The job they did at our house is outstanding. We had windows painted on the outside (and they look brand new again). We had the living room, dining room and hall painted. Not only did they do a beautiful job but darn we can't see any of the cracks they fixed no matter how hard we look. In the bathroom they removed 50 year old wallpaper, patched three areas that the electricians had left open, caulked around the sink - all the things that needed to be done that I in a million years would never do or I would really mess up. We sourced quotes from three different companies; Emerald was in line with the others price-wise, but by far the most confidence-inspiring through the whole getting-acquainted process. Some outfits you can rule out just by how they respond to emails, you know? Not Emerald. Michael was very flexible, responsive, and clear in terms of setting up meeting times and discussing options. He did not hesitate to commit to our timeline, which some of the other companies hemmed and hawed about. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the work. However, my wife and I biffed the color choice in one of the rooms, so we wanted a redo on short notice since we were about to move into the house. Michael came over on a Sunday afternoon within a couple of hours of returning from out of town. He gave us some great advice on how to make a better choice--not advocating one color over another, but rather providing some tips and techniques to help us to reach the right decision for ourselves. We gave him our final choice over email on Sunday evening, and the work was done by Monday afternoon. We were so grateful and impressed. I can't recommend Emerald enough. I am very particular about who I allow to work on my home. I saw the wonderful reviews Emerald had on Yelp and messaged them for a quote. The owner, Michael, called me back promptly and we scheduled a time for him to visit my condo in the early evening the next day. One or two days after our meeting I received a proposal for the work via e-mail. I felt that the pricing was reasonable and straight forward. It included basic repair of wall cracks and nail holes, two coats of Benjamin Moore Paint, and we were allowed to keep any leftover paint. The excellent customer service won me over. Michael was professional, communicative and always arrived exactly as scheduled (practically to the minute). They fit me in their schedule roughly two weeks after my initial quote. They started work around 7:30am and communicated with me throughout the day as needed over the phone. I was amazed that they were finished painting by the time I returned from work. I signed up for Yelp specifically for this-to call out when good work deserves it. Michael and this company, esp. Marko, is awesome. After finally getting the roof fixed properly on my condo bldg, it was time to repair the water damage for my top floor unit. It was BAD. Rot and mold had set in on parts of my walls, and I had so many bulges as well. Marko was very considerate in covering my furniture and floors to prevent as much dust as possible, and did the repairs RIGHT. (I had my walls repaired once before by a different company and it was such a crappy, rushed job. ) He cleaned up so nicely, and even matched the paint color perfectly afterwards, bledning it into a 12 yr old existing paint job. I contacted Emerald Decorating just before Thanksgiving. I was remodeling an addition and needed some painting done in the room before other work could be completed. Mike promptly returned my call. We decided give the addition one coat of paint and paint the trim in the addition before Christmas. I was also going to give the first floor and second floor of our house a new coat of paint and patch any areas that needed work. To say I'm a "particular" person about the work I have done is putting it nicely. I had Mike install a wallpaper mural that was special ordered from Europe. While trying to be laid back about it by hiring the contractor I felt most comfortable with I was actually pretty nervous. The finish product is stunning!!!! Not a flaw to be found. We used Emerald Decorating Company to paint the interior of our home as well as repair some water damage walls. Mike is very good at communicating and telling you what needs to be done. Mike is a straight forward guy. You know what you are going to spend and what needs to be done to yor home before he starts to work. He also will not try to upsale and spend extra money. An example of this is with his estimate it wold take 2 coats on the kitchen ceiling. When he started to work on the ceiling he decided it only needed 1 coat and didn't need me to pay for the extra coat of paint. He and his partner David showed up each morning at the time they said they would. They worked in a fast, professional, and effective manner. We are very happy with how the 3 rooms they painted and repaired in our house look now. They were done in less than a week which I coldn't believe.
