    matcha duo

Honestly wasn't that impressed by my experience here. It was a cute spot but not many parking options; I was just fortunately walking by and knew I've been wanting to try this place. Service was quick and the person who took my order was really nice! I liked the outdoor patio seating where you could peoplewatch and enjoy the vibes. The matcha itself just didn't really impress me. I still drank it but the quality of matcha was just okay and the drink was pretty milky and sweet. It's definitely more of a dessert drink so if you enjoy that it's great, but definitely not the most high quality matcha I've had.

Decided to give rok a try since I was in the area and heard it's thee new, trending matcha place in LA. Was super disappointed. Don't get me wrong- the place has a super hip LA vibe to it. The little patio area they had was full of people and it was super cute. But I had ordered our drinks for pick up. The staff was friendly, but when I saw the drinks I was immediately disappointed. The cup size was definitely smaller than what I normally get at other places. That strawberry matcha with Almond Milk was over $9 and what you can't see (the way the cup is tilted) are the big cubes of ice. Volume wise it was definitely on the smaller side and taste wise I was disappointed. To be fair, I go to a LOT of matcha shops so maybe that makes me pickier than most. But the drink was mid, parking was a pain... sorry but I won't be back anytime soon.

first time trying rok and it was such a small cozy establishment with very little seating on their patio. it was definitely more of a grab and go spot as they had their kiosk outside and you pick up your drink inside (i think you can order inside as well), but it wasn't too busy so we just did the kiosk. the drink came out quick and we really enjoyed it! i love the creaminess and thickness of their matcha, it also wasn't too sweet or watery and you can tell they use a good quality matcha.

The duo drinks are definitely the draw here, and they have some really creative options. The espresso was a little bitter for my taste, and unfortunately there wasn't a dairy-free option for the cream top. Service was friendly, and the café itself is very modern and clean. There's no indoor seating and only a very small amount of patio seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. Food-wise, it's mostly pastries and some very yummy-looking cakes, but as someone who's primarily gluten and dairy free, there just weren't a lot of options for me here.

I was in the area and wanted to get a refreshing drink. They have a large variety on their menu. It was hard to choose, but I ended up going with the blueberry matcha duo. The blueberry puree they use is yummy. It doesn't have an artificial blueberry taste. They made my drink really quickly. I can't wait to be back to try other drinks!

They meant to say Silver Lake. Just look at the street name.

So happy there's a Rok in the neighborhood. Parking can be difficult, but just have a little patience and you'll find a spot. There is sidewalk and patio seating. The menu is pretty straight forward with matcha and coffee options. Matcha is their specialty, but really anything on the menu is good. The matcha duo is my go-to! Welcome to Silver Lake Rok!!

I've always wanted to try rok's matcha as I've heard really good things about it. We got the strawberry matcha and the mango matcha latte. The matcha top was delicious and creamy and had the perfect balance. However, I do find the drink a little too sweet and the strawberry/ mango overpowered the matcha. If you have a sweet tooth, definitely get their fruit matcha. The strawberry one is a little more tart while the mango one is more sweet. Personally, if I were to come here again, I'd probably stick with the regular matcha latte. The line wasn't too crazy on a Sunday afternoon and we waited a good 5-10min for our drink. There's a couple of seats outside but overall the cafe is pretty small!

THE MATCHA IS SO GOOD!!! My friend and I ordered the Matcha Duo and the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha Duo. The cream top was super creamy and delicious. Matcha flavor for both drinks was definitely earthy and balanced, the flavors were able to shine thru without one overpowering the other. I really enjoyed my drink, it was super refreshing and creamy. Parking at this location is pretty easy, there is a parking lot around the corner and street parking as well. You order at a kiosk outside and then can wait inside for your drink to be called. Small outdoor seating for 3-5 people, but mainly a takeout spot, no seating indoors. There is a restroom inside for customers that was clean and well-maintained. I would come back here, I enjoyed my drink, there is easy parking, and it is overall a nice spot to grab a matcha with a friend or for a solo date!

This place has one of the most authentic matcha outside of Japan. The workers were also so helpful and nice despite the rush!

Loved this place, first time exploring this location but the second time having their Coconut Matcha. My wife had the strawberry one, and they are both killer! They only have one size but it is worth it. This location had no line, the Korea Town location had a 30+ minute wait last time. They were playing Wutang Clan for music, extra points, and they have two kiosks and the registers to order. Looked at their desserts and might try one next time; Basque Cheesecake and another small item I cannot remember.

Was in the area and finally able to try rok! The line wasn't too bad but it did move pretty slowly. It was a hot day so waiting was even more brutal, but definitely worth it. The interior was small and there was a small outdoor patio. I got the matcha duo while my cousin got the blueberry matcha. Both were so good!! The blueberry purée was sweet but not overpowering. The cream top for the duo was just the perfect amount of sweet. Would definitely come back

Glad Rok opened this new spot in Silver Lake right in my neighborhood! All of their matchas are unique and delicious, though they tend to be more sweet dessert drinks rather than traditional matcha. You will absolutely want to try the Mango Matcha. There are a few tables out front but no indoor seating.

The matcha from tok is super high quality and creamy. Their drinks have a quite a bit of ice, so I slowly savor the sips to stretch the bev experience. The blueberry matcha was quite sweet, but it was pretty hard to mix the drink. Limited seating outside and order from a kiosk.

Since I came here with my friends recently, I also tried the Yuzu Sparkling Matcha. To my surprise, you really get that authentic yuzu flavor, not artificial whatsoever. The drinks here are also not too sweet, just the right balance you want, but the flavors make you feel like you're having a little dessert in a cup. The shop itself is very cozy and comfortable.
