I was in the market for a front bumper for my 2019 GX460. I just couldn't fine the one the I liked. When I did find one...it was from a custom fabricator....but none of them Ever respond back to my emails, IM, or calls....SO WEIRD! Then with my frustration, I posted on a FB page and asked for a recommendation. Boom...I get contacted by Jason...the owner of DeMello Off-road. He just started to offer front bumper for my model. After going back n forth...I decided to move forward and order directly through him with all the bells and whistles. I was expecting 16-20 weeks of wait time. But within two weeks, I was. Origins of updated bumper was in and sent to be powder coated. Then few days later, it was ready. Install date has been scheduled. I never expected status updates and personalized service. I've been holding off on writing this because I'm not trying to flame an independent business, but my dealings with Jason Demello have led me to believe that he is truly a con artist and I want my money back from this thief. I ordered a bumper on 10/28/24. Yes, 2024. As of today that's 444 days. Almost 64 weeks. Website says 4-12 weeks for production, for what it's worth. Anyway, I follow up on 3/7/25 (more than 16 weeks later) for an update and request a refund if the bumper hasn't moved into production yet. I'm told "Bumper is currently in the cut and bend stage, welding is next. Should be done soon. I'm sorry for the delay." Great. Longer than advertised lead times, but so it goes. Stoked to get the bumper. Two months pass with no update and no bumper. Starting to get annoyed, I follow up on 5/7/25 with a refund request. No reply. Follow up again 5/22/25 and he asks for my order number, which is at the bottom of the email if he wanted to scroll down. Fine. Months pass. Still nothing. Follow up again 8/6/25. Nothing. Again on 8/8/25. "We were over whelmed by the number of refunds we have encountered in recent months, due to underestimated lead times and we are sorry. We are addressing and refunding them in the order they were received. I will update you as soon as I can." More months pass. Nothing. Another follow up on 10/15/25 asking if they can process my refund already and just get "Sure can". Still nothing. Follow up again on 10/29/25 "I understand. Please understand I'm doing everything I can to make this happen. I have numerous people all wanting it back yesterday. I'm doing everything I can to make everyone whole. I may have some this week. " Follow up on 11/7/25 "I understand. I have to go in order for who asked first and who is the oldest. I'm going as fast as I can, I should be able to this month" Follow up on 12/2/25. Nothing. 12/4/25. Nothing. 12/12/25 "I'll check with my list tomorrow and see where you are at on the refund list. I paid a couple off last week. I think you are coming up next ". Follow up on 12/15/25. Nothing. Follow up on 12/19/25. Nothing. Follow up on 12/21/25. Nothing. Follow up on 12/22/25. Nothing. Follow up on 12/23/25 "I'm Sorry we have a long list of refunds and I'm going as fast as we can to refund them all. You are 3rd on my list right now." Follow up on 12/29/25 " tried but it didn't happen. Looks like I'll have funds this week." Guess what I didn't get? Follow up and follow up and follow up. You get the picture. Lies lies lies. It's now the middle of January 2026. Been dealing with this fool since October 2024. Dude is truly a con artist and I'm not convinced he is actually capable of producing anything. Ordered parts 9-11-25 and STILL have not received. Keep being told "two more weeks". Ridiculous amount of time to wait. Update. Asked for a refund over two weeks ago and just emailed to check status. Jason says apparently that January and February are slow months and that he will get around to getting me my money back when he is able to. I would absolutely say stay away from this business as they clearly do not have a sound business practice if it takes them over five months to deliver a single pair of rock sliders and do not have capital on hand to refund $1000 when they cannot deliver the product. read more

Ordered my bumper in October of 2024, despite the 4-18 week lead time, and after threatening legal action, I finally received an incomplete order in September of 2025. First excuse was the salesman was fired, then it was moving shop and eventually limited to no communication at all. After requesting for a refund on the parts not shipped, I still have yet to receive the money for items never received. This place is crooked and would not recommend. read more

Unfortunately I have to echo Edgar B.'s review. Ordered rock sliders for my wife's 4Runner that never came. The communication was polite but ineffective. Jason always promises he's looking into it. After waiting almost a year now, I'm taking the hit and moving to a different vendor. This is ironic since my FJ is kitted out with almost the entire line of Demello's very fine metalwork (purchased a few years ago with no problem so maybe they have gotten too busy for their own good?) and now I have to tell people who compliment my FJ not to shop Demello. read more

Products are built with amazing quality. Extremely strong front bumper on my tacoma for winching. Was told 4-8 weeks when I called and ordered. Ended up being 15 weeks. Requested updates 2 months after order, then every 1 month. Updates regarding status were not accurate. Then I got the bumper and didn't get the mounting hardware with the bumper. They had to ship it separate. Mounting bracket for the winch took 3 months to get afterwards and again the hardware wasn't supplied. Had to request again. Some attention to detail lacking, but products are really high quality when you do eventually get them. So 4 stars. Also, daily Instagram posts with incorrect spelling and/or grammar. All the attention to detail is on the product I guess. read more

I was looking for rock sliders and body mount chop for my 2015 4Runner and was surprised that their shop was about an hour away. Tiffany is the one who runs everything and she kept good communication with me throughout the process. I ordered sliders 2 months ago and missed the last batch so I had to wait for the next order. She called me last Friday and scheduled for 1030 today to get the work done. When I got there, they went to work on my truck immediately. I was satisfied with their quality of work that was done in a timely manner. I appreciate they took their time on my rig yet still got everything done while I waited there. Absolutely out standing work, just had a new bumper put on (2011 FJ Cruiser) here with some new lights and a few other things. Sales manager Vy is awesome to talk to, gave me some really good advice with out making me feel stupid, and Jason the owner is the same way. I haven't been wheeling in about 12 years and have forgotten quite a few things, plus I used to drive a 2007 Wrangler so my fj is a very different animal. I've been to and talked to several off road performance shops here in town (N. Hollywood) and a lot of them have this "high fidelity" attitude and make you feel stupid for just asking a question. So I will sum this up by saying that 1 they have a great product, 2 they don't ask for your 1st and 2nd born when it comes to labor, and 3 they are just really coooooooool (I wish I could remember the name of the specialist that installed my bumper he did a great job) and to me that's well worth the drive. read more

I've gone to Demello in the past when I needed parts for my Tacoma, but never actually got down to writing a review. In a nutshell, they were fantastic to work with back then (~6 years ago). Now I'm back. This time to get some parts completed on my 4Runner. Demello was having a 20% off sale on 4Runner sliders (in my case they'd be used for door ding protection while at the supermarket and as a step for the cargo carrier) about 2 months ago so I decided to jump on the great deal! I initially started the conversation with Demello's team via email while my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. To my surprise, my questions regarding price and availability were answered within minutes by Jason Demello. The man is easy to talk to and even included the installed price. This was on Friday afternoon so I decided to continue the conversation on Monday to get everything paid. On morning Monday, I was greeted with an email from Tiffany asking if my questions were answered the previous Friday, which they were. I decided to ask her when i could schedule an appointment with the shop for installation. She quickly responded and let me know we would be in touch once they received the product in stock (they were swamped with orders due to their promotional price). Working in the world of manufacturing, I completely understand not wanting to commit to a customer, ESPECIALLY if you don't know a legitimate time frame. Better to be safe than sorry. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, and my appointment for install was made. Tiffany's response time is top notch, and her ability to answer all questions is fantastic! So now I'm here and was greeted by Jason at the door. They're currently installing the sliders, and I'll be ready to hit the supermarket once again, without worry of door dings. So, the 5 Stars is for how great the Demello product actually is. The one I ordered (Aluminum Evil Eye Front Bumper for FJ Cruiser) is wonderful. I have a rear steel bumper from a different company and I will say that Demello is not only way easier to install, but more finely crafted too. Great job Demello. However, I must say that Demello sent me the bumper with no numerical address, just a street NAME and city, no number. It also came with a few dings. Who knows maybe UPS mishandled it. Whatever it's a bumper on a truck meant to off-road, so no biggie. Also there was no installation manual. I sent them a mean email and they responded apologetically. Demello seemingly is a smaller company. Made to order. If you're willing to wait a few weeks to a month for your bumper, Demello is really a good choice. All in all, great product. Buy this bumper and save a ton on installation. If I can do it, so can you. read more

I have a couple experiences with DeMello... Jason had posted a deal on tacomaworld.com for some sliders that they had mistakenly made .5" too high. I jumped on the deal and contacted Tiffany to make an appointment to come in and get the sliders installed. She responded to my emails in a reasonable time frame which was great. So I came in on the day of my appointment and met Jason and he asked me if I wanted them to drill the extra holes when they install the sliders and I said yes. I picked up my truck after the install and drove home. As I was inspecting sliders I noticed that one of the bolts had not been tightened (I should have checked before I left DeMello). So I went under the truck to tighten the bolt. While I was down there I noticed that the extra holes had not been drilled. I was pretty disappointed since I drove over and hour to go to DeMello and took a day off of work (again, should have checked before I left). I contacted Tiffany about it and she didn't give me a hard time at all and helped me make an appointment for the weekend. They are not open on the weekends but she scheduled one of their guys to come in just to help me out. The day before I am supposed to go DeMello to fix the sliders I received my Icon Stage 4 suspension and had it installed by a local shop. When I got my truck back the rears suspension was installed incorrectly. No shock mount notches and the reservoirs were mounted in the strangest places. I told the installers that I wanted the notches done and the reservoirs relocated to the correct place. They tried to convince me that it was fine and that this "wasn't their first rodeo". But they said if I really wanted it done I could come back the next day and they would take care of it. So I took them up for that even though I was a little uncomfortable having them do further work on my truck, and planned to take it there after I got back from DeMello. So Saturday morning comes around and I am at DeMello and met Daniel and his kids. He took a look at my suspension and was shocked (pun intended). I told him that I had cash and I could pay him to fix it but I understood if he couldn't because he had his kids with him and I didn't go there for that work. But before I could even finish my sentence he said he would take care of it! He even inspected the front suspension! I genuinely felt that he cared about my truck and my safety. I spent a decent amount of my hard earned money for the suspension and it should have been installed correctly. I can't say enough about DeMello. I will be purchasing all DeMello armor, when that time comes haha! In my opinion it is better to spend a little bit more to have your parts installed by a place that are experts with your vehicle than to take to a shop that you are not sure about just to save a few bucks. Lesson learned. I now have peace of mind that my suspension and sliders are good to go. DeMello has earned my future business! These guys really care! Great customer service.
