But the only difficulty I would say was communicating with his team, if Frank wasn't present, because of my broken Spanish. But Frank was able to resolve any issues and concerns that we had. The work that they did was great! Our bathroom is beautiful!

Deck Doc just finished power washing, sanding and staining my deck, and I am 100% satisfied with…read moretheir work. I scheduled the work around last November, as I wanted my deck to be refinished and looking good for the full 2025 season. The first days with decent weather in late April the deck was washed, and by early May the deck was finished. A crew of 2 worked a full day power washing and bleaching the deck and 2 sections of yard fencing. Every part of the deck was thoroughly cleaned, including areas not normally visible, and all areas of the deck that were surrounded by bushes. Within about a week, as soon as we had a few sunny days and warmer weather, a crew of three worked a full day sanding and staining the deck and fence. The deck floor was power sanded, and all other surfaces were hand sanded, before all sawdust was carefully blown away and stain was applied. Deck Doc did an outstanding job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Communications regarding scheduling were excellent, work was done competently and on the days and at the times promised. The area around the deck was left completely clean when work was completed. Thank you for making my deck look like new.

I'm glad I went with Windy Painters to repaint five rooms (2 needed wallpaper removed) in my condo. Andy, the owner and sales representative, was very helpful with choosing colors and explaining the different reasons one color looks better with one specific color than with any of the others. Little details I wouldn't have thought of and I'm sure my place looks better than it would have with my original idea in mind (and it looks great!). His crew was prompt and professional. I work from home and my office was not one of the rooms I had painted, so I went about my daily routine while they were in my home. I worked the entire time they were there and barely heard them, even when they were in the hallway just outside my office door. I have a lot of furniture, which they put back into place exactly to my specifications. I am meticulous and, after several examinations the day they completed the job (3.5 days after beginning it, which seemed like good time considering the size of my place), I could not find a single flaw of any type. The walls are all smooth and the painted edges all sharp. There was nothing discuss with Andy when he called to follow up the day after the painting was finished, except to tell him thanks for a job well done. When he checked in again a month later there was still nothing to report--my initial inspection was correct: no errors. Two thumbs up! read more

We're very pleased with the work Windy Painters did for us. I did extensive research online and decided on five to call to get estimates. Of those only two showed up as scheduled. One never showed, never called, never returned my voice mail from the day his estimate was scheduled. I rescheduled with the other two, even though one did a last-minute cancel and the other just didn't show up day-of, but called the next day very apologetic. Even though we went ahead and got the four estimates, the lack of professionalism of the two companies narrowed it down to just two possibilities. There was a $500 range in the estimates. $2250??? low and $2700??? high. Even though Windy painters was $150??? more than the other contender, we went with them because of the good feeling we got from Andy. He was friendly and knowledgeable and presented himself very well. He got back to us almost immediately with the quote. His guys showed up on time every day. Everything looks GREAT! And they did a perfect job cleaning up. They even left the place relatively neat the two days everything was covered. They did the repainting back in August. I highly recommend Windy Painters. After an initial online search, I made a few calls to painters who would be willing to begin an outdoor painting job in October amid some volatile weather. We wanted to salvage and repair the original wood-framed windows of our 1924 bungalow. Andy answered my call and came the next day for an estimate. We discussed all aspects of the job and various approaches. We decided to reglaze and repaint all storm and exterior windows, repaint all exterior trims. Andy sent the estimate later that day. We were pleased with his price and liked him so much that we didn't speak to anyone else. Andy is extremely personable, promptly returns calls and listens to every detail, no matter how minor. We even added a few more items to the job, including extra detail work on the trims to highlight architectural elements, and repair of a interior ceiling.The painter who worked on our house was extremely diligent and hard working and finished the job impeccably amid some weather challenges. We usually do all of our own renovation work, so we know what jobs entail. We have not had enough time to take on the window project. Our house looks so wonderful, I couldn't be happier. read more

I bought my condo several months ago and needed to make several major repairs. After the amount of time and energy I spent handling those, I had little patience left for the final task, painting. A friend of a friend recommended Andy and his Windy Painters. After a quick conversation, he showed up the next day and provided me with a reasonable quote. The actual paint job took less than a day. Andy was very accommodating about my various out of the ordinary requests. On top of it, he left the place cleaner than when he started. On top of that? I needed the locks in my front door changed and, out of pure courtesy, he ended up helping me out with those. All in all, a great service provided by a very nice guy. As an owner in a coop I've dealt with a few contractors and am generally trepidatious about the specter of jobs being done poorly, slowly or not at the agreed upon price. Expectations are rarely met on all fronts and as the work is being done I am on pins and needles waiting for the other shoe to drop. My contractor at Windy Painter, has changed my outlook. The level of contact before the work was done was exceptional - every detail covered. Our floors were replaced exactly on schedule and our belongings were kept in perfect condition. The price was competitive and there was never an issue with our building (my super loves these guys). I had absolute fantastic experience with Andy and his team. To schedule an appointment and proposed several dates and time slots. He arrived on time and prepared very competitive quote for my ceiling water damage repairs. Chris and Rafal arrived around 7.30am. They quickly moved and protected all furniture, covered floors, fixed drywall water damages, painted the ceiling, cleaned everything and were done around 4pm. I thought it would take 2-3 days. I had four big holes in the ceiling, peeling tapes, water stains everywhere. Now I cannot tell where they were. One day and I have my place back. I can cook. I can watch TV. Best Painters Ever! After purchasing a condo, I decided to get it repainted. I had talked to a painting company and they had given me a reasonable price but after seeing their work, I decided I didn't want to go with them and needed to find a new painter asap. I called Andy (the owner) and he showed up at my condo the NEXT day; gave me a good price and detailed everything he was going to do. They finished the job in less than a week and everything was great. I am very meticiulous and I had a few spots I wanted Andy to touch up on. He came by the next day and touched up everything I wanted. Overall, I am very satisfied with them. Andy and Kris from Windy City Painters did a wonderful job! Andy came and did the initial quote and had such great, honest advice about the wallpaper I wanted to install. Kris worked out our new condo over the course of two days and put up gorgeous wallpaper (I really am not sure how he did some of the tiny detail work, it is immaculate!), took out an old security system and patched it up so it did not interrupt the pattern, did some painting, and installed a light fixture! He was extremely professional and kind, and just did a fantastic job. This was our third or fourth time using Windy Painters so that alone speaks volumes. This last time, Andy responded promptly as usual, came by to inspect and graciously accommodated our tight schedule. Chris started the work (paint refresh) yesterday morning and was done around noon today. He was punctual, organized and meticulous in his work. We tried to stay out of his way as much as possible but that's hard to do when working from home. He was able to work around us, did a great job and maintained a professional attitude the whole time. What a great painting company! When I called, Andy was able to come over right away to quote my project. I had some damaged plaster in a stairwell and had talked to a few different painters about how best to fix the damage. Andy's solution seemed more labor intensive, but would take care of the problem once and for all. The stairwell now looks amazing, with no evidence of the prior problem. You honestly can't even tell the wall was repaired, it is that good. Not only am I super happy with the quality of the work, I was amazed at how clean things were at the end of the project. We desperately needed our metal decks and staircase repainted in our condo building as metal was exposed and completely rusting through in some areas. The building used another company several years prior that just slapped the wrong paint on the metal and created a whole list of problems. My husband and I just closed on a home and met with 3 different painters (all from yelp and word of mouth) and Windy Painters not only gave the best quote but also was the most detailed during our initially meeting. Andy, the owner, is not only the nicest guy in the business, but he always shows up on site to do a preliminary review of the scope of work, and he regularly checks in throughout the project to make sure everything is gravy. He assigned Kris to our home and Kris is, by far, the hardest working guy I've ever met. We had four Chicago area painters come in and give estimates for a small job we needed done. Andy came to our home. He took the time to understand what we wanted done and explain options (e.g., it is possible to cut a piece of the drywall to color match the paint exactly and then repair the wall, so you cannot tell the difference). Windy Painters are my favorite contractors . I hire Andy's crew for several projects.Recently Oscar and Chris painted my rental apartment in Wrigleyfield. It was simple project- drywall repair with ceiling and walls painting. The apartment was ready in one day. Everything was fixed, painted and cleaned. When I was in Utah Andy painted my two bedrooms. Windy City painters Chris came by our downtown condo to do drywall repair and paint our bathroom. Chris did a great job on our bathroom by replacing damaged drywall with new ones. He also then primed and painted. He did a great job. Here is the best part of it all. I had baseboard that torn off, towel racks that were torn off and a bathroom light that needed replacing. We just had Kamil come to our townhome for some main entry way and living room drywall and ceiling repairs. We are very pleased with the results and the services provided. Kamil was efficient, knowledgeable, and easy to ask questions. Andy helped us understand what was possible. Other things we might want to be different (cracks in the caulking around the windows) were going to come back because of the way the construction was done.
