SUMMWR = it's busy season for AC. Call Sorenson, I am able to get schedule for the next day. They are very professional, and knowledgeable about the issues. Thank you read more

Sorensen Heating and Cooling's main priority is you. Their customer service and knowledge is exceptional at every level. I will continue to refer friends and family because I know Brian and his team will do the best thing for them as they would their own family. ***Our Experience*** Lilly the Office Manager was insightful, caring, and courteous when we initially called to schedule our maintenance last fall and our no cool in June. Alex explained the options to fix our 28-year old unit, including replacing it. The owner Brian called shortly after to help us choose the new unit that made sense for us. He was objective, through, and patient while explaining operations, pros, and cons of each unit. The focus was getting our family taken care of, not a sale. As expected, our installation was flawless with Justin and Alex being kind, professional, on time, and patient with questions. Since installation, Brian has reached out to me to ensure everything was working properly. He's helped me understand and improve some airflow issues without trying to book a service call. read more

This is probably a very good company. I chose them for their good reviews. And they were Prompt and Excellent at Keeping Me Informed. BUT....it felt like "the Hard Sell" with an over-talkative salesperson who was long-winded and without much content in her abundance of words, and she wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise to ask questions and understand what she was saying. Thankfully, the technician scheduled to come out got sick so they missed the appointment (and did a good job notifying me) which gave me the opportunity to call another service. Their competitor (Jaycox) was clear and to the point--allowed me to ask questions, and immediately quoted a fraction of the price to service my HVAC's--much to my wallet's delight. And I just really didn't want to talk to that salesperson anymore. So, while Sorensen is probably a good company, unfortunately my experience with them was rather off-putting. read more

I'm the tenant of our home and just had to write a review of how outstanding the service was! From the moment of booking with Lily to Justin who came to fix the AC, everything was flawless and taken care of quickly along with really positive and joyful attitudes. Highly recommend this company for anyone needing service! read more

When my 14 year old AC unit decided it was done working for good and the temperature in my house reached 92 degrees there was only one company that I trusted to call. Sorenson Heating and Cooling. They went above and beyond to make me feel taken care of and comfortable! Lily from their office told me if I needed anything to call her. And she always answered or got right back to me. She is so nice. Alex was the first Technician to come out and he is also very nice. Justin was so helpful and genuinely cared about my well being. He also kept in touch with me by texting and answering any questions or concerns I had in between him being here to work on my AC. Brian the owner is awesome! He called me a few times to let me know what the plan was. Brian and Justin both followed up with me to make sure my house was cool once the new unit was installed. I've only used Sorenson Heating and Cooling in the 14 years I've been in this house. I highly recommend them to anyone that wants honest and caring people helping them with their AC and heat concerns. They're absolutely the BEST!! read more

I don't know if we're cursed but for our second time, our A/C stopped working on a Sunday in June. In a panic, I searched through trusty Yelp and found this treasure of a company. My call was answered promptly on a Sunday morning and our tech Ryan was out at our house the same afternoon. Unfortunately, he did not have the part on hand and would not be able to retrieve it until the next day (Monday) when the supplier would be open for business again. Story of my life with all the repairs over the past couple of years lol. As my house was getting increasingly hot, I hurriedly made a plan with my mom to stay overnight at her house. Hubby had a portable A/C unit set up in our office area to make it tolerable while we waited for Ryan to come back out on Monday. In desperation, I called twice during Monday morning for updates and I think Brian answered each time. I think he could sense my desperation and was incredibly patient and kind. The hardest part for us was waiting in the sweltering, uncomfortable warmth for 6+ hours for Ryan. When he finally called to let me know he was on his way over, I was literally jumping for joy. Once he did arrive, he started working right away and was done in about 30 minutes. Our house was pretty much back to normal by the time we were ready for bed in the evening. I cannot thank Ryan and Sorensen enough for their efforts in getting my family and I taken care of as quickly as possible during this time of year with the ungodly heat. Ryan spoke to us at great length on Sunday and Monday about A/C stuff and other things. He is genuinely one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Between him and Brian, they have earned a customer for life. They are bona fide heroes in my book and I absolutely recommend them all day, every day. read more

I scheduled Sorensen heating on two occasions to service my mini split AC unit and they kept neither appointment. The first time they at least called. The second time they didn't even return my call. The remittance that was supposed to be sent has not been received. Yet more reason not to recommend this company. read more

Dealing with a contractor when you don't live in the state - and are trying to get a job done for an elderly parent - can be difficult. So many people in the trades seem to want to take advantage of older folks in a way that infuriates me. Having looked at a couple of the bids my mother got for a replacement HVAC system I was wondering if some of the local businesses were trying to pull a fast one on her. In calling around, I managed to talk to Brian Sorensen. During our first conversation, we spoke on the phone for over half an hour as he went into great detail about the ins and outs of the systems my mom could put on her roof, explained the changing DoE standards and how they would impact cost, regaled me with SEER values and how they are tested. Having gotten a replacement HVAC system here in California and gone through all this with Cool Air Solutions, I had a little familiarity with the terms Brian was using, but was impressed by his willingness to explain terms in detail and to assess my options. And he did all this the day after Christmas, a time when most shops were closed or had limited personnel on hand. I was very impressed. I was even more impressed when his bid came in. It was roughly 25% below the other estimates. Like so many others have said in this space, this is because Brian is not interested in trying to upsell his customers on needless services that would pad his bill. He seems committed to offering a great service at an unbeatable price and standing by his work. This is what you need in a contractor, Yelpers. When the install was done yesterday, Ryan was on hand to oversee every step of the job, to help my mom understand the new system and its fancy thermostat, and answer any questions. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. So if you have cooling and heating needs, I strongly suggest you reach out to Brian. His company is outstanding, his prices are reasonable, and his commitment to your happiness is sound. Thank you, Brian! read more

Brian and Ryan were extremely helpful in repairing and replacing parts to my AC unit. Brian answered my calls and questions over 2 different days and was super informative and understanding. I had my Ac unit stop blowing cold with 3 dogs and 2 kids in the house. Ryan came out over two days and worked extremely quick. Super friendly, awesome work ethic and takes pride in his work. I'm sure I could have found maybe someone cheaper for the repairs but the quality is always worth the extra money. Would highly recommend for anyone in the west valley who may need AC repairs. read more

Called last week to schedule a Clean and Check. I can't tell you if Ryan or Bryan came today. Bryan told me Ryan was coming but y husband thought he introduced himself as Bryan. No matter really. He expedited the inspection with plenty of information along the way. He said our system was working as it should and the cost met the quote. We were very satisfied with the service and will call them if we have any issues. He commended the brand of system we had and how it was installed. read more

On a Tuesday afternoon our air conditioner wasn't working properly. My wife noticed when it was only blowing hot air when she called me at work. I got off as soon as I can to try to fix it myself, but nothing worked. I don't know anything about air conditioners, but being a sort of handy man I thought there was something I could do. There wasn't... In the middle of summer I couldn't let our family go much longer to bare this heat inside our home. It got up to the low 90's when I arrived. I quickly searched on Yelp & thought I'd give these guys a call. I'm glad I did. They were able to come out within 20 minutes of my first call, they had the parts available & fixed it in no time. In summary I will definitely be giving these guys a call for future maintenance/repairs. Don't hesitate & give these guys a call! read more

Trying to get an upstairs hvac fan repaired for three weeks. Called and scheduled an appointment. They called back a day before appointment and rescheduled. Which is fine and appreciate the heads up. I Rescheduled for the 10/19/2023 in the am and no one shows up. I get a call saying they won't be able to make it. Waste my time and move my schedule around to be available for them to not show up. Very frustrating and they had no issue with such poor service. Do not waste your time look for a reliable company that will actually show up read more

Our air conditioner went out this morning. I looked up reviews and these guys checked all the right boxes and had amazing reviews. I called around 11:45 am. Brian answered my call and answered all of my questions. He let me know that Ryan the air technician would be out to check our air conditioner. He came out the same day only a few hours later. Thankfully Ryan had the part to fix our air the same day. These guys are great and explained everything. Thank you thank you, words can not express how these guys saved the day considering the temperature outside is about 106'. I would highly recommend them. Sincerely, Heather read more

I called for an estimate and Brian walked me through my options after reviewing my inspection report. He gave me several options and helped me make the right choice for the situation. He also researched rebates to make sure I could get the best value. Definitely worth a call! Great team. read more

Recommend them 100x over! Always get a call back within an hour and they are beyond helpful.

AC stopped working in the middle of the night. Called these guys at 7am and they arrived a couple hours later. Technician was very nice with great communication and explained that the compressor fan motor was burned up. Replaced the fan motor and capacitor in a couple hours and then checked out the system. Cost seemed a little high (parts and labor charge plus $75 trip charge plus 3% for using credit card, no senior discount) but still in the ballpark I guess considering the current economic climate. Overall very professional and good customer service. read more

Sorensen Heating and Cooling are the valleys best kept secret. It starts with Cotillion working me in their schedule the same day on a Sunday when its over 100 degrees, i called all those other big companys but they didn't want to see me till Monday. Don't waste your time with those big companys that are going to sell you capacitors and freon for hundreds of dollars that you don't need. Sorensen are honest and fair, Brian was very confident experienced and you could tell he knew what he was doing. They are friendly safe, the most experienced at the best priced, after all isnt that what we all are looking for. Great job Sorensen read more

Our AC wasn't working...Sorensen had a technician there next day.... The compressor was done...They gave me a few options including just doing the compressor, exchanging the AC parts only, or a whole new system. Our rental property business had been working well with Sorensen and Brian. We finally felt we found a great business partner. They were initially great to work with and responsive. With our continued AC issues, we have contacted them via text, email, and phone for several weeks without any response back. A year has passed since my last review of Sorensen Heating and Cooling, and in that time, Brian and his crew have installed a brand-new Samsung Ductless system for me and, most recently, a quality complete York HVAC system. Unfortunately, the compressor for my 16-year-old AC unit died at the end of July, it was already into the evening when I reached out to Brian, but he had a technician out at my house the very next morning. His technician confirmed the diagnosis, and within moments, Brian (the owner) called me on my phone and walked me through the various options. He carefully explained the pros and cons of each choice, and not once did I feel pressured in any way. I weighed my choices and ultimately decided to go with a complete system swap. Brian had an exceptionally fair estimate drawn up and sent to my inbox in short order. After a relatively short wait, my eagerly awaited installation day had come, and Brian and his technician arrived precisely on time to start the installation process. Before I knew it, they had the unit installed and running, and my house has never felt more comfortable. He even sent his technician out the following day to put on some finishing touches and ensure that everything was functioning flawlessly. If you have come here looking for a quality and dependable HVAC company, then you are in luck! Sorensen Heating and Cooling will help address any issues you may be experiencing without trying to upsell or pressure you into unneeded services. Brian and his team will go above and beyond to make sure that you are completely satisfied with the work they provided. I can say without a doubt that every interaction I've had with Brian and his technicians has exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Sorensen Heating and Cooling, for taking care of my family and helping us beat this brutal desert heat! read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I had too after the great work by both Ryan and Brian. These two gentlemen are legit. They both are knowledgeable about their craft, straightforward and honest. They both do go the extra mile for their customers. Brian will explain everything to you thoroughly. Even if you asked him the same questions multiple times. He even tried to get my sucky home warranty to help with out, but that's a whole other issue, the effort is much appreciated. Brian we'll try his hardest to get things moving for you. He provide great insight on how the a/c operation (world) works. Ryan work hard and fast to find and fix your issue. He's also great at answering any questions and explaining, in good details, on what the issue is and how it should be fixed. His work ethic is amazing. He fixed my evap coil pretty quickly and got us all cooled off. He's also fun to talk with. After my a/c went out I did not know who to call, but after reading the previous reviews, I decided to go with this company and glad I did. I even learned a few thing from the conversations I had with them. i would recommend them and will for sure reach out to them again if needed. Thank you both for your phenomenal work. - Will read more

Our AC had died and been repaired by one AC company but never felt like it was working properly, I decided to have another AC company come out and perform a check up. The second AC company gave me a list of problems that need to be fixed so I contacted my home warranty company and thankfully they sent Brian from Sorensen out. He was friendly, HONEST, and very knowledgeable. He didn't mind me hovering around him as he worked and he pointed out problems and explained them to me as he found them. The home warranty company decided to replace our AC and I was thankful that they used Sorensen once again to install the new unit. BY FAR THE BEST AC COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! read more

Honest, Prompt, Courteous. We found Sorensen on Yelp and decided to try him due to the great reviews and we were not disappointed. I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. Brian, the owner, did a diagnostic on the A/C system and told me what he thought should be done, but didn't try to up-sell me. He replaced our malfunctioning fan and the unit works great now. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will use him again. It's always nice to be able to use a locally owned and operated business. read more

Tried to schedule an AC tuneup on their website online form, which didn't work. No answer when calling the office phone. After 3 tries, finally reached someone. On the scheduled day, we were told someone would call before they arrived at the scheduled time. No one called. Two attempts to reach someone in the office failed. Half an hour after the scheduled time, they called and said they would be there in 30-45 minutes. They instead arrived 90 minutes later. Once onsite, the technician performed the work satisfactory. Only a couple hundred dollars of repairs found. In conclusion, the work was performed well , but their customer service is severely lacking. Had it not been for the 5-star reviews, I would have given up and went with someone else. read more

During an air conditioning tuneup being performed by another company, the technician found a bad blower wheel in my air handler. He gave me an (in my humble opinion) outrageous estimate for the repair (almost $600). He actually tried to sell me an entire new system. After he left, I called around for quotes and Sorensen came in at a little over $300, which seemed a little more reasonable. Even though my unit was still functioning, they got me on the schedule the next afternoon. Brian showed up and did a fantastic job, in and out in less then an hour. He showed me the old blower wheel, which was in pretty poor shape, causing my air handler to vibrate when it was running. Needless to say, I highly recommend Sorensen. They are honest, reliable, and won't rip you off! read more

I really was impressed! A genuine honest owner who actually made a small repair to our filter door cover when he gave is the estimate on a new unit. I contacted Sorensen Heating and Air Conditioning to come out and service my AC unit before summer hit. After several snags with scheduling and finally getting them out I was impressed with their service and knowledge. They were very professional, took the time to explain what they were going to do. After much research - both on Yelp and other website searches - I narrowed down my pick to a few companies. After talking to each of the companies on the phone, I was most impressed with Sorensen. The lady was helpful, thorough, and knowledgeable - the only one with all three qualities. Honestly, the other ones had no redeemable qualities whatsoever and they all sounded annoyed to even explain "what's included" in their maintenance package. Really? I basically wanted them to come for an annual maintenance check before the summer heat really kicked in. We had a rough start. I was cancelled on then rescheduled; I didn't pick up the phone and respond in time on the rescheduled date to let them know it was OK to come so I was cancelled on again and had to wait another week before they could come back out. I really just wanted to go with someone else at this point but decided against it - good thing. TIP: RESPOND to their phone call!! If not, they just go to the next appointment. So third times a charm. Now, I don't like dealing with A/C people. We've had issues in the past with other companies and I always feel like they are selling me something I don't need but when you don't know anything about how stuff like this works, what are you going to do? You know when your A/C works and you definitely know when it doesn't. That's the extent of my knowledge. Needless to say, when Brian started telling me everything wrong with our units, I could feel my blood pressure rising and our wallets shrinking. BUT ... I will say this, he's the only person who has come to our house and explained stuff that was wrong with our units by giving us a straight answer. How do I know they were straight answers? Well, I guess I don't. I may not know much about how A/C units run but I usually do pretty good when I go with my gut and my gut felt like I could trust these folks. I've always been given the run around about why the heck our units leaked Freon and always thought something was wrong that we had to keep getting it topped off every year. Brian on the other hand told me exactly what he would do to fix the Freon leak - something that should never happen to your units by the way, which I knew, but no one has ever properly fixed, even when I asked about it. Even though this visit instead of costing us a few hundred turned out to be a few thousand, we were given an honest answer on our repairs, I felt. Our living room never feels like it's cooling down during the height of the summer heat. Even though we're not at peak heat season yet, I really do feel like the units are all running more smoothly. I guess only time will tell if the repairs really helped but I'm optimistic that it did! So we had to forgo our Hawaii vacation and opt for something closer to home this year but if our units continue to run as smoothly as it has for the past few weeks, it was certainly worth it! I will definitely use these folks in the future. read more
