Ray and his team put in a lot of overtime to finish my job by my requested deadline--ahead of schedule actually. And they did a beautiful job. Thanks Ray! I may be sending some business your way soon. read more

Ray's Quality Painting - Painters Near Me

So I'm 8 months pregnant and bit off a little more than I could chew with starting to paint both of my bathrooms in the condo. I contacted Ray on a Sunday via Yelp and to my surprise, he replied within the hour and we made a plan to touch base on Monday. I told him what I needed, sent photos of the space, and he offered to have one of his team (David) come out to do the job that same week on Thursday! I couldn't believe the turn around. He offered a fair and very reasonable price for the entire job. Ray and David were prompt at the time they said they'd arrive. Ray pointed out yellowing in one of the bathroom ceilings and since I had the ceiling paint in the condo already, he offered to add this to the job without extra charge. David brought one other team member with him and they were exceptional. Very professional, super friendly, and clearly took significant pride in their work. David checked in with us periodically to make sure that everything was exactly to our specifications. He was even done an hour early! Ray came back at the end to make sure everything was good to go. I am so grateful for Ray and his team because now I can keep prepping for baby's arrival and not worry about these half finished bathrooms. Even for small projects like mine, I highly recommend Ray and his team! read more

Second time I used Ray and his team. Happy and pleased as the first time. Project scope was bathroom, closets and a hallway. Had to do a fair amount of dry wall work to make up for so-so work from a contractor. Done to perfection. Highly recommend Ray & crew. read more

We hired Ray to patch to patch a hole in our closet ceiling/wall and repair a botched tape/drywall job in our master bedroom, which also required painting the bedroom ceiling. He showed up right on time on a Saturday morning to give us an estimate. He clearly explained what the job would entail and what the cost would be. On the day of the job, Ray and his crew -- Diego and Oscar -- again showed up on time (actually 10 minutes early) to do the work. Diego and Oscar were true professionals. Work quality was excellent. Ray was great to work with and I would hire him again without hesitation. And he's got an awesome dog, Bruno! read more

Ray, Oscar and Diego did such a fantastic job! We had almost entire house painted, including kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, bookcases, etc. Over the course of the project they were professional and accommodating of our needs, in regard to having the various parts of our home accessible while they were working on the project. Ray collaborated with us on ideas and possible looks we wanted. Thanks guys! We love the new clean look of our house! read more

I was referred to Ray and I am so happy we hired him and his team!! We have single family home that needed painting. Immediately, I knew Ray would be great due to his attention to detail. He was very accurate with his quote as well as with timing of the project. The team of painters were always on time and cleaned up every night- almost as if they were ever there! It took 1 week to paint our ceilings and walls on 2 floors. They also fixed a bad paint job (that I tried to do DIY w/ charcoal colored paint) and it looks flawless. We are so very happy with the finished work and would happily hire Ray and his team again. read more

Amazing!! Just amazing! We had some major issues and they came and fixed patched and repainted our house beautifully! We came home to a house cleaner than when we left and they even helped me carry my kids and belongings to the car! Great group and their work is phenomenal and we have used many many painters over the years!! Highly recommend! read more

Ray's team was simply the best. We had to get an entire interior painting job done in a short amount of time and his crew delivered. Not only was the communication steady throughout the entire process, the expertise and craftsmanship was superb! All in all, I couldn't recommend Ray and his team more. read more

Ray and his team did an awesome job repainting my entire condo, including ceilings. And at a very reasonable price. They even patched an area that was bubbling over my shower. They showed up on time (early!), and they finished when they said they would. I would not hesitate to recommend Ray! read more

It's been 2 weeks since Ray and his team repainted our entire home (walls, trim, ceilings, closets) and we have yet to find a single mistake. Our home has been completely transformed and we feel so incredibly fortunate to have found Ray. Not only do Ray and his dedicated team create amazing, quality results, but the way they work is highly methodical, efficient, and communicative. They went above and beyond with the scope of work repairing everything, re-doing paint lines with difficult parts of the ceilings, and even advising on a paint color. Ray is a perfectionist and it shows! Not to mention the house was completely clean when they finished. I had an extremely tight timeline and Ray met the deadline with grace. Each day, Ray was highly communicative with progress updates and questions/recommendations for handling various situations. Nothing was a surprise in the process because I was briefed at all times. If you are still searching for a painter, stop here. You've found your person. read more

Ray and his team painted my whole condo (walls, ceiling, baseboards and trim) and I'm super happy with the results! They were very professional, worked super efficiently and left everything spotless, no mess at all. Ray even followed up with me the day after, to make sure I was happy with the results once I had time to really look at every thing. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for great quality painting work and a great experience. read more

We hired Ray to paint the ceilings and do some patching in our condo. We lost steam doing the painting ourselves, and had never done ceilings before, so we decided to inject some money into the economy rather than potentially screwing it up ourselves. Ray was pretty easy to work with in setting up a walkthrough for an estimate, had a great price, and was easy to schedule for a date that worked for us. On the day of the work, Ray and his team were on time, he had a full crew, and he was sure to reiterate the scope of work to me and his guys. That was appreciated so I didn't have to worry they were going to paint the entire house lime green or something. He communicated via text message with my wife and sent pictures to show progress and as assurance that our furniture and everything was protected. I think he understands people's general concerns about having contractors in their home and knows how to allay those worries. I wasn't worried, as we have nothing of value, except the Basquiat we have in our bedroom. They finished quickly and the work was really well done. Their edge work helped undo a decade of shoddy wall painting by us. read more

Ray and his team are amazing! He is super responsive, communicates all the details, is thorough, friendly and really cares. Oscar and Diego did a superb job that was top notch quality. They were very detailed, on time, thorough and cleaned up everything. I can't recommend them enough. Well worth the money and couldn't be happier. Will definitely use them any time I need painting done. read more

Ray and his crew are awesome. They did some painting for us about 2 months ago and we were blown away by their speed, quality and professionalism. It was a 4 day project and they covered everything fresh each day, cleaned up completely at the end of each day so I didn't feel like we were living in a construction zone. Next day they put up fresh paper and get back to it. The guys do an amazing job and you barely notice them while they're working. We just had some water damage so we had Ray and his crew come back out, fix some damage and paint some new areas. I figured they'd be here all day but they were able to get it done in half the time I expected. I would 110% percent recommend these guys to anyone. We will be having them back to paint the remaining rooms when we're ready. Also as an added bonus, they're dog lovers and loved to play and say hi to our dog throughout the day. read more

Ray and his crew were outstanding! They got the job done in time before my move, were experts at advising on color choices and the work itself was quality. Would highly recommend! read more

Ray's team did an amazing job repairing our drywall and painting our ceiling. Ray's communication throughout the entire process was exemplary. He answered all of our questions and explained exactly what the work would entail. His team always showed up on time and cleaned up everything afterwards. They were all very courteous and professional. We will definitely be contacting Ray again for any future drywall & painting repairs. read more

10/10 stars. Ray is THE BEST. I had an very, very tight timeline to paint our new ~2600 sq ft condo before we moved in and Ray and his guys works their butts off to make it happen. Overall outstanding work and customer service. AND in addition to painting, they addressed some drywall repair work (stemming from trying to "fix" a wall ourselves... oooops). Ray is easy to work with and makes sure you are happy with progress every step of the way. He texted me every day during the job to keep me apprised of status. Finally, he was great about cleaning up at the end of the project. HIGHLY recommend. read more

I used Ray to paint my home last week and he was amazing!! First, he took me on a last minute notice and then gave me a competitive price for all of the work he did. He fixed several dry wall patches in my bathroom, on some walls and on my ceiling and then painted over it - it looked good as new!! His crew also worked long days so that it only took a few days to paint my whole home! I would absolutely recommend him for any paint job/ dry wall fixings you may have. I'm sure I'll be using him again in the future. Thanks Ray! read more

Great painting at a great price. It feels like we have a whole new living room now. All the edges are crisp and clean, the paint chosen has minimal odor (important with a baby in the house), and the crew cleaned up immaculately. Highly recommend. read more

Ray and his team were amazing! They were very professional and accommodating. When I asked for a couple changes they did them with a smile! My place looks great! read more

Did an outstanding job on short notice to repaint ceiling that had water damage. Would highly recommend.

Ray passed the ultimate test when my wife stated that "the paint job looks great." Ray was punctual, courteous, professional, and conscientious in repainting our bedroom. He also completed a really nice paint job. He covered furniture, sanded out bumps, recut bad lines from the previous bad paint job, and cleaned up. I would hire him again in an instant. read more

Called them in to repair a bad mud job done by another contractor and paint some rooms. They did an excellent job repairing the old work, they worked quietly, cleanly and on schedule. Owner stayed in close contact throughout the project. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended. read more

I was initially impressed with the reviews and photos online but was disappointed after I spoke with him and was told he does not service the south side of Chicago. read more

Ray came out and surveyed my condo, gave a quote and a date he could get the work done. I committed to him, then a few days later he canceled the job on me. By that point I was already out of town for a week and unable to find a replacement. Given how busy painters are, this is setting me back several weeks. I dont doubt he'd have done a fine job (which you'd expect given how expensive he is), but the lack of reliability was really troubling. read more

Ray and his team are the real deal! I needed my new apartment painted and Ray was able to make my place look completely different and like new with fresh paint. The paint job was absolute perfection, and he went above and beyond to make the walls look like new. Additionally, Ray was able to fix the wood trim on the side of my entry way that had been removed by the previous owners. He was easy to communicate with, checked in often, and was a pleasure to work with! I'd recommend to anyone who wants attention to detail and a very hard working team. read more

Great work from a reliable team to paint my rehabbed home's trim (all done in flat paint) and the walls of our entire upstairs. We were very pleased with the results and short amount of time it took to get it all done. read more

Ray was wonderful. He painted the entire fully furnished basement of our house after we suffered water damage-- including some doors and the fireplace. He and his team were prompt, professional, courteous and very thorough. I wasn't sure about the right shade of the color I chose and Ray went out of his way to get it right, it looks perfect. I really recommend his services and will definitely be coming back to him for more interior work. He really is excellent. read more

I am very happy with the job Ray did for me. I had several rooms painted and all of them required some patching and drywall repairs. Everything turned out perfect and I am kind of OCD about details! He is very easy to work with, very trustworthy. He did all the painting while I was at work. The final price was the exact quoted price. I will be having him come back in the future for some other rooms and recommending him to people. read more

We hired Ray to paint our Lincoln Square condo. His estimate was right on target and he finished our job very quickly. He and his team were prompt, courteous and on-budget. In some cases, his professional recommendation even saved us money. He has a great sense of color and went above and beyond in helping us find the right color for our bathroom. We've also hired him for other work, including trim and repairing drywall and ceiling cracks. I've recommended his services to other friends and they've hired him with similar results. He's one of the best and most honest Chicago painters and contractors around. read more

We hired Ray and his team this week to paint the top floor of our house and to do some touch ups on some outside areas that had started to peel after the Winter. They did an excellent job and finished everything in one day. Would definitely bring them back for any future projects. read more

Ray is a dependable and reliable contractor and an all-around great guy. We have recommended him to friends many times and he has never let us down. We first hired Ray six years ago to help us restore our finished basement when it sustained heavy water damage. Not only did he do a fantastic job painting, but he brought in a terrific team to help with drywall replacement and trim work and door repair. Since then, we have hired him many, many times for various projects inside and out and have never been less than 100% satisfied with his work. His pricing is reasonable, he sticks to the budget, has unbelievable attention to detail and has a terrific sense of color. We trust him completely to work in our home when we are not there. Oh, and if he is not "on the clock", you might find him at a local animal shelter donating his services to spruce up their "home" too! read more

I hired Ray to paint my 1200 sq ft condo in Logan Square. He did a fantastic job and I was very satisfied with his work and professionalism. His quote, timing and material estimates were all spot on. He provided a daily update to keep me informed on the progress and planning. The prior owners had very dark, rich colors on the walls and trim and Ray took extra care to apply 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint to thoroughly cover with no show-through. Overall I am very happy with Ray's work and would recommend him to anyone looking for a loyal and trustworthy painter. read more

Ray and crew just finished patching and painting a major water stain on the ceiling of my house. They did an excellent job and the price was sooooo reasonable. Very easy to get in touch with Ray and he got me on the books super quick for the job. Can't recommend enough!! read more

Hired ray to tape and mud a bedroom wall that i had rebuilt in my loft. since it was a loft there was a lot of intricate detail work and notching due to a wood ceiling with beams all over the place. At the end of the day i couldn't have been more pleased. His guys did a fantastic job and were extremely clean and courteous. When they were done the wall looked perfect and you wouldn't have even known they were there, which is saying a lot bc that process creates a ton of dust. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the work and would definitely hire him again to do drywall work or paint. read more

Update. As expected the paint job on the condo was done right and on time for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Ray.

I have used Ray's services two times for painting my condo in Lincoln park. Ray is great to work with, he is friendly and helpful. He gave great input to help me pick out the colors I liked for each room. He is very professional, very reasonable with his pricing, and gets the job done true to his commitment. The quality of his work is excellent. I was very impressed with his work the first time that I hired him again. If I am in need of a painter again, he will be the one I will call. I highly recommend him to others. read more

Just needed one room painted for a nursery. I contacted four companies to get estimates and Ray was the only person that actually came out to look at the job. He was responsive and prompt and price was very fair compared to other bids. He took precautions to protect the new carpet in the room and did an excellent job painting. He even took the time to paint slightly inside the closet door so you wouldn't see the white paint from inside the closet when the doors are closed, since new color in room is blue. I did not even think about that. I would definitely use Ray again in the future and would recommend him to friends. read more

Couldn't give 6 stars, so I give Ray 5. I used Ray and his crew to paint my 3BR condo which included quite a bit of ceiling repair and drywall replacement.. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

Ray and his team were wonderful. He is easy to communicate with and he and his team pay close attention to detail. They were always on time, friendly, and cleaned up at the end of each day.
