Now nine months later, we noticed anomalies in the system's performance. The team immediately set up a service call. Aidan Divarco, their ace warranty technician, was dispatched. He was here months ago as as we have a zone system splitting the house. This adds some nuance to the overall system. And on que, Aiden came in with sleeves rolled up. He is well trained and very intuitive. That's a compelling combination. Most owners of companies would steal to find a talent like him. Without sharing all the details and many hours of discovery, he really did not find something obvious. We live in Verrado, and used to be a customer of A/C Guys, but that business was sold to A Quality, so this was my first experience with them. And what a great experience it was! Their technician, Aiden came out, arrived on time, wore boot covers in the house, and performed a very complete and comprehensive tune up on both of our systems. They didn't try to do any upsell for unnecessary repairs, and made sure our a/c units were ready to go for the summer. I highly recommend this company for any of your HVAC or Plumbing needs. Chose this company due to the good Google and Yelp reviews. Our overall experience matched the other reviews in terms of their efficiency, professionalism and expertise. Their $69 service charge was reasonable and I would give Manny, our assigned tech, a solid 5 stars for his friendliness, professionalism and how quickly he identified the issue. The only reason for the three star rating is their high cost of repairs. I already suspected an electrical issue but didn't have a tall ladder to check the air handlers in the attic. The cause of the problem was simply a faulty electrical switch. Our quote was a whopping $508 (20% discount if you join their maintenance plan, which was reasonable at $250 for the two units we have). Even at the discounted rate of $406 it's still very unreasonable! An electrician would not dare charge me half as much! Declining the repairs was a NO Brainer... So after spending $150 for a good quality ladder and $7 dollars for a switch and overall about an hour of my time, my AC was up and running again. read more

From the moment I called very early on a Monday morning, to the FIX at an AFFORDABLE PRICE, was merely a couple of hours!!! HECK YES to this after a miserable night without A/C and fears that we would have to spend a few days in a hotel!! We have used this company before, as noted by my previous reviews. I honestly didn't remember who we used last. Thankfully, I very recently received a text from A Quality HVAC Services offering to come and service our unit at a discounted price as previous customers. I didn't respond right away, but I planned on contacting them. We didn't have any issues or concerns, so it was on the back of my mind and on the back burner of my priorities. The Universe delivered to me, as usual!! LOL! I didn't know that I was going to need them (and need to be reminded of who we successfully used in the past), but last night our A/C went out!! It was a miserable night!! It is forecasted to be 114 degrees today!! This morning was already HOT!! Our very thoughtful teen was leaving for school, and he brought me the fan from his room and plugged it in and blasted me before he left for school!! LOL! He knew that it was going to get WORSE!! If a place isn't going to be in business two or five years from now, we do NOT want to buy a A/C unit with a 10-year warranty! After researching for about an hour, I suddenly remembered the text message that I received a few days ago from A Quality HVAC!! I looked up the Yelp reviews and I saw MY OWN past reviews!! HELLO!!! I made a call and within an hour John showed up, and he was a pro! He was the SAME guy who helped us in the past!! This is a family-owned business that has been in business for about 25 years!! John diagnosed our situation quickly and as a very minor issue!!! Within an hour to diagnose and repair, our A/C is working, and we are sitting here happy in our cool house, despite it being 114 degrees outside!! We WON'T lose this contact information!! We taped the business card to our fridge so as to never forget who to call when and if we have a problem!! Feeling chill, happy and grateful that I got that text a few days ago, otherwise this story might not have such a happy ending!! LOL!! I do want to clarify that they may not be able to arrive within an hour and fix you up like it worked out for us this time, but I will say that they have earned our trust and all of our future business!!! I made an appointment with A Quality HVAC for 04/14 for a tune-up. I got several text messages confirming my appointment for 04/14. On 04/13, the day before my appointment Leanne called me to tell me that nobody is available for my appointment and she isn't sure why I was able to book it, or why I got confirmation text messages. For the record, I submitted several inquiries with companies for this service and turned down two other companies because I had already booked with A Quality HVAC. I expressed my concern because I had taken off of work for this, and I work full time downtown to which I was told that Leanne would call me the morning of 04/14 with a Supervisor by 8:00 to see what they could do. I NEVER received that call back. Do not book this company, extremely unprofessional. They canceled 24 hours in advance (after confirming my appointment via text several times) and never called back with a Supervisor when they promised they would. Do not reccomend. I'm debating whether it is 4 or 5 star, but leaning towards 5. The most important things are the workmanship, availability, accuracy and professionalism. These were all aced with flying colors. You get what you pay for. It wasn't a cheap AC replacement. They were ready within an hour of my call to add additional refrigerant. They were available to reschedule as needed. They turned on a dime for me. They got me the energy rebate I requested, without me having to lift a finger. They worked directly with my insurance to make sure I was taken care of. They make detailed reports and can explain the more decisions. Even though I didn't need the extra thermostat at this time, it was included in the package. I had to ask for it when it came time to pay the bill. I think it was complimentary along with the install but they still itemize free things on the receipt. I was extremely disappointed. I did a little research and bought the Yelp prepaid service credit. The Technician (Chase) was knowledgeable and went right to work assessing the problem. Then I got a overly long video presentation of the repair estimate - over $4000. The next day, when I told them they were nuts, they told me they had made a mistake and It would only cost $3200. I suspect the mistake would have never been found if I had agreed to pay the $4000+. Either way I thought the second estimate was still ridiculous, although somewhat less so. I read later on the internet that a evaporator coil leak should cost about $1000 to repair. That sounds about right to me. read more

I had use this company in the past for many years. They installed a new unit on my business. I worked fine until need to use the heat. Informed them it would not come on. Tech came out and changed wires on unit on roof that goes to the thermostat. As we all know winter is very short. So to my surprise in spring now the A/C would not come on. I was told that they would charge me for a service call because and i quote Clint "you must have changed the wires" I reminded him that i have used his company for many years and for many units on my rentals, that he was going to that petty i would take my business else were. So i did. When that companies tech came out and checked the wires it was determined that when the new unit that was installed by A quality they spliced a longer piece of thermostat wire to the new unit and they did not match colored wires correctly so that the same pattern on the unit matched the pattern at thermostat. The lack of detail by A Quality caused me lots of aggravation and for them to lose a good customer. I do find it interesting that a company that claims to be in business for 25 years only has a handful of reviews. Kind of tells me they dont have a whole lot of happy customers. read more

I contacted this company for a routine AC check before the summer heat. The technician came out and told me my compressor was going bad. I told him that I had it replaced 3 years ago. He then told me that The AC leaking free-on and that when they changed my compressor(3 yrs ago)they didn't fix the real problem the Free-on leak so now my compressor is bad again. I have had 2 AC Services before this company and none of the techs told me I had a leak and or that my compressor was going bad. How did this company know that 3 years ago I had a free-on leak??? Then they gave me quotes to fill with free-on and also to replace the entire AC unit. Move forward bout a month, I go to turn on my AC and it doesn't work at all! I got outside and see that they left the fuse outside of the compartment. I put it back inside where is belonged and the AC worked. I since have had another AC company come out, referred to me by a close friend. The tech found that the shedder valve was loose and then capped, which allows for a slow leak of Free-on. This was left by Quality HVAC company's technician. Very upsetting and I'm glad I got a second opinion. My compressor is working just fine and I do not have a free-on leak!! read more

Few years ago we had a small ac fire our insurance company sent out an adjuster and a big name hvac company to give me a song and dance trying to tell me that my outside unit is blown and needs to be replaced with one of their high end systems including a attic Hp. I was skeptical remembered a company that attended same church so we called. The next day a tech came out and informed us we did not need a new unit but our fan motor is bad and it would only be around 300. I was sold the technicians have integrity and our very ethically sound. Gave this company a shot this week in hopes that my A/C would get fixed. And sure enough, it did. But let me break down why I gave this company 5 staawws (stars). So I call and lovely Amber answered. Now I say lovely because she answered with such enthusiasm and a good introduction. She was pretty damn professional. If there was a sport for answering services, Amber would be on the top team and the leader of that shit. Good job Ambros! They were quick to schedule me in the next day and was able to get a confirmed window to expect a tech. On the day of my repair they even called to ask "is it OK for tech to come early?". Now in my head I'm like "fuck yeeuhh come early my damn balls is sweatin" but I can't say that cause I'm try a be a professional customer. So my technician came and introduced himself as Enrique. Now Enrique didn't come to my home all Pisces that he had to work, didn't have a bad attitude or any nonsense like that. He was positive, friendly, and certainly a happy person. Let him know my issue and this dude went to grind mode. He looked at my thermostat and went and fixed a blown fuse. Here is what really made the other 4 stars. Enrique not only showed me a problem, showed me how I can fix it, showed me how things worked and stuck around to make sure it was Alaska in my home. I don't care if this job was easy to him or hard, he came correct. I really insisted on giving him tip but he assured me that he was fine and that it was his job to even be doing what he was doing. I got an estimate from this company. I asked Abby a few questions over the phone yesterday about some other issues with my garage concerning insulation along with the air conditioning. Abby kept putting me on hold and asking her manager answers to my questions to make sure she gave me the right answers. That is fine with me since she was making sure she gave me correct answers from the manager themselves. But: She told me that the manager said the estimate they had given me originally would include everything we had discussed over the phone yesterday. I asked them to give me an updated estimate sheet that put that verbiage in writing. They sent that over today and they added over $1000 for services on top of that estimate I had yesterday. I called and asked them why they did that and that they didn't honor what the manager said yesterday about the estimate they already gave me being all inclusive. I was told the manager would call me back. The manager never called me back. They sent me some new estimate with a little discount but it was still $1000 over what they said was the estimate that would be all inclusive yesterday. I called them back to again ask why they didn't go or what they/the manager assured me yesterday through Abby. Abby assured me that the manager would call me after they got back from lunch. The manager never called me. I do not recommend this company; they do not stick to what they say including what the manager says. They also don't have enough respect for me as a potential customer to call me back. I had an appointment set with them to have them tuneup another AC in my house and I canceled that with them since I no longer trust and respect them. My neighborhood just joined next-door and we tell each other what companies to hire and what to avoid. I will be telling my neighbors to avoid this company. Hold these people accountable to what they say they; have no problem slapping on over $1000 to anything. And that is a manager's assurance they didn't stick to. Do not trust them. And it's too bad because John, the guy who came out to check the AC situation in my garage, was really nice-- but he's working for a company that doesn't stick to what they tell you. I can not express in words the relief I have in finding a reputable company for hvac after 18 years in living in the valley. A quality air not only answered my questions via phone ahead of time as best they could (something every other AC company will not do) they also not only fixed my issue with my main air handler drain being plugged quickly & efficiently but as well took care of a once over on my unit since another company (ace air) did shotty work at an excessively repulsive price ($1200 for a capacitor & fan motor, I was without AC for 10 days waiting for the part causing me to have a seizure from heat stroke and a bill to pay off for over a year, They refused to warranty their "work" if I wouldn't sign up for their service plan, which I wouldn't since I didn't ever want them stepping into my home again. As a single female alot of times we are left to feel like prey for the frenzied commision based vultures in the HVAC field & we are at their mercy 100% in blazing desert summers with animals & humans not able to sustain life without ac... My Air Conditioner (AC) stopped working last night and this morning I call this company because of the only review. They do honor the $15 discount advertised on this site. I was given a specified time (3-5 p.m.) and was called at 2:48 and was told that the technician will be at my home in 20-30 minutes. Enrique showed up (within the time the office said he would) and introduced himself and then listen to what I had to say of the situation. He went to investigate the problem and checked everything. His analysis was spot on! We were quoted a fair price for the faulty capacitor and then he promptly replaced the items. During the repair service, Enrique gave me some advice on how to diagnosis problems in the future and fully explained how the system works! After he replace the faulty part, Enrique checked the entire system from the unit to the air handler to the air flow in the vents. Great customer service! I would recommend this company to anybody. In March of this year I had George Brazil come out to assess my AC units and they said they were in great shape, but when they assessed my AC units at my rental home they were able to tell the capacitor was going to break and it did. George Brazil could tell one capacitor was going bad on one unit but not the other????? Then they try to sell you an annual service program and if something needs repair during that time, you still have to pay for repairs just at a discounted rate (big deal). I will use this company to asses my HVAC units in the future. read more

I had my AC go out around 11pm. We had my daughters birthday party scheduled with a bunch of kids staying the night so I needed someone out quick! I looked on Yelp and seen the reviews so I called around midnight and left a message. I didn't expect a call right back but I did, they set up a time for first thing in the morning. Tech came out and made quick work of troubleshooting the issue. I have worked with AC units before so I pretty much knew what the problem was, but had to work on the other side of town that day. Like the gentleman who responded in June of 2015 it looked like this company is going down hill. We used A Quality about 6 months ago to fix furnace issue we had and they did a great job and a resonable rate therefore we thought we would use them again when one of our AC units went out on a 112 degree day. When the technicians showed up she was very polite asked my wife some questions went outside to inspect the unit and then went in the attic to inspect the handler. After his diagnosis he said we had a bad TXV valve and he would Need to make some calls and will get back to us shortly. He went to his truck and about 15 minutes later he came back and said he had good news and some not so good news. He stated there is only 2 TXV valves in the valley and he can go pick it up but will not be able to install until the morning and the cost would be $900. The good thing was at least we still had one unit which was working so part of the house was still a little cooler. The next day A Quality called and said 2 of their technicians had to go to the hospital because of heat exhaustion and they can not install our part until the next day. At 6:30am the following morning a different technicians from the first day shows up does all the inspections again and after about 90 minutes comes back and says the first technician was incorrect in his diagnosis the TXV valve is fine the compressor was broken. This technician like the first went to his truck and after 20 minutes caromed in and says he has great news they have a compressor to fix our AC unit and they can give us a good price. It would be $2,900 and it comes with a 10 year warranty. My wife and I said can we have a breakdown on costs but the technician could not supply but would have the office call us. The technician left and my wife and I said lets get another opinion so we called another AC company the guy was out in 20 minutes he did a complete diagnosis and just to let you know we did not tell him what the first company said. He came back and said the TXV valve is bad and he explained everything to us and that is when w retold him what A Quality said. He stated the first tech was right the second one miss diagnosed he also said the repairs for a TXV valve would be $325. Allot less. He made a few calls and came back and said there are no TXV valves in the valley and it would take a day or two to get but he said I have another option we can purchase a new coil which will have a better valve then the TXV valve already in the unit and he can do it today and it will be more but still less then $900 and allot less then $2,900, we said go for it. The repairs were done and it cost us $700 and our AC works great. If you are thinking of using this company I would say get a second opinion we feel their interest is money first customer satisfaction second read more
