We've been using McMaster for both indoor and outdoor painting projects since 2016. They've always been my professional, timely, and responsive. Joe and his team just wrapped up a job at our house and they were great! Already planning our next painting project. read more

I hired McMaster to stain my deck. Their pricing was competitive and they laid out how they work. Power wash, sand, stain. It would be done over a few days (weather permitting). At first I wanted more communication. I paid my deposit and time was going by without a word (due to weather - not much to report or schedule) However, they took my comment seriously and Nicky kept me informed all along the way. The power wash alone made my deck look great. They moved everything off the deck. Within a week it was sanded and stained. Again they moved everything off and did a great job. I would use them again. Great company! read more

Kevin was Great! Efficient and McMaster was able to schedule prior to holiday which was greatly appreciated. The guys were efficient and very clean, paint looks great. read more

Kevin was super responsive and flexible. We initially requested a quote to paint three bedrooms and exposed ductwork. As we were coming up on the appointment, Kevin came over to provide a second quote for the hallways and living room/kitchen ceilings/trim. The overall cost was very reasonable. Nikki set up the appointment/payment and was great to communicate with. The crew was also great, including the two foreman's, Refugio and Frank. They were friendly, clean and efficient. Most importantly, the paint was superb. Zero streaks. We have received unsolicited compliments from other contractors on the overall quality. The project was scheduled for four to five days, but was completed in three. We can't say enough about the experience. We will definitely work with Kevin and his team again. - B read more

I hired McMaster for a few different drywall and painting projects around my house. Kevin was great at scoping out different scenarios and providing options for the work. The scheduling team was super easy to work with and very responsive. Luis and Bryan did a great job and I would highly recommend them. They were always on time, very professional and friendly, and their drywall repair and painting shows they are true experts at what they do. Wow ok so this is great. Let's start from the beginning and flow through to what just transpired which I feel is completely unprofessional. I put out a request for a quote only to this company because their reviews were so great. I heard back from the owner here on yelp and then got a call the next day. I was on a work call so wasn't able to answer but called back as they requested and left a message to schedule an on-site consultation. I never heard back. So about a week and a half to two weeks later, I sent another message here through yelp saying I was still waiting for a call back. The owner replied and said someone would call me on next week because they're off for the weekend. Came across as kind of smart *ss and I started to let him know that I had already been waiting a week and a half if not longer but I just let it go. I got a call on Monday and although I was on a work call, I put that call on hold to make sure I could get this consult scheduled. That brings us to today. My appointment was at 10am. I get a call from someone named Nikki at 9:55am asking to confirm my address. While I'm on with her, my doorman calls to let me know they're in the lobby and I tell him great let him on up. I wait and wait and no one comes. Then I notice that I have a missed call. And see that it says Kevin which is the owners name. So I call him back and he proceeds to tell me he will not work in this building. That's all he says. So I ask why and he says after the exchange he had with the doorman, he won't work in this building. So I ask what happened. He says they were getting along fine and he had handed over his car key (as is required when someone parks in front of the building. There is a sign posted that says 20 minute parking.) He said as he was walking away to come up, the doorman asked how long he would be. He says he responded, not long and the doorman said well not long isn't good enough and it "escalated from there". He then starts to raise his voice at ME and starts talking about how he has been in business for 20 years and these doormen treat him horribly and he isn't going to take it anymore and YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. So, I'm just holding the phone in shock because I'm thinking ok #1, there is a sign that says 20 minutes. Why not just say to him it will be 15 -20 minutes instead of saying "not long". #2, why are you raising your voice at me? #3 why not just come up and tell the person who can actually do something about it what happened instead of taking your "20 years" of mistreatment out on me? But I just said to him, "Thank you for letting me know and I'm sorry that happened." Before he hung up in my face. Dude really???? Listen, I have never NEVER had an issue with any of the doorpersons in this building. NEVER. And any other condo owner here, any visitor, any contractor, ANYONE will tell you the same. These guys are top notch. So, IF there was such an exchange, judging from the somewhat questionable service I experienced from this company, I'm going to have to say it may have been provoked. But because I want to know what actually happened, I'm having the building manager investigate. If the doorman did do something wrong, that behavior must be corrected and if it were any other building, I would agree with Kevin but not here and not these guys. Edit: His response proves my point. The problem is his ego is hurting after what he perceives to be 20 years of mistreatment by a bunch of OTHER people. They didn't return my call. They didn't get the address right. (And you know what, even in his response, he can't even spell my NAME right when it's right there on my profile. LMAO.) Now he says the door person was aggressive from the beginning but before he said they were getting along just great. Whatever the case may be, disappointed that the service I have received as been subpar to say the least but hopeful that others will have the great experience that led me to seek out their service in the first place. read more

McMaster Painting and Decorating - And here is the message I got from the owner AFTER he responded to my review. Unbelievable. - Painters Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Our entire experience from quote to project completion was a breeze. Joe & his crew did an outstanding job. We are thrilled with the end result. Its incredible how much a cleanly painted iron fence really enhances your homes curb appeal. read more

Wonderful working with Kevin, Nikki, and their crew. The entire process - from getting a quote to scheduling the work, communications and payment was easy, quick, and professional. Their crew (Sergio etc) was super courteous, professional, detail minded, and prompt. Did a wonderful job on patching up our walls, protecting our floors, and leaving everything in prime shape. Highly recommend them for any paint job, large and small. Will use them again for any paint project. read more

From the initial quote to the final project execution, they were professionals all the way through. We had them repair drywall, paint our basement and re-install baseboards after water damage. Very organized, detailed and overall great experience. read more

Probably the best review that you can give for a company is to be a repeat customer. That is just what our condo association did when we needed our deck power washed, stained and sealed this year after having McMaster perform that service a few years ago. The McMaster Crew did another amazing job. So, an even better review of the quality of workmanship would be that I contracted McMaster to paint the interior of my unit. Again, another wonderful job. From the ease of scheduling and communication to the promptness and professionalism of the crew, McMaster is a stellar company to work with in executing a project. And while all that is a great part of working with a business, what really matters is the end result...and I could not be happier with how beautiful my unit looks. I highly recommend McMaster. read more

Kevin and his crew Sergio, Juan and Pablo were wonderful. I had a big project! They painted my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo and my living room has a 19 foot ceiling. My exterior wall had moisture. The whole wall had to be replaced. They as well as the carpenters Kevin hired did an amazing job! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs painting or has moisture issues! Everyone was so courteous and they did a great clean up job! AND, it was a fair and reasonable price. I will use them again for my next residence. read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience with McMaster Painting. From the original consult to completion of the project the communication and work was excellent. Our walls needed a fair amount of repair due to settling and general wear and tear. They now look like new. The crew was so nice, responsive and the work quality wonderful. Thank you. I would happily recommend McMaster to anyone. read more

Very fair price. Painters showed up on time, did great work, and cleaned up after finishing the project. I'd strongly recommend McMaster painting. read more

After sending out several requests for a quote, Nikki was the fastest to respond. We texted back and forth to assess (only needed pictures) and schedule. Sergio and team were very professional and made quality repairs to my ceiling (fixing all the cracks). They took their time and did it right. The job took a day longer than initially expected, but they stuck by their initial quote and contract. Overall it was a painless process and I'm glad I went with a professional. read more

They did a great job once they started. They worked every day until completion. Very happy with them.

They painted a room in our house that was wall to ceiling wood paneling, so not the most straightforward job and lots of prep work involved. They were incredibly responsive when setting everything up and the whole job went incredibly smoothly. I'm so happy with the results and will definitely be using them for future painting needs! read more

The whole process with McMaster was easy. They gave a fair quote and did an excellent job. The crew that came to paint did not rush through the job. They fixed anything I pointed out and we're good at communicating what they planned on tacking for the day. We had several areas of trim touched up throughout the house. Would definitely hire them again for any paint needs. read more

From beginning to end, McMaster was on time and delivered outstanding professional service. No detail was left out in preparing our condo for a move in. Most impressive was the painting of the kitchen cabinets from cherrywood to white. A lot of work involved in preparation but the final product was spectacular. Would I recommend McMaster? ... you bet I would. Remember, you get what you pay for and while a little more expensive the end results are worth every penny. read more

We've worked with McMaster twice now - once at our condo in the city, and now at our house in the burbs. The experience with the team has been great, start to finish. Nikki and Kevin are quick to respond, provide detailed quotes, ask smart questions and are super patient as I take some time to make decisions. The painting teams are wonderful - Cuco is the best, he led the group for both jobs. They dedicate significant time to diligent prep to protect our space from paint drops and the inevitable dust. They are perfectionists in both spray and roller painting. Finally, they are super tidy - they cleaned up every night so we could still live at home the whole week they worked the job. Thank you guys! read more

Both Kevin and Nikki have been responsive and insightful from quote request to project completion. The team of painters that did the work at Raven Theatre were always early, respected our facility , and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. Not only did they complete all the painting, but their contract also includes any necessary patching and surface repair that might be necessary before the paint goes on. This created not only a more professional finished product, but definitely made our walls and seat decks more durable, ensuring that they will look great for as long as possible. The work the McMaster team did was great, and when I realized a day after they finished that there was a spot that need to be touched up, they were happy to come back the next business day to make sure it was taken care of quickly. Overall, I had a wonderful experience working with McMaster Painting and I would do so again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them. read more

Really happy with the painting we had done! They were on time, communicated well, and left the place clean.

The team came round and completed my attempt of patching my basement ceiling, and then painting the entire open plan basement ceiling. They arrived promptly, and got straight to work. We had absolutely the best experience with McMaster Painting and Decorating! Our condo board hired them to paint the hallway of our building, and we hired them to paint our entire 3-bedroom unit. We were getting ready to put our place on the market, and our agent thought a fresh coat of paint would help the place sell. From our first contact with them, every single person we dealt with was kind, courteous, and professional. Roberto, who led the team painting our unit was absolutely fantastic! Besides being just the nicest guy, he was so thorough and helpful, checking in with us at every stage to make sure we were happy with their work. Mark, who led the team painting the hallway was also an absolute pleasure to work with (he's also hilarious), and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Well, our place sold RIGHT AWAY, and we're getting ready to move into our new house. Amidst all of the commotion of buying a new home, I neglected to write a review for this wonderful company. And why did I FINALLY get around to writing one? Because we're hiring McMaster to paint our new place! read more
