Was having probably the worst day a rider can have, short of going down on the bike....had all my gear and helmet cut off my bike in the parking structure of LAX. Immediately went over to Cycle Gear Riverside off Tyler where I get all of my moto needs and was greeted with the best hospitality as always. Stephanie was made aware of the situation and did everything she could to get me outfitted with a new helmet, Cardo system, and jacket. She helped me stay within budget for this unexpected expense that I had to address. My day dramatically improved because of the compassion and care that she showed me, given the less than ideal situation. She's also extremely knowledgable in all of the store's products which was very helpful in deciding on the new gear. Cycle Gear are dirty sold my nephew a set of tires never checked the year make and model to make sure they were the correct size that was needed had to take them to Malcolm Smith to get them mounted get to Malcolm Smith was the wrong size went to take the tire that was $230 back because I had to buy one there it was just dumb to go back and forth and told me they wouldn't return it because the tire label were gone and said It was mounted which is wasn't then Stephanie and josh are very horrible customer service told me I was wrong when I wasn't then hung up on me for them not. The service here is FANTASTIC! I came here to buy motorcycle gear multiple times. I'm a beginner and Ricardo spent over 30 minutes with me helping me find the perfect helmet and teaching me what to look for. I ended up purchasing the Arai DTX which is by far the best helmet I've put on my head (and it was sold cheaper here than places like Chaparral and Malcom). I came back a different time to choose different body gear. Thomas was also fantastic in helping me find the perfect size and fit. I spent probably over an hour and a half with Thomas as he helped me try on different jackets, pants, and gloves. Although I left that day $1000 poorer, I was extremely happy to FINALLY find gear that fits someone as small as me. I would definitely come back here if I want to buy gear again. Do not shop at this racist store! I parked in front of this place to ensure my mom's safety as she shopped, due to the amount of homeless people hanging out in front. The employee came out to ask me to move my car because "usually when people park outside things are about to happen." I asked what was going to happen and he became irritated, did not answer my question, and angrily responded for me to move my car. My hazards were on and there was another car parked directly ahead of me as well. However, I was the only driver approached. If this establishment is so concerned about "things happening" then all cars should be asked to move. But like a true Kevin/Karen, he proceeded to make phone calls, stating he was calling security, and repeatedly entered and exited Cycle Gear as he took several pictures of myself and my car, to the point of harassment - tapping on my window and yelling that he was calling security. Ridiculous. I sat silently in my car waiting for my mom to come out. Needless to say, the only difference between me and the other driver is our color. Surprise surprise. read more

Jordan killed it. I came down from Idyllwild to get new tires mounted and balanced. We had a nice conversation about what tires are suitable for different types of riding, some of the motorcycles we've ridden, and scaring our moms because we rode bikes. I called earlier this week to raise the the concern about my helmet headset not working. The manufacturer website says it has a 2 year warranty and suggests to bring it back to the retailer which is cycle gear. So when I called in since I purchased it at this location, the dude that answered the phone told me that they only offer 30 day returns and the manufacturer warranty is only 1 year not 2 years. I told him I'm looking at an email that says it's 2 years, either way, he didn't care and told me I need to send it back. So I called in on Friday to ask if they had record of my purchase so I could send it back. I spoke with a lady this time and she looked up my purchase and said I purchased a 2 year extended warranty, I can just bring it right back into the store. So Saturday I brought it in, drive 35 miles one way to do so. The dude behind the counter was going to handle this exchange, remember I'm not getting a refund, which is cool. Well I tried my headset for 2 weeks before I brought it in. He pushes the same buttons and wowee it comes one. He tells me he can't exchange it because it works. So I'm a little frustrated. The manufacturer has a 2 year warranty, I purchased a 2 year warranty, they blew me off on the phone then don't care I drove 35 miles to deal with this issue and then the dude says 'do you even know how to turn it on?' That is one of those 'oh no he didn't' moments. A headset I've had for nearly 2 years he asks me if I know how to turn it on. This seems to be cycle gear norm. I've purchased 4 pair of gloves with a lifetime warranty and each time I've gone in they say 'that's not covered'. They aren't getting dragged across the ground. They just wear out quickly. The salesperson-Thomas(cashier 9423) I believe was his name was so very patient and did the swap out. My helmet was over 5 years old and Thomas suggested that helmets should be changed more frequently. I ordered a new helmet with Thomas's help and it's being shipped from another cycle gear location. Usually like cycle gear but I bought some tires and was mislead by a lady telling me I get free tire changes when you buy tires there and only have to pay for the replacement tubes if needed so I decided to come back down and drop them off.
