Years ago, these people installed the floor coverings for Envee builders in Lombard. They damaged the vinyl with a cut in the flooring about 2", when they came to do the repair, they cut a 4" square around the cut and put a piece of vinyl in that matched, except this made the problem worse. They should have replaced the whole section of flooring. The cut they made, which made it worse, caused more things to catch on it and looked worse than awful. Horrible pride of workmanship. Horrible. Never, never use these people. They are either clueless or do not care. Either way, never, never use them. read more

Rogers was hired by my GC to do hardwood kitchen floors. They laid the floor over an old unstable subfloor and left jagged edges on both transitions. When I complained it took about 5 months for them to come out and even take a look. When I spoke to Bryan on the phone he got defensive and defended the poor quality even before he saw it in person. Flooring contractors are a dime a dozen so don't let your GC hire them. Hire them direct and speak to the owner first. read more

OUR SITUATION Our living room & dining room carpet was beginning to show it's age. We decided to replace the carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring by Mohawk. We had gotten recommendations for three companies from several friends and called them for Rogers Flooring for one of our three estimates. Salesman Bryan was lovely to work with. He came out, took measurements and broke down the estimate the way we wanted, separating the living room/dining room estimate from an upstairs bedroom that we were "on the fence" about replacing the carpet in. GOOD UPDATES FROM SALESMAN BRYAN We decided to go with flooring all THREE of the rooms. Bryan gave us an estimated timeframe for materials (which have to be shipped here from out of state.) There was a 2 week delay in Mohawk's delivery and - to my delight - Bryan actually CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW! They have no control over production and shipment of materials but due to his experience, Bryan had given us a pretty accurate ballpark timeframe initially. And, I'm impressed that Rogers Flooring was so proactive in their communication with us in regards to shipping. INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME Brian called to let us know that the materials had shipped and set up an install date. The install time was to be between 8:00-9:00 am on Monday, September 19, 2022. He estimated about 2 days for the install. The two installers arrived close to 8 am, with one actually arriving early but waiting in his car. I was super impressed that they were ON TIME!!! GREAT COMMUNICATION WITH INSTALLERS The installers were professional and highly skilled. They had all the carpeting removed by morning and began installing the flooring. The upstairs bedroom flooring was complete that day and most of the living room/dining room was complete, as well. They told us they planned on installing the trim and doing the "detail work" the next day. I was impressed with their communication with us as they were working. Several times they showed us things and clearly explained what they were doing. THE INSTALLERS CLEANED UP Each day when the installers completed their work, they were very careful to sweep and vacuum up all the debris. They left the house as neat as a pin. I was impressed. Also, we have a couple of cats so I was grateful everything was safe for my pets. THE INSTALLERS WORE MASKS AT MY REQUEST I provided N95 masks for the two installers and asked them to wear them while they were working inside our house. Obviously, if they are outside sawing the mask could be removed. My husband had just recovered from covid four weeks prior, but I have never had it. (I just wanted EVERYONE to be safe doing the install.) They were super polite with my mask request and diligently wore them the entire time they were working. To be fair, my husband and I ALSO wore our masks of respect to the installers. But, I greatly appreciated the fact that they willingly wore them and were so nice about it. GREAT WORK Between the installers attention to detail and the quality of the product, the work is STUNNING upon completion. The estimate was clear, price was fair, the work was outstanding and the entire experience was pleasant. I highly recommend Rogers Flooring. read more

If you don't want to read my long review, all you need to know is avoid working with Henry. He was the absolute worst and made almost our entire experience with Rogers Flooring awful. I am struggling to give this review even 3 stars, specifically because of Henry. If it wasn't for the good work that the contractors did with our flooring, I would be giving the lowest rating possible. Let me start from the beginning. We called Rogers Flooring upon recommendation from another company to have the carpet in our dining room ripped up and replaced with tile. We were asked to bring in a sample of our original tile so they could match it and they would call us to come for an in home quote. Weeks went by and we never heard back, so we called again and we were told Henry would be working with us and he would call us back. When he finally did, he told us our original tile wasn't made anymore and we were asked to come in to pick out a new tile. We went in with our 1.5 year old and waited around for 45 minutes before Henry finally helped us (he was helping another couple, but why ask us to come in if you aren't available?) We finally agreed on a tile, pattern and the work to be done, paid our deposit and Henry said they would call us in a week or so to schedule us. By the time we left, we had spent about 2 hours in the store and our son was miserable. Weeks go by again and we don't hear anything. Anytime we called, Henry wasn't in. Finally after 3+ weeks he called to schedule the work. I called Rogers Flooring back again a couple days later to get an itemized invoice of the work we were having done. Again, I was told Henry wasn't in but he would email me that Thursday. I never got an email. Henry asked us to bring in a piece of our trim so they could match the stain. Remember, we had carpet in this room, so we did not have quarter round or "shoe" in this room, which Henry would have known if he had come in person like we were originally told. So in an attempt to get a piece of trim off the wall, we cracked it in the process. No biggie, they were replacing our trim anyway right? On Wednesday, the first contractors came and spent a few hours ripping up the carpet, cleaning up the floorboard of any staples and laying down hard board. The trim was still on the base of the walls, which I thought would have been taken off during this step. I called Rogers Flooring and was surprised that Henry actually called me back the same day. Turns out they were not planning to replace the trim, only the "shoe" (aka quarter round, which again, we did not originally have in this room because we had carpet). Not sure how we were expected to bring in a piece of trim to stain match if they were not planning to replace it in the first place. Henry asked me to send photos of the trim style along with measurements and he would order a new piece (but of course this was going to be charged to us now). On Thursday, the tile guy came and told me he wasn't able to do the original pattern we had agreed upon (with a mosaic at each entry point to help blend the two different tiles) due to how far in the original tile came into the entryway. This would have been discovered had Henry come for an in person quote. Ok fine we agreed to lay out the larger tile in the original pattern without the mosaic and Henry told us he would rework our quote so that some money would be taken off our final price since less tile and less work was going into our project. On Friday the grouter came and finished the tile. He did not bring any trim and wasn't aware of what I was talking about. We called again and asked for the updated quote. We were told Henry would call us back. We never got a call. A week goes by and we don't hear anything about the trim or the final price. The following week Bryan calls us to schedule the trim guy to come measure and tells us we owe our remaining balance (from the original quote). We say this is wrong because the original work wasn't done and that Henry was supposed to give us a new price. He says Henry will call us. Finally the trim guys come, measure and leave. They came back the next day to install and Henry immediately called to get the final balance paid... which was... a whopping $15 less than our original quote. He only removed the cost of the actual mosaic that wasn't used, didn't take off any money for the labor of installing the mosaic, and then added $30 for the piece of trim (that wouldn't have been broken in the first place had he come to our home). Also, $30 for a single piece of trim? It's gotta be made of gold right? In the end, all Henry had to say was "guess I should have come out to do that in person quote." ‍ Moral of the story is, DO NOT WORK WITH HENRY. read more

I would never recommend this company. Extremely rude owner/businessman. They came 5x to fix the carpet job that they did and still awful. They cut corners, the install is a mess. The owner came and screamed at me in my own home. Just awful customer service and install. read more

I had, had Roger's Flooring replace carpet with hardwood floors years ago so I called them first for a quote and didn't end up calling anyone else after meeting Greg. He was so congenial, honest and helpful. He mentioned things I didn't even think of regarding the process and he also kept me informed along the way. Brian was extremely helpful as well by letting me know when the tile guys were arriving daily and he even came to inspect the job to ensure things were running smoothly. I normally wouldn't leave a review for a place like this that I haven't actually bought anything from, but I had a rather negative experience here, please hear me out... I came in the store, hoping to purchase flooring for my basement, 3 bathrooms, an entry way, kitchen, and also a backsplash if possible. I'd never been here before but driven passed often and wanted to check it out. I walked in and although there was clearly 2 people working, I was never greeted. I was never told I would be helped shortly or even spoken to. The one person was helping a couple so I walked around picking what I liked for each space of my home. I was passed by a woman (worker) who looked me up and down, walked passed me into the back without one word of welcome or anything. Not even a smile. She honestly looked annoyed by my presence. I continued to look around picking flooring I liked. After more than 15 mins of standing in one place waiting (I'd already picked my flooring out) for some one to address me, I left. I don't care if this sounds petty to some people but I've remodeled several homes and dealt with several flooring places and I truly believe that first impressions speak volumes about a business and future dealings with them. Custome service and care is obviously not a priority or I'd at least have be spoken to and asked to wait instead of glared at and looked up and down. I find this rude. My business will be taken else where. read more

I had carpet installed in July of 2019 and they came up short on carpet due to wrong mrasurement. Had to wait two weeks for the rest of the carpet. Also scratched the travertine floor in the bathroom while sliding a door, they had to take off for installation and stored in the bathroom, across the floor. I called immediately and took pictures. The installer saw it when he came back to install rest of the carpet. Brian, from the store, came out and tried to fix it. Didn't work. Had someone come out and it was made worse by the machine he used. Left circular spots and didn't repair the scratches (one is a bit deep). Brian suggested replacing the files which was not recommended by two tile people because grout would not match, which he insisted it would match. This back and forth was going on for months. I never heard from Brian unless I called him. I called him in July of 2020 (a year after the install) asking again when would the floor be fixed. He said he would call back after he looked at the schedule. NEVER heard back. I have worked in the contract furniture business and I know when a sales person is giving the run around/brushoff. He did NOT want to bother with the scratches on the floor. His customer service is AWFUL!!! And so is his attitude. I would not recommend that store at all. Once the sale is done they don't care. I think a year to repair damage his installers caused is too much. read more

Sanded and finished wood floors. Final result was fine, but sloppy workmen had to be called back to repair errors. Scratched other floors with their equipment. Sloppy job on plastic sheeting between stairway and living room resulted in sawdust all over the house. Broke tape sealing off another room, so it also got full of sawdust. We hired Roger's Flooring to put in our wood floors. Beware of their salesman - they do a good job in talking up their experience and price but they will tag in extra charges. They tell you sweetly, we do not know what is under your carpet so that would be extra but then charge as they like and do not even give you detailed breakdown of charges! Everyone we talked to there for getting a detailed bill was very very rude! Even the guy who actually came to put down the wood floors said that it is a very badly managed company and they will rob you. I would suggest going elsewhere for your wood and carpeting needs then Roger's Flooring! read more

I went to this flooring store because they carry Shaw products, and I was looking to do repairs on an old floor that had damage. I brought in an old sample (new from a remnant box) to see if it would snap together with their newer Shaw products. I was happy to see it snapped together to the floor sample, which was exactly what I was looking for. When the product arrived , although my old flooring snapped together in the store, it did not snap together with the product that was shipped. When this was brought up to Henry, he replied that it was probably my old flooring that had warped and not allowed the fit. This was a "special order", and would not be eligible for a refund, Even though it looks like all orders are "special orders", and just a creative way to say "no refunds". When I told him this was used on new flooring, from a remnant box, he was not appreciative of the feedback, and acted skeptical. So now all of this flooring I ordered will not fit with my old floor, and I needed to order transition strips to use between the 2 different flooring types. I left a message on Henry's voice mail to say that I now needed to order 4 transition strips to finish this job, There was no follow up call to my voicemail left, but I called him to make sure the order was placed. He said he only ordered one, and then corrected the order to 4. When I called back for an ETA on the shipping, he said it had never been ordered because there was no credit card left for the deposit(which I would of been happy to have supplied, and already was with the first order). The person hired to do the installation was delayed 2 different times. #1 because the flooring didn't snap together and #2 because the transition strips were ordered/not ordered. Yes, people make mistakes, but the attitude of dismissal and non caring afterwords was the reason for the review. read more
