The perfect spot to go with friends whenever I crave korean street food style like tokbokki, gimbap and fried chicken. Roll House made these 3 items so delicious and I have been coming here for years and recommending this place to a lot of people. Their food is in big portion, filled with toppings and generous sauce, their banchans also tastes amazing and they serve a special type of tea that i really like. Usually the service is fast and very straightforward, but during my last visit the server was lowkey being rude with our table. When we asked for water with no ice she pointed at the tea bottle and told me that's water, then after brought the water out she rudely took the tea bottle and cup away. When we placed an order she acted confused even though we pointed the item number in the menu. During our meal she kept looking at our table and gave off the weird vibe, when I walked up to the register to pay she rudely shoo me back to my table. after that weird last visit, I guess I wont comeback during dinner time 7-8pm anymore, will stick to my usual 4-5pm visit.

I'd always heard great things about this spot as my husband and his coworkers often order their lunches from here via DoorDash so I decided to give it a try for dinner one night when I was craving Korean street food. My hubs and I shared the ddukboki with ramen, the fried seaweed rolls and the spicy pork kimbap. Although we came for dinner on a Tuesday evening, nearly every table was taken. Despite it being busy, our food arrived fairly quickly. I really enjoyed the fried seaweed rolls and ddukboki. The fried seaweed rolls were perfectly crispy and were really delicious to dip in the ddukboki sauce. The staff was friendly and attentive, even refilled all of our banchans (aka side dishes) without us even having to ask. Overall, was a great first time dining experience. Roll House has definitely replaced the previous Korean street food restaurant we used to go to. The only caveat is that it closes kinda early so it's not ideal for late night eats but that won't stop me from coming back for another round of fried seaweed rolls and ddukboki.

Really amazing Korean food with LARGE portions. FOOD [4.5/5] =========== + Free Miso Soup & Banchan (5/5) Delicious, good portion size, and great diversity in flavor. + Ddokboki (3.5/5) Not flavorful IMO, but the portion size is impressive. + Yuk Gae Jang (5/5) SO YUMMY. Humongous portion of beef, egg, and noodle. The spicy stew is cooked to perfection and bombards you with spicy flavor. I thought the spice was pretty mild, just a great balance. SERVICE [3/5] =========== -1 star only because one of the staff can be a bit ... stern at times-- they got annoyed when we asked a question about the rolls, and were a bit rude about accommodating our friends' meat allergy. They were more friendly after the dinner rush ended, but the abrasiveness left a sour taste in my mouth for the rest of the meal. :(

This restaurant is one of the only places in NorCal that offers authentic spicy rice cake and kimbap! Love that there are combination so you can have a little bit of everything! There is a korean channel that goes on every time we go and it's fun to watch because the sound is on too! The service is good and very helpful!

Great portion sizes here! I haven't ventured outside of the kimbaps here (since that's what they are known for), but the kimbaps have been more than enough to make me super happy. They are all delicious - every flavor has a solid, delicious baseline, but each flavor also offers up it's own element that you can clearly taste as well. Banchan is all delicious, service is super kind, and it has that homey, hole in the wall vibe that makes you feel super comfy. Prices are aligned to other Kroean restaurants in the area, however these are def one of my favorite kimbaps on el camino!

Their sides are phenomenal!!!! Went to this place with friends for lunch and it's a pretty tucked away place. The service was not as phenomenal but they met our every need, refilling our sides and listening to our requests. I got the Ramen Combo and it felt like something I could put together easily at home so it didn't feel that worth it to me but the kimbap was so yummy along with the tteokbokki. Would recommend for a hole-in-the-wall korean food spot!

Roll House is one of those restaurants that you drive by, know it's there, and may never stop for. However, those people are missing out if they never visit! It's in an unassuming plaza next to busy streets and under apartments. Plenty of parking as well. The wait to be seated is never too long and sometimes nonexistent. There's a TV playing Korean reality shows which is always amusing. The place is a fairly casual sit down restaurant. I've come to Roll House so many times and love their gimbap. The rolls are huge and fully packed. The fried shrimp roll has the best sauce in it. It is similar to a honey mustard taste so if you're a fan, it is a must try! The shrimp is always crunchy and never too oily. The other rolls aren't as flavorful in my opinion, but they're still good. The price is definitely worth it! They even have an option where you can order more specific select rolls for a bundle price. Orders come with banchan and soup. They also provide you a pitcher of barley tea. It's a great place to stop by if you're with a friend and want to catch up over a meal. Food is delicious and banchans are plentiful. Love their fish cake since it's different from other restaurants in the bay. Definitely will be back to satisfy my gimbap cravings!!

Saw someone recommended this place and would like to come try the Kimbaps. Rlly good portion and price, quite impressed. And the service was great. Very attentive. The place gets packed pretty fast during meal times and it closes pretty early as a Korean restaurant. Will comeback to try other things on the menu!

Ordered for pick up for the sweet and spicy chicken and cheese tteokbokki with soondae. Both dishes were decent when eating it at home. Though I felt like the coating on the chicken was too heavy and the sauce was over powering. It made it seem like I was eating more batter than chicken. The cheese tteokbokki with soondae had just 1 roll of soondae, a decent amount of rice cakes and fish cakes, but the dish was heavily cheese. The core of the container was a mix of unmelted and melted cheese. Fast forward to after this meal, I was on the freeway driving and I had to emergency find a bathroom because the poop storm had arrived. Literally explosive and lingering after. Whatever was in these dishes did not sit well with my stomach. And it wasn't the cheese because I avoided it. My boyfriend also reported a series of upset GI after consuming these dishes.

This Korean restaurant is known for their rolls or Gimbap. The menu had a variety of Korean dishes with plenty of options to choose from. Parking was a bit of a fight since the plaza was crowded and I would say you can expect a wait for this restaurant on a weekend day or at dinner time. Beef Gimbap: Amazing! Each piece was huge and the order came with 10 pieces. This is a must get here since it is what they specialize in. Tofu Soup: Definitely a solid soup, but I've had more flavorful ones. It does the job, but it isn't anything special. Korean Seafood Pancake: Good pancake with a good texture. I somewhat wish there was more seafood in it and it was a bit too oily. It could've been a tad bit more flavorful as well.

R12 Half and 1/2 Roll: Tuna & Beef
    Izzy T.

Delicious food for a good price point! Large portions as well, definitely had enough left over soup to take home! The half and half kimbap (tuna & beef for ours) were large and I loved the ratio of filling to rice! Usually it's too much rice but this was the perfect amount. The rose tteokboki is a good combination of spicy and creamy (think carbonara-esque) with tteokboki pieces, fish cake and bits of bacon! The spicy beef stew LOOKS extremely spicy but it's pleasant! It has a small kick at the end but it isn't overwhelmingly spicy to the point it hurts. It definitely still warms you up from the inside (comes with glass noodles inside and a side of rice.) The ginseng chicken soup is a new item added to their menu and it's simple in the best way, it's hearty and has a rich chicken flavor to it! The service was fast and quick and parking wasn't difficult at all. Tables are small (2-4 people per table) but it's cozy!

Stopped by to eat Korean food and this place did not disappoint. The service was fast. They have great authentic food and the ambiance was nice. One of the best gimbap places I've had in the bay. Tasted so fresh and they are huge! The rabboki with blood sausage was also delicious!

Take out order - 2 bulgogi kimbap and 1 spicy pork kimbap
    Vanessa N.

I've eaten at Roll House and gotten take out numerous times. It's a small hole in the wall type shop and it's usually busy when I stop by for dinner. The service is brisk and polite. Portions are generous. I've had their kimbap, tteokbokki, and soondae. I'm not the biggest soondae fan but I enjoyed eating it with the tteokbokki. I usually order the bulgogi and spicy pork kimbap (which isn't really spicy) which are stuffed with plentiful meat and vegetables. It's a comforting mixture of textures and flavors, I'm rarely disappointed by my order. I particularly like the kimchi here and wish more of it was given with takeout orders. I'm usually here for kimbap but would love to try their other dishes, the menu has a lot of variety. I always see people ordering the pork cutlet plate.

She goes above and beyond to make sure every visit is enjoyable and always checks on our table to make sure everything is perfect. The entire staff is friendly, the service is excellent, and the food never disappoints. Out of all the Korean BBQ spots in the area, this is the one I recommend the most. Service was good. food was delicious! the bulgogi was generous portions given the $$. The kal bi was delicious. We got the lettuce wrap (aka leaves) glad we got it because it made it feel healthier. banchan: came with: square little rice paper wraps (not as healthy as lettuce but something), kim chee, sprouts, marinated onions with peppers (spicy! but I'm a wimp, any spice is too much for me), jap chae I didn't like the self-order on tablet. (at least it wasn't order off phone, I really hate that) at other restaurants if you order enough, they "service you" free steamed egg. Here I had to buy it myself. negative, there was a dripping pipe on the floor, and we had to point it out for them to wipe it, but then it dripped more. was that water? or grease? who knows. we had to suggest they put a towel so I didn't have to stare at it creeping towards me all night. fun korean pop music in background. cheaper feeling ambiance. definitely coming again for the food and minimal line. didn't like that tip defaulted to 20% minimum (then 23%, 28%) but at least they calculate that pre-tax.

It was actually the perfect group to test it. One of us had marinated crab in Boston and loved it, another tried it in Busan and wasn't a fan, and I was a complete first timer. We ordered the Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab, Beef Short Rib Soup, and the summer special Hwe Naengmyeon (Spicy Cold Raw Fish Mixed Noodle). The restaurant is spacious, and seeing that most of the customers were Korean definitely gave us high expectations. Service was friendly and our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The raw crab came with a bowl of rice, quail egg, fish roe, roasted seaweed, seaweed salad, and pickled daikon. My friend mixed everything together for us like a pro. Soy marinade was well balanced, the crab had a soft, jelly-like texture and tasted really fresh, not gimmicky at all. My friend who didn't enjoy this dish in Korea actually ended up liking this version, and my other friend even said it was better than the one she had in Boston. As for me, I really enjoyed trying it for the first time. That said, it's definitely an acquired taste and probably not for everyone. If you're not ready to eat raw crab, I'd actually recommend trying the soy marinade with soft tofu or boiled eggs first because the sauce itself is delicious. The Beef Short Rib Soup came with tender meat, but the broth was just okay. Not bad, just not something I'd order again. The Hwe Naengmyeon, on the other hand, was really refreshing. It definitely had a spicy kick, the noodles were soft yet chewy, and the raw fish had such a unique texture that I honestly don't know how to describe it. Served cold with fresh veggies and half a boiled egg, it was perfect for a hot day. Also, banchan were delicious and free refill, our favorite was the Konjac noodle mayo salad and Gyeran Mari (Korean Egg Roll). Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try soy marinated raw crab, and I can definitely see myself ordering it again. Such a fun first experience, and I'll be back to explore more of the menu.

The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home.
