Cousins AC replaced our AC about two years ago. The price was reasonable, they had to fix the botched work that Parker did and Cousins did so effectively without breaking our wallet. Yesterday, our AC was having trouble keeping the temperature so we reached out to Cousins and they had a technician, Bryan, here within a few hours. He fixed the issue and because we were still under warranty, didn't charge us. Highly recommend and we will.be calling Cousins AC for any future issues we have. read more

My A/C went out on a Sunday and I jumped on nextdoor for some recommendations since my A/C guy for many years retired. Wow. This experience tops any I have ever had. I asked the extremely rude guy who answered the phone, how much the trip charge was. He said $195 and I said Nope, and hung up. I could have said, no thanks, but Im hot, my dogs are hot and given his attitude I didn't feel inclined. He then called me back. I told him I said no, and he asked me what I would charge to be away from my family on a Sunday. Given the inappropriate nature of this strange business call, I told him to fuck off and I moved on. I posted this to nextdoor because as a referral, people should know what they're dealing with. He then proceeds to fight me publicly on nextdoor, claiming to have 'witnesses ' thats right...he said that. Then threatened me (Ill post a screenshot). Bottom line...this place is BAD! Stay far away...or you will be hassled! read more

Cousins Air Conditioning - His attempt to scare me with a libel suit. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

For informational purposes and awareness. This company clearly discriminates on areas and people they service within the Phoenix Metro area. My home is in West Phoenix roughly five miles from their office in Glendale. But they say Im not in their service area. Their website says they service all the bougie cities in the northern part of Phoenix metro. As far north as Cave Creek. Seems odd to me. read more

Mike the owner isnt a great person, his kids will throw water balloons at pedestrians walking down the street and cars with sugary liquid that isnt water. Defends their action and behavior over Neighborhood app and admitting theyre his kids to his friends on the post about the kids. Pathetic morals from a business owner read more

Great company! They worked with my work schedule and let me know when they were on their way. He showed me what needed to be done and the price before doing anything. I will recommend them to my family and friends. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to share our experience to help others avoid the headache we've gone through. We hired Cousins Air Conditioning for a repair job, and not only did they refuse to provide an invoice, they also never gave us a written contract, which violates Arizona law (confirmed by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, who issued them a formal warning). When I asked for an invoice, instead of responding like any professional business would, the owner threatened legal action and actually filed a lawsuit. We never refused to pay--we just wanted a breakdown of the charges before handing over money. We even offered to pay the full amount (plus interest) just to be done with it, but they rejected it, insisting on racking up legal fees instead. The motherboard they claimed to replace looked used, the fan motor was installed without proper authorization, and when we raised concerns, we were threatened with a lien on our house and damage to our credit. Bottom line: no transparency, no professionalism, and absolutely no accountability. It felt like we were being bullied into paying without being told what we were even paying for. Be careful. Get everything in writing and think twice before hiring this company. read more

The owner seems busy but he will take the time to talk to if need be. The people in the office are very nice. I got a quote from them and a few others. Went with them, they offer financing. It went as smoothly as possible. They scheduled a date. It was installed. They offer drywalling part of the process, which is great. They also offer a realignment of the air as well. We used them for an ac replacement which went well, but post installation support/questions was non-existent. They don't respond to calls or emails - I regret not going with another company that can provide good support. read more

I had written a wonderful review of Cousins Air Conditioning when Mike first checked my AC unit back in May 2020... our AC went out, Mike showed up within minutes and replaced the Freon. He gave me a quote for a new unit since ours was over 20 years old. Hubby and I decided it was best to replace the old unti. Mike quoted us a great price, didn't charge us for the Freon he had just put in. His crew arrived the next day, and did an awesome job taking out the old and replacing everything for a new HVAC unit. Pretty amazing when your AC unit works and cools your house in record time!!! I'm august 2022, we had an issue with our unit that Mike resolved in record time and didn't charge us for his service!! I was stunned!!! But soooo appreciative!! Well, today August 10, 2023, we return home from camping, and discovered out AC was out!!! I called Mike right away... I thought since it was Sunday afternoon, that Mike would be here first thing Monday morning. But nooooooo... within an hour he was here and replaced the wall thermostat that had gone out. On a Sunday!!! A football Sunday!!! Mike and Cousins Air Conditioning are just the absolute BEST!!! Do not hesitate calling him!!! He responds within minutes, is completely dedicated to you, his customer , by providing the absolute BEST service ever!!! read more

Excellent service and prompt response. Highly recommended!Got few quotes from different sources and they came back at reasonable prices.

Honest and do not over charge or upsell when they visit. Need to call to schedule a tune up before the heat hits.

This was our Second time having Cousins Air - Mike & his team out to our house It was for maintenance & safety concerns but Mike went above & beyond in his service, professionalism, price & customer service. This time we had Mikes Team out & you can tell their work ethic came from Mike. Great guys, cleaned up, professional & awesome service. Anyone we ever came in contact with have nothing but High Praise for Mike & his team. Call Cousins AC you will not regret it. read more

Mike and team earned this 5 Star review. They were fast polite and cleaned up after! The price was Fair and Mike went above and beyond. Came out on Father's Day and brought out a motor to get and keep our unit running till they could replace our two 5 ton units later that week. I enjoyed working with them. Mike gets it. He knows how desperate his clients can feel when it's 110 degrees. He takes it personal and works his tail off to get The job done. My wife and I both give him our highest recommendation. read more

Great service and great prices! Product is of the highest standard. Mike is the local owner, he is dependable and gets the job done on time!

Mike responded within 1 hour on a Saturday morning when it was going to be 100 degrees He promptly diagnosed the issue and made the repair. He is fair and honest. My first call for A/C repairs read more

I called in at what would be considered closing time in most businesses because my air conditioning had suddenly stopped doing much. I have a small child at home and didn't want to have a whole night without air. Kristen was so understanding and professional, she immediately looked into getting us help. Mike arrived within half an hour and was equally as helpful. He listened to all concerns, asked questions, and did a thorough check for me. He was able to get the air up and running again for me and was a true professional. I definitely will be coming back and recommending them again and again! read more

I sometimes put too much weight on people's recommendations from the Next door app when in reality some positive reviews could be friends or family. My experience with this business was not pleasant in that the technician was unable to fix it, left the unit running so it wasted my electric. I paid the service call and politely expressed my disappointment only to receive a call from the owner who was NOT, in my opinion, very pleasant. I would not recommend. read more

Our experience using Cousins for a service call last summer put them on the top of our list when getting quotes to replace both of our 22-year-old central AC units in our two-story home. We got quotes from 3 other highly-reviewed contractors, and Cousins was the lowest (we would have gladly paid a little more to go with them). Their price for installed top-tier 5 and 4 ton units was so reasonable, we added a mini-split AC to the garage. After two days of work, Mike's seasoned crew completed the job yesterday. They went to great lengths to protect our carpets and belongings, and the workmanship throughout is impeccable. I cannot recommend Mike Jones and his company highly enough - they did a fantastic job at an unbeatable price - I guess this is why our community website has over 194 recommendations(!) from area customers who've used him. read more

How much for a full replacement of gas heat/air handler and outside compressor on ground? How many days does it take to do a full replacement? And does a cutout of the drywall need to be made since the default opening is only like 2ftx2ft? And do they repair the drywall after to make it look as good before they started? read more

Great responsiveness and even a better value! Another company did the same repair on my other unit (main control board replacement) and the repairs were 2x more expensive than Cousins! Crazy, Cousins is now my "go to" for any HVAC needs. Highly recommend this company! read more

My mind was blown on how awesome this company was. My A/C went out today. Called them at 7:45 pm and they came out tonight. They just left my house at 9:15 pm. We where planning on getting a hotel this weekend and wait for Monday to have someone look at it. Price was more than fair and the service was incredible. Don't waste your time calling anyone else. This guys just earned my future business. Cousins Air Conditioning 602 695 0902 5 stars all the way! read more

After waiting a day for my home warranty company to respond to an AC leak that was causing water problems in my garage and utility room, I gave up and called Cousins on my own. This was in the middle of the hot summer and later in the day. Michael came within 2 hours and fixed the problem. He showed me what the root cause of the issue was and what would need to be done to make sure it didn't happen again and recommended putting in sensors to detect water leaks. He also recommended a company to clean up the water. When I had a minor problem a year ago, it took my warranty company 11 days to get service to me and get the repair done. I will be having Cousins do the additional work on the AC for me and will be cancelling my home warranty going forward. I have much more faith in Cousins - they were timely, professional and very reasonably priced. read more

We have used this company for years for our 5 AC units so once again this brutal summer when the temp in the kitchen was suddenly 88, we called Michael. They are always prompt and friendly. They do it right the first time. They are very fair and honest and I completely trust their recommendations. A few hours after the call we were back in the 70s! read more

I'm always skeptical of a business that has all 5 star ratings on social media and the internet, requiring extra due diligence before selecting a contractor, which is what I saw for Cousins Air Conditioning and Heating. When I inquired on Nextdoor for an air conditioning company I got a lot of recommendations, but what was obvious is Cousins had 10 to 1 in every inquiry for the company to hire. Fast forward, Mike Jones, owner of Cousins came out to look at our current situation, made recommendations based on our floor plan and living arrangements. Very low key, no pressure conversation. We hired Mike and within three days (due to our timing) his crew was at our door, ready to replace our system. His employee's were on time, very tidy in their work area and extremely professional. Mike stopped by the job to make sure his crew had everything they need and to check in with us. His employees, Christian, Julian an Sanel were awesome. Cousins exceeded our expectations! We are original owners of 31 yrs and our house has never been this cool. I would highly recommend Mike and his company, Cousins AC & Heating. Its very rare these days to get such exceptional service, a good price and product and employees that clearly love their jobs. read more

It's not often that I write a Yelp review, but my experience with Cousins was exceptional. I'm writing this review because of the exceptional level of service and professionalism, and, honesty, that Mike from Cousins provided. The air conditioning in my rental house suddenly stopped blowing out cool air in the middle of the Phoenix monsoon season. The outdoor temperature was well over 100F and humid. Mike from Cousins came to my house for an emergency house call. Tomorrow's temperature was to be 113F, so I was worried that I was at the mercy of Mike and I would have to accept whatever fix he proposed as well as the cost. Well.....it turned out to be just a couple of capacitors that needed replacing! When a repairperson comes to your house, there is always the thought in the back of your head of whether this person is trustworthy or is this person going to run up the bill. It's good to know there are people out there you can trust to help you and to not run up the bill. read more
