It's perfect for me to learn at, and it's very inexpensive. $20 for 9 holes or $24 for 18 in the summer. Push carts are a buck to rent (I haven't used one yet, but it's very nice to have the option). My favorite part is the honor box system, which allows me to play golf on my weird schedule when normal courses are closed or you still have to book a tee time in advance. If I have some free time, I can pop down here for a quick solo 9 holes, drop my money in the box, and get to golfing! The practice nets are good: a few balls in a bucket and a pad to hit from. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a quick warm-up before the round. I play during off-peak hours, so I have yet to run into anybody while on the course, but the residents seem nice. I wave or smile when they walk by, and they usually return the gesture. The greens are much nicer than expected and are surprisingly quick. I try to fix a couple of divots wherever I play, but here I usually can only find mine (on the rare occasions I actually hit a green). Perfect course for a beginner golfer like me. Great for learning chipping and putting, with a small hazard here or there. The fairways can be muddy after rain, and sometimes there's more dirt than grass, but I'm just happy to be out playing some golf. I'm thankful that the community welcomes the general public, and I'm glad to help upkeep the course if it keeps the rounds fairly priced! Can't wait to go back in November after they're done overseeding. Great job! One of these days, I'll actually show up when the pro shop is open so I can say hi.

Keeping my shots straight, avoiding the water and hazards. Until I came to the 5th hole. Since this was my first time here, and I should have checked the scorecard for the layout. We're used to it and we bring lots of cooling towels. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The driving range was limited to irons only during our visit, not sure why. The course was in great shape for the most part and the pace of play was ideal. There was no one in front of us or behind us pretty much the entire time. Food from the restaurant was decent. They provided a small "cooler" which is more like a small lunch bag for the drinks. The golf carts don't have coolers, which isn't a deal breaker, but a bit inconvenient especially since the lunch bag they gave us leaked and there wasn't a good spot for it in the cart. Regardless, we had a nice experience. We played all 18 holes and are excited to play again in the future!

Unlike many of the reviews I've seen, my experience was quite the opposite, in the best way. The course was in excellent condition, with some of the best greens I've ever played on in Arizona. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pace of play was just right. We were never rushed from behind or held up by the group in front. The beer was cold, the food was hot, and honestly, I have no complaints. It was an amazing time from start to finish.

I wasn't too hungry since I had a big breakfast with another friend that morning, so I just ordered a gem caesar salad ($12) and added grilled chicken (+$6). However, our server was leaving her shift soon. So while we were still eating, we went ahead and took care of our bill. She told us she would introduce us to the next server, but that never happened. No one else came to refill our waters. So I docked one star for that.

I was gifted a couple clubs from a family member and decided to put them to use but my knowledge of…read moregolf was limited to Top Golf until I started taking lessons with Jim. Full disclosure - I had swung a golf club maybe 2 times in my life before taking lessons. I am SO glad that I took lessons with Jim. He is very knowledgeable about the sport, but takes time to really understand you and works with you in the best method it takes for you to learn. You constantly see him writing notes and taking videos of your lessons (he also shares the videos with you after - self reflection and analysis is important!) and his feedback always makes me improve and feel better about my golf game. He truly caters the lesson to your needs and your abilities. He took time to really explain everything to me and answer all my (probably silly) questions and never made me feel dumb about not knowing golf terms or rules. He is very active and involved during the lesson which I appreciate so much. Definitely recommend Jim and taking lessons with him!!

Jim simplifies the approach and spends time on basics while leaving other fixes for later down the road. Jim also spends time on HOW to practice which is something my previous coaches didn't get into as much. In addetion to a rediculus $175 fitting fee should I choose not to do anything, or new shafts wont add anything to my game (most all other companies only charge $100 including manufature fitting days like Titleist on real turf) There was a considerable mark up un shafts as well. Example: A Newtoin Shaft from Newton costs about $300-$325 direct from Newton. I was informed that a Newton Shaft from Club Champion was more like around $450 because they claim to do something extra to the shaft.. I suddenly feel I would be shafted!!! If you are a scratch or near scratch golfer with money to burn, this might be your place. Or better yet fine tuning by the club manufacturers if you are good enough fith connections. But for the majority of golfers out there, you can get fitted and outfitted by a decent fitter and any golf store for a lot less and likely equal results on the score card.
