From the start, I was upfront that I wasn't necessarily looking to buy a new set that day--I just wanted to get properly fitted and understand my options. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fitter told me he wouldn't do a full fitting unless I was ready to make a purchase that day, implying there was "no point" otherwise, even though the appointment was booked in advance and the service is advertised as free. As a golfer trying to take my game seriously, I found this approach short-sighted and unprofessional. A fitting should be about helping players improve--not just pushing sales. Came in for a club fitting appointment with Andrew. I'm coming off an extended hiatus from golf (10+ years) and needed to add a driver and putter to my arsenal. Andrew was super patient, made me feel welcome, and gave good feedback and insight throughout the session. He evaluated my shots with each club and made small adjustments trying to optimize my contact with the club. Although, Andrew is affiliated with Titleist, he remained objective and had me try clubs from multiple brands. Very happy with my experience and confidently chose a driver that felt best and gave me the most consistent drives. Mr. Garcia even offered a returned and nearly brand new version of the driver I chose. This ended up being an exceptional value considering that it looked flawless after they cleaned it up. Looks like I had the same experience as a number of other people. Went in to get a whole new set and couldn't get any help. It was bizarre. They let a few people hang out in their analysis bays just messing around like they're at a private range and were unable to do a fitting with me. The excuse was 'we can't ask them to get out of the bay". Of course you can, the bay is there for fittings and sales, not practice for random people hanging out with there kids. And if you want to say it's like a driving range, if an instructor needs a bay for a lesson they'll have someone hitting balls leave. Every time I've ever been here the staff had been very patient and helpful. I ask a lot of newbie questions and they never make me feel dumb. They always spent the time to explain the issues to me. Yesterday, I brought in a broken driver shaft and wanted to have my Irons checked. Bryon is an amazing employee. He spent of a lot time helping me resolve my broken shaft issue by the quickest and most inexpensive means. He also gave me honest guidance on how to address the issues with my irons. Bryon and the rest of the crew are always customer service oriented and want to help me solve my problems. I never feel like they BS me or try to upsell me. For this reason and more, I'll always take the time to drive 45 mins to Riverside to buy golf products from here over just ordering on Amazon. 10/10 recommend Bryon and this store. read more

I haven't been to a Roger Dunn golf shop in many many years. Walked in and was blown away. Was overwhelmed in a good way. I needed to get a few clubs re-gripped. Three guys asked if I needed help and yes, I did. Think it was the manager but he helped me pick out grips for my wedges, putter, and driver. He explained the difference in material and texture, thickness, and color. Staff was able to re-grip 5 clubs under 15 minutes while I waited. Prices are very fair. Shout out to all the guys that work there. I just got started with this entire game a month ago using beater clubs that I borrowed. After scrounging up the bonus money I went to go on my budget after getting my spec's at another golf spot. Neighbors always help neighbors and the boys all helped figure out which set of graphite stiffs I needed within my budget. The selection here is immense. You do need at least an hour in there to figure out what you want. But if you know what you're looking for it should be easy! I just took too much time because I'm naturally indecisive. Keep in mind they have lots of amazing clubs but they also have clubs and iron sets that run fast. My set I just bought were in the used section. Amazing amazing TalyorMade irons in honestly great condition especially as a starter set. But here's the kicker, the set I bought were put on the floor the day before. And the putter I got was put on the floor that same day. Just goes to show if you spot a diamond it's most likely yours or someone else's. If your on a budget but they don't have what you want. Honestly keep looking around every other day and trust me, you'll find a pretty top notch set or putter worth looking for. Boys hooked me up too. Top notch service all around. read more

The Roger Dunn - Riverside store is the best golf shop that I have ever been to! Recently, I had a bad experience at one of the other Roger Dunn locations and was skeptical on going back to any of their stores, but I gave them another shot and went to the Roger Dunn - Riverside store because of the great reviews I read online. This location has probably the best customer service I've ever experienced. Everyone was friendly, knowledgable, professional and understanding. I want to thank Mark, who is an amazing club fitting specialist with a wealth of knowledge and provided me plenty of options for clubs and putters. Another thank you to Kyle, who helped me with my appointment, my grips and my purchases, he was very professional and knowledgable. And lastly, I want to thank Byron, the store manager, he is kind and knowledgable, sets an amazing example for his team and is a great leader. The manager of this store is so incredibly helpful, kind, and personable. He was very knowledgeable about a specific golf ball that would be beneficial to my game. He gave pros and cons to a variety of different golf balls. I haven't changed that golf ball since his recommendation. I also get my grips changed here and they are typically quick with it. I rarely have to wait longer than 30 min. I try not to go in expecting the grips to be done that day, but it usually works out that way! Also, I won a new golf club at a tournament I went to and Roger Dunn's was so great about giving me a gift card for exchanging that club I won (since I didn't need the 5 hybrid). Andrew answered all of my questions and spent the time helping me test 4-5 drivers. He was super helpful, knowledgeable and patient as I hit probably 50 balls in one of the bays. This store among all golf store for me personally is the best. I've been to other Roger Dunn, Worldwide Golf, etc. However, this store has good and great personnels. The Manager Byron Schafer is a great guy. You could feel that he cares for customer's interest. Came in to look for a golf bag. Took the bag on the front counter and I ask if I can get a little break from the price. I wasn't really expecting he would give me a discount. He knew I have been back and forth in the store eyeing on a bag. To my surprise, he gave me a good deal. again, I wasn't even expecting it. I decided to even get me a used putter and two tee-bag on sale. Honestly, if he didn't give me a deal, I could have walked-out due to my limited cash. Bryon has compassion with his customers. Wow. Just wow...Stopped in here to have shafts pulled from 2 old irons. I was quoted 20$ a club. I was shocked....Really??? I often wonder how stupid these people think the public is. 40$ to put the torch to 2 irons and pull the shafts out???? TAKES LITERALLY 2 MINUTES. No thank you. Further, they weren't very friendly, walking away as I was talking to them. You are struggling to survive. I would think you would be BEGGING to be nice to people here. This store is on its last gasp and I won't be back. Try PGA Superstore or even Golf Galaxy for FAR better customer service. EVERYTHING in this store can be ordered online and usually at a better price. I bought a pair of addidas 365 ultimate slacks while I was here so as not to waste the trip, but I will never be back.
