Unlike the AC tech I had with another company, Brian was able to quickly troubleshoot and gave me a very clear detailed explanation of what the malfunction was on my AC unit. He even provided a better strategy on how to set both of my thermostats (upstairs/downstairs) to provide the most efficient cooling that results in saving money on my AC bill. We called Roger on a Sunday morning and he was at our house within 30 minutes. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it quickly. He also did a nice job explaining to us what had happened. I then asked him to take a look at our ceiling fan and he fixed that too! It was great that I didn't have to call another person to come out and fix the fan. This company was selected by my house warranty. Roger contacted me and left a message the day prior. He seemed very friendly and professional over the phone. However, the company's secretary was anything but professional. She indicated the day prior I would receive a call to let me know of when the technician would be there. I called and asked approximate time they would be there as I had not received a message or a call. She stated the technician allegedly called me; I had no missed call or voicemail. She reported the technician had already gone and no one was home. We stated we weren't home, due to the AC not working and were expecting a phone call. She seemed dismissive and at one point argumentative about our concerns. This company may have great reviews for their service by their technician, nonetheless their customer Services and concerns for their clients is unacceptable, improper, and negligent. read more

They replaced my A/C unit and installed it under a home warranty claim. Because of their poor install, it leaked into my bathroom onto my hardwood floors where they became stained and warped. When I called them they advised they were going to charge me to adjust their own install and not pay for the damage even though it was their error and poor foresight on how to install. In addition they want to nickel and dime me for some PVC pipe that they buy in bulk. I asked if they would pay for the floors and both the tech and manager ignored me. This past January (2013), I was in the Phoenix area (Cave Creek) visiting my Mom & needed to contact someone to fix her ailing heater. As I was driving down Scottsdale road, I looked up some reviews on Yelp for an honest & reliable heating/A.C. repair company & coincidentally at that exact moment saw a Roger Cox van turning onto Dixileta Road. It was really a God send because I immediately looked him up & saw some really positive marks on Yelp, all across the board (service, price, reliability). I had a little trepidation at first because the reviews were positive however there weren't many of them. None-the-less I pushed through & called the phone # listed on the profile & it turned out to be Roger himself. He agreed to meet at my Mom's house in 15 minutes. After a brief consultation that evening, Roger & his crew came back the next morning & had the heater replaced that day! On top of that, he discovered the A.C. was failing (pump failing) & replaced that with a new unit as well. All-in-all I give Roger Cox the HIGHEST MARKS. His prices were VERY REASONABLE and in addition, he was a wonderful, ETHICAL MAN to work with as well. I've experienced a lot of repair "professionals" that run a lot of rackets- whether it be dishonestly hiding fees or just plain lying to your face...Especially in the heating & AC business, there seems to be a lot of that going on. Roger, fortunately (for my family and possibly for you), runs an honest, friendly & reliable business. I can't say enough good things about him! For a small company there's always going to be some concern but, I can say it wont take long after roger has come to your home that you'll realize that this company is not like any other they are very fair priced, knowledgeable, prompt, and very informative if you are the do it yourself kind of person like myself. Most companies will try to hide what they're doing in your home but, these guys made me feel very comfortable that they were not trying to cheat me out of my money while fixing my broken ac that ended up needing a new reversing valve. My A/C unit went out last night when temps were in 100's. I called my normal A/C guy however; I was not able to get ahold of him. Due to my wife being pregnant it was an emergency to get our A/C fixed. I checked yelp for a good referral. I was kind of skeptical when I know of an honest A/C guy already. I found that Roger Cox had some great reviews and decided to give him a call. It was 7:30 at night and didn't think anyone would answer, but Roger did. He mentioned he was finishing up a job and would stop by after he is complete. Roger showed up and fixed our A/C issue within 15 minutes. I was very impressed that he came out as late as he did and fix our A/C unit in the dark (9:30 P.M.)! The poor guy didn't even eat dinner but promised he would come out to check out our issue. Roger did not try to upsell anything, just wanted me to be happy with his quality of work and to refer him to our friends and family. Roger is a great person. I was very highly impressed with service. I called on a weekday at 8 AM because my A/C was not working. That's not a good thing in AZ when outside temps are over 100! Someone was at my house within an hour. I was not told "someone will be there between 10 and 4" and I did not have to sit around waiting all day. Not only was he there quickly, he showed me photos of the issue and explained to me what had happened. He ordered the parts, went to pick them up and was back in just over an hour to replace them. Once the parts were replaced, he showed me the broken parts and once again explained what had happened to cause the A/C not to work. He helped adjust vents (which was obviously not a required part of the job), etc. so that the air would flow into rooms better and gave me tips on keeping my elec bill down. I was so worried that I'd have to go several days before I'd be able to get the cold air flowing again and It was completely fixed by 1 PM. Thank you so much for your help Jerry!!!
