Auto Zone #05578, Riverside, CA Re: Rosa cashier PCI #491940 To Whom It May Concern, Today on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at approximately 5:00 p.m., I visited AutoZone store #05578 in Riverside, CA, to exchange a blinker light bulb for my Jeep. The service clerk who assisted me on a prior visit had sold me the incorrect bulb, so I returned to the store seeking an exchange for the correct part. When I explained the issue, a woman from behind the counter came forward to assist. After looking at the bulb, she insisted it was the correct part. I explained to her that it did not fit my vehicle. Instead of working with me to resolve the situation, her response was dismissive and unhelpful. I left the store feeling frustrated, unassisted, and dissatisfied with the service I received. As a customer, I expect AutoZone staff to provide accurate information and courteous service. This experience fell far short of that standard. I'd only give 5+ stars for the store manager Octavian very helpful, patient and did not look for excuses to turn us away. The reason for my one star wishing I can put negative stars is for a female who assisted us first but before that while in line they are having a conversation with another employee and cussing out loud not showing professionalism. Once we were assisted by this female worker, just finding excuses to turn us away not understanding our request and not taking their time to look for our previous purchases or receipts. I feel very bad for the store manager as it shows she does not respect Octavian as a manager. I hope this gets looked into by district managers because imagine how many other customers have to receive bad customer service and be turned away feeling like there's no solution to their requests. He was knowledgeable and helpful, but most of all, friendly and polite. We always panic when something goes wrong with our car, but Isaac was calm and was super nice explaining everything. I bought a tool that I needed. If I did not need it asap I would have left the store and bought it somewhere else. Needless to say I will not shop here again. There is an older woman who yelled at a customer who tried to return something. I then heard her complain about a coworker. When I went to the register to pay she yelled at me. I told her that I thought she was rude and she then refused to ring me up. She picked the phone instead and began taking an order for a battery. I got a very rude answer that they'd have to look at car and see if they could. So I asked him to explain further and he repeated the same answer. Quick, Nice & Helpful!!! Al thanks to Emily & Rosa !!! Emily greeted me as I was in line. She was just wrapping up with something else she was doing then she came to help me in line. Asked for the year make & model then told her my baby Pegasus needed. So I needed 2 of the cylinder ignition coils & they only had 1 in stock. She did say I could buy both at that store then just go pick up the other one. Which was absolutely perfect seeing that I'll be needing it for the mechanic this coming Saturday. So I paid for them then went off to pick up the second ignition coil. Super smooth transaction Rosa pointed on the receipt where the address of the other location pick up was going to be at therefore made it super quicker !!!! Then the exact same service for me. I had called earlier for info and he had answered and was extra helpful. Only bought wiper blades for a very old vehicle but after mentioning I was not adept to install properly, without hesitancy he offered and did install them. This place has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Plus mass confusion Most of the time. I wanted to buy a battery they wanted $215. I thought all AutoZone s were the same but they're not !!!!! I drove 1.9 miles to the second AutoZone on La Sierra for the exact same battery is $146 out the door. Plus I receive really good polite customer service. I strongly suggest anybody wanting to buy anything from AutoZone do not buy from the store on Lasierra and Indiana. Drive the 1.9 miles north on Lasierra. You'll get better customer service and a much better price. read more

I still can't believe what happened to me Yesterday! I had the worse customer service experience at this AutoZone store (store # 5578, 3400 La Sierra Ave Riverside, CA) The reason of I went there was to buy a Fuel System Cleaner and to return three items that didn't fit my car, about $10.00 worth. I went there with my friend and this girl (name not available) started to help me with the returns and my purchase and everything seem fine, when suddenly, this guy whom I think is a manager of the store "Jay L." went over to the girl and started questioning her about this item returned by me that allegedly had a missing part. (item # 095983 Lynx 8" J type battery hold kit $3.54) I asked the guy what missing part was he talking about, and I explained everything that came with the package was there. But he said no that one of the parts was missing from the package. My guess is he was referring about a part that goes over the battery, but such part is not include on this kit. I told him again that there are no missing parts and to check the label or check his inventory to compare it against my returned item. Then this guy said, "maybe I will" so I said again go ahead and check see what the labels says. I assumed that after checking the label he was going to apologized for implying that I was stealing a part, so I gave him a couple minutes for him to check the package, then I asked what did the label said, but instead of apologizing he said with an arrogant and defiant tone: "you got lucky". I asked him what does he mean by that, but his only reply was "you got lucky". As I was leaving, I made sure to verify his name shown on his name tag, "Jay L" I told him that I was going to file a formal complaint to corporate, but to my surprise he started to laugh with an exaggerated loud tone, like he was amused, he said "go ahead" while pointing at the door where the corporate phone numbers were posted. I left the store appalled by his disrespect and lacked of professionalism he displayed towards me a paying customer, I'm also sorry about the other customer that had to witness the event, which is the same customer that he was apparently helping. I'm the type of person that normally will not complain unless something really is call for or something extraordinary happens, believe me this is one of those times. I don't wish for this guy to lose his job or anything like that but I strongly feel that this type of behavior should not be ignored and maybe additional soft skills training should be involved. No one deserves to be accused and mistreated for returning items that don't work on your car. Shame on AutoZone for hiring and promoting people like that. read more

Extremely rude customer service at this location! This is the second time I have came and both times the people working were rude and acted as if they didn't want to help you. This time the guy acted as if my questions were stupid laughing w a smirk and told me I could go in to "ask nicely" to ask for my battery to be charged if I needed that done. Than I asked to charge it and he told me I need to remove the battery myself or go have my "boyfriend" or "husband" remove it for me. Said thank you I would have to come back and he says "yup." He even told me to hold the machine that checks the battery. Did not "ask nicely." So rude. I had to leave there with my car almost not starting at night while my child was with me nothing resolved from an employee who is suppose to help. First off, I'm a girl so I walked in there asking for the code reader thingy when really my light bulb notification light came on. Milton helped me with identifying that. Grant was helpful too. Pretty much, I walked in and needed help to find out why one of my notification lights came on and walked out paying $7.06 for a light bulb. Milton even showed me a YouTube video on how to change the bulb. Within 30 minutes of walking into the store, I'm home and already have my problem solved with the notification light is gone. He helped us reinstall a new battery as well as several upgrades to our car. Being an autozone, the pricing was on the higher end, but this is a place i will come back again due to the great service. The other gentle man ask the Black cashier he said we don't install. Kevin installed both. I think the Black guy needs customer service training. He also has stains on his shirt.
