Last week Maurice at Elegant Touch helped us tremendously with a fine flooring job. Highly…read morerecommended. Reasons being below: A. He's flexible and may fit into urgent jobs. 2 weeks ago, we had an 4-week-ahead-scheduled contractor came took a quick look, promised to send a quote, but then vanished without returning calls/texts. So we are panicking because we had a tight schedule: old tenant moving out on Sunday, cleaning lady come on Wednesday and new tenant moving in on Thursday --- only 2 day slots opened to do the work. And we only have a few days left to find another guy! Luckily Maurice responded us and he has Monday open and would do the work for us. B. He's responsive and always return call/text within a few hours. And he always arrived early on the site. C. He plans ahead with details in mind: So the work is to rip off the old carpet in a small bedroom, and sand & finish the flooring underneath. When Maurice came check it out the old tenant's furniture are still everywhere and he managed to rip open two corners and check on the condition of the underneath flooring. It's not good but still do-able. He also suggested come again check thoroughly on the night before the work, when tenant clear out. I'm so glad he did that, because then he checked every square inches under the carpet, and we found out there is an old water-heater pipe we need to cut and fix the floor. Also he got time to bring in the gears and can start earlier on Monday. Because our new tenant is coming in soon, he also suggest using Syntecko which varnish faster, instead of polyurethane. Later when the tenant came she was satisfied with the quality and felt smell was not strong as she thought. D. He does good work. The pictures attached speaks for itself.

Maurice was professional, easy to communicate by text and always available for questions. We couldn't decide on the stain color so he sanded and stained samples several times until we got the color just right. We recommended 4 or 5 contenders, described the look we're going for, and ended up choosing a stain Maurice suggested that we had not even considered. He stayed on budget and completed the job under a tight deadline. The quality of his work is unparalleled and we are so thrilled with our new home!

Igor's team was fantastic from beginning to end--I had originally contacted them through email, and they called back almost immediately to discuss materials, size of room, and what we were looking for. Igor then visited two days later to do a full measure of the room and lugged in (literally) 10 pounds of different flooring samples for us to choose from. After we chose the material, he had a quote to us within 24 hours and an appointment set up shortly after. The team during installation was great as well--they were polite, prompt, and extremely efficient. They took up all my old floor and carpet and laid down the flooring quickly, moving my furniture for me and keeping any dust to a bare minimum. They made sure to clean up at the end of the day (the project took 2.5 days) and swept up dust nightly. We had a small issue with the wrong material being delivered, and Igor was able to resolve that immediately, personally driving out the next day just to install some edging on the top of the stairs. The installation took him just under 30 minutes, and he drove out over an hour just to do that for us. Overall, they were great and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone for their future flooring needs.

A couple small issues during the installation did occur. Ended up realizing that during the measurement phase, some errors did happen, and we were short a couple of cabinets, but because I ordered the stock cabinets, they were able to send over the extras needed the next day. T2 was very responsive to the issues and everything was fixed quickly, did NOT cause delay to the project time. The installation guys were expeditious but like all construction/remodeling work, little nicks will happen here or there, nothing that bothered me, but if you are very meticulous, then I recommend you stay around and supervise the installation closely. If you are not too OCD, then just know that the installation goes smoothly, the installers are experienced and will be honest about any issues that come up and offer options to bypass or fix it. They were also very good in that I later noticed some cosmetic flaws that I did want fixed, they did send out someone to fix up. I would recommend this company for people looking for a competitive pricing on quality cabinets, they are a good company who are willing to respond to feedback and in my experience, they were accommodating and good to work with.

The owner, Michael, called me back promptly and we scheduled a time for him to visit my condo in the early evening the next day. One or two days after our meeting I received a proposal for the work via e-mail. I felt that the pricing was reasonable and straight forward. It included basic repair of wall cracks and nail holes, two coats of Benjamin Moore Paint, and we were allowed to keep any leftover paint. The excellent customer service won me over. Michael was professional, communicative and always arrived exactly as scheduled (practically to the minute). They fit me in their schedule roughly two weeks after my initial quote. They started work around 7:30am and communicated with me throughout the day as needed over the phone. I was amazed that they were finished painting by the time I returned from work. Moreover, everything was completed to a high quality! I would definitely use Emerald again.

The house looks brand new. Thank you Mike the owner and Jim and Mike the painters. Great job!
