    Night Golf!!!

My niece was in town visiting and we went night golfing. OMG so much fun!!! I would recommend this to everyone. The checkin staff were super chill and friendly. This was a first for all us and we will definitely be back. We went at 9:50 on a week night and there was no waiting in between holes. It was great.

I wish I was able to give half stars, my husband and I would both rate this good course as a 3.5 - the pace of play is terrible, there is no one out regularly checking on the groups to make sure that everything is going along as it should or to help if needed. The staff are nice enough, but aren't outgoing. The course was fun to ride along (I'm not a golfer, I drive the golf cart), we played around 2 and were there when the sun was setting. There's no doubt it's beautiful, there isn't a bunch of the greenery as we are in the desert. The bathrooms on the course are very odd. There is no door covering the one stall for the ladies room, that anyone could walk into. However there is a locked door leading to a closet I'm assuming, that's by the sink. It's very odd and I'd rather not use it due to the no door thing. Don't be surprised if you find yourself returning clubs to the group in front of you, we did it twice. Great location, not sure if we'd recommend BUT we wouldn't not recommend (odd I know).

I've played this course a few time and absolutely no issues or experiences as those described earlier. Cart lady has always been super sweet. So affordable, great twilight rates, amazing views (especially sunset), cute rabbits chillen everywhere, nice greens. I'll definitely continue to go back.

Tucked away behind a curtain, this little speakeasy-style spot feels like you've discovered a secret Scottsdale hideaway. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, chill, and just the right amount of sexy. Definitely giving late-night cocktails and good music energy. The music was actually one of my favorite parts. It created this effortlessly cool backdrop without being overwhelming, so we could relax, sip our drinks, and enjoy the vibe. It felt sophisticated but still very laid-back -- exactly what I want from a post-dinner cocktail spot. We started with the Porn Star Martini and the Mocha Martini, along with a couple glasses of champagne because obviously we had to keep the celebration going. And yes... we loved them enough that we ordered another round of both martinis LOL. The Porn Star Martini was fruity, playful, and perfectly balanced, while the Mocha Martini was rich, smooth, and dessert-like without feeling overly heavy. Both were SO delicious and beautifully crafted. Our waitress was also incredibly sweet and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I always appreciate when the service matches the atmosphere, and she definitely added to the warm, welcoming feel of the night. And then came the snacks! They brought us truffle potato chips, truffle popcorn, and some delicious nuts to enjoy with our drinks. Everything was so good that we actually got a second refill because apparently we were not ready to share with the table next to us. The truffle flavor throughout the snacks was such a luxe little touch and paired perfectly with our cocktails. Overall, Bar Bambino is such a cool, sexy, intimate little escape. I loved the hidden entrance, the moody atmosphere, the music, the cocktails, and the little elevated snack situation. It's the kind of place that feels like a secret you want to keep to yourself... but also absolutely want to tell everyone about.

Got five pieces of zucchini and four mushrooms (2 of which were tiny) and one fried mystery vegetable. They came out way after the wings. Did the kitchen run out of product, or is this really what you get for $9? They were spread out on a dinner plate accompanied by a mound of spinach (to help fill the space?), which made the combo seem even more sparse. Wish server would have tipped us off not to order this. Went to see Brea Burns Sunday night. Show was supposed to start at 7. Opening act went on about 7:40 and played almost an hour = way too much. What we got was the 12 wings and found out that they fry them dip them in the sauce that you pick, and they grill the wings and re-dip them again for the sauce that you wanted. Very reasonable prices and a friendly crew. Thanks guys. Next time we are in town will surely be back. The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

What we didn't realize at the time was that we had stumbled upon one of those dishes that would stick with us! So when Liquor Pig closed, we were genuinely sad to see it go, but then delighted to learn that the same chef was spearheading Wayward and, most importantly, that the legendary bone marrow poutine made its way onto the new menu. And thankfully, it's still just as memorable! The bone marrow is incredibly luscious, rich, and decadent, and the whole dish is the perfect indulgent pairing for Wayward's creative cocktails. The portion is also a great size for two people to share, especially since it's definitely a rich dish. We also tried the Jaew Chicken which was tasty and definitely a little different from what I'd normally order. It was a nice addition to the meal, but honestly, the poutine is the reason we'll keep coming back to this place! While walking through the restaurant, I noticed quite a few tables enjoying the bone in short rib taco board and those portions are serious. That platter could easily feed four people, so it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group. All in all, I'm happy that Wayward has kept one of my favorite dishes from the Liquor Pig days alive.
