, a fun distraction. You even get to hear the occasional strange animal sound from the zoo hidden behind the trees along a couple holes. The back nine is a newer build, and is way more challenging and scenic. Either way they both give a fantastic view of the valley, and it's a great place to play a quick 9 holes after work in just over an hour Only eaten at the clubhouse once, but both me and my bud liked our burgers, and it sits next to the 9th green, which is great for a little free entertainment. read more

What a terrible experience at this golf course. We didn't expect much from a $12 golf course but the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect from the staff here in unprecedented. The cart lady was something out of a nightmare, as we are pretty sure she was visibly drunk, slurring her words and picking fights with some of the golfers ahead of us and even made some very disrespectful comments towards my wife and I in front of our children! At one point it looked as if though she poured a whole beer on one of the golfers in front of us during an altercation. When we confronted the front office about the fiasco, they told us that they didn't care and even went so far as to call my wife an idiot. Definitely will not be coming back and recommend that anyone considering golfing here explore other options. read more

This course used to be fun. I scheduled a golf tournament here and was told 15 minutes between T time. The person on the phone sounded like he was new and said his manager was supposed to call and confirm the time. This never happened. The person assigning carts was extremely rude and had 0 adherents to his supervisor. This birthday tournament was more of a challenge than an enjoyable experience. I have been a loyal supporter of this golf course but this has made me think twice about coming back. read more

This place is a dog track. First, the good: with their private lot, parking wasn't a problem. The restrooms at the clubhouse and around the course were in decent shape. The range will full size (you weren't hitting into a net). The greens were in good condition. Now, the bad: the course wasn't very green. The holes were very plain and not imaginative, even for an executive course. There was lots of gravel and scrub around, which makes for unappealing vistas. I would not play here again. read more

Played 18 holes in under 3 hours. It truly has rolling hills which provided a challenge for a beginning golfer. The round with a cart was very affordable at only $14. The scenery was very pretty with mountain views everywhere. The staff was very friendly and helped me find a pair to go out with as I had booked my tee time 20 minutes before showing up. This course is a hidden gem for locals (I live 8 miles from here and didn't know it existed) It is however just a municipal course but I did love the cart path and the greens were nicely maintained. If you are a serious golfer I would stay away but for beginners like me this place was great. read more

Played this course today and it is a nice place to play a round of golf. The greens were in good shape and fast, the tee boxes were also in good shape. The fairways were soft today so there wasn't much roll but did get a few crazy bounces. The course is visually pleasing and there are no houses anywhere near it. I got there about 12 and it was wide open. A very relaxing, unhurried and enjoyable round of golf. An executive course with just enough par 4s, a perfect course for me. Friendly staff. Kyle from the clubhouse called me an asshole and accused me of faking a chronic illness in order to ride in a single cart. His supervisor Desiree spoke to me on the phone but seemed disinterested in the encounter (maybe she didn't believe me or finds this behavior acceptable). She promised to follow up with me to make sure someone was being held accountable but I never heard back from her. When I checked the website it said that single carts were available due to their COVID guidelines (the website was updated shortly after the encounter). I was playing on a weekday in the late afternoon and there were still plenty of carts available. Clearly they do not take their own COVID guidelines seriously. read more
