The job they did at our house is outstanding. We had windows painted on the outside (and they look brand new again). We had the living room, dining room and hall painted. Not only did they do a beautiful job but darn we can't see any of the cracks they fixed no matter how hard we look. In the bathroom they removed 50 year old wallpaper, patched three areas that the electricians had left open, caulked around the sink - all the things that needed to be done that I in a million years would never do or I would really mess up. Lake cook has continuously blamed the recent heavy rains and architects design of the house as being the issue. We recently had Jose from Solo Construction & Landscaping out to do two projects with us. We have…read morea lot of plans for the outside of our home, but need to do things in phases. Jose was very accommodating. Our first project was a 15' round patio/fire pit. We entertain a lot so our old hole in the ground just wasn't cutting it anymore. Jose and his crew showed up promptly when they said they would and completed the work quickly; I think in a matter of three full days. They regraded part of the yard and even seeded for grass. It honestly turned out awesome and we are so happy with it. Our second project was a small patio to the side of my home, meant to house our grill. I started the work myself by digging the hole and there it sat for it nearly two year unfinished... Unfortunately work obligations kept me from completing it, and I lost motivation. After having Jose out for the first project I knew I had to get him back to help me finish this one too. Solo's quote was extremely competitive; I think because he a 'smaller' local contractor. He's meticulous and his work shows he really cares about the outcome. I trusted Jose and It paid off. They went above and beyond, even disposing of some old concrete we were desperate to get rid of, free of charge. Solo Construction & Landscaping will be our go to for any additional work we have in the future and we will recommend Jose and his crew until any day.

We signed with Simple Flooring in February of this year, and I wish that I could give this company…read more5 stars, but, unfortunately, my experience with them only continued to go downhill. I'll start by saying that the quote we recieved was reasonable, and the women in the office (Michelle & Sandra) were very helpful and quick to respond. I appreciated their communication. Additionally, the technician who actually installed the flooring (John) was very polite, clean, and efficient. We were very pleased with his professionalism and work. However, it was the interactions with the owner (Igor) that were unfortunate. Our flooring project was for a small bathroom and short hallway, and I was told it would only take one day to complete. So, I was surprised when the technician said they would have to come back to do the transitions and Igor would call me later that day to schedule. No call from Igor, so three days later I had to follow up. A one day project turned into a three week project, and one that left us continuously waiting for the owner to show up to finish the job, each time arriving much later than promised. Completely not showing up on a Saturday afternoon and then arriving 45-60 minutes late for additional appointments, without any attempt to communicate, sends a message that your client's time is not valued or respected. Then, when the transitions were finally installed three weeks later, the visit felt rushed and was evident by the fact that one of the doors did not even close all the way over the transition. This seems like one of the first things that should be checked before leaving a job site. Once again I had to contact the owner to come back to correct the issue, and once again, waited for his late arrival the following day to finally finish the project. We are happy with the final outcome as most of the work was completed by John, but the frustration stemming from the interactions with the owner and constant need for follow-up on my end do not allow me to give this company a stellar review.
