I recently bought my wife a Mustang GT Convertible for her birthday and we brought it to Rocky Top Ford for its initial service. We found all of the staff very nice and genuine. They did a great job of servicing her car and provided a detailed inspection report. We're looking forward to working with them in the future. Untrustworthy - NEVER TRUST or USE SERVICE!!! I was in town for the holidays with my family when my car wouldn't turn on so I had it towed to Rocky Top Ford Service thinking the Ford dealer would be my best option when from out of town. The service department lied and said that 3 parts failed and I would need to replace all at the cost of $2200. (Module, fuel pump and high pressure pump). Im mechanically inclined and didn't believe them. Well I'm glad I didn't, all I need to replace was the fuel pump which the part at their cost was $800+, I got it from a parts store for $300ish a replaced myself. Saved $1800 by not falling for their bs. They figured they had me by the b*lls since I was 600 miles away from home and tried to get me. Scammers. This is the type of service department that gives dealerships bad reputations. I was ready to pay for a pump, but to tell me it was both pumps and a module when infact it wasn't is disgusting and I feel bad for everyone who ever uses this service department as I fear they're all being hustled, even if it's for an extra $50. We broke down on our family trip. We had to leave our truck for repairs. Upon returning to pick it up we had to wait for an hour for the cashier to show up. The service center can not cash out customers. Apparently the employee decided not to show up that was scheduled. They had four customers waiting when someone finally showed up. Two of which were from out of state and just trying to get back home. When they called to confirm we wanted the work completed we were quoted a price that was 300.00 less than what we had to pay at pick up. I should have asked what they charge per hour for labor and then told them they could deduct that from the 300.00 extra they were charging us. A new building located right on the parkway. You will see it as you head toward Pigeon Forge. We stopped here to look at F250 trucks. They had 20 new Ford F250s! I have never seen more than 2 F250s other Ford dealers. A salesman came out and was nice and did not ask for my phone number and email to bother me. He said that they always have a lot of trucks because they sell a lot of trucks. I guess if you sell more you get more to sell. I will check out the inventory line. I am not sure how it will work to buy a truck here as I am not a Tennessee resident. I will have to investigate how the sales tax works on vehicles. read more

We are local here in tn, I have my truck serviced regularly at Rocky Top. I will never set foot on this property again and I will tell every living soul I meet to stay away! I received notification from Rocky Top that I have open recalls on my truck and they want to schedule a time to fix them. I thought this was great so we scheduled and I got off a day from work to do this. I show up and the rude service guy said we don't have you scheduled and told me not happening today! No apology or effort to work anything out, not a care in the world that I rearranged my day to be there! So I simply said "Well this is disappointing!" And walked out! Service department is not to be trusted. They will lie to you and take your money. I paid them 575.00 dollars to change my air filter in the engine. We t to pick up the truck and they said we found another problem. They said my power sterring pump was bad. The then charged me 1900. And change. They said we will take off the 575. But it still cost me 1900. I was out of town as i live in Florence alabama I was towing my camper and i started home. I stopped to buy disel and noticed my belts screaming. I called some disel shops when i arrived home and told them the problem. They all told me it would cost about 410.00 dollars to fix. I called Jenifer in the srvice department and told her . She said she couldnt help me. I said i was going to come back up there and they could fix what they had already charged me for. Jenifer is service manager and she said they would charge me again. Love Fords, but I have had nothing but a run around with this dealership. Called regarding a check engine light that turned on after I filled up my tank with gas for the first time. I was able to read the error code provided by the Ford app. I was informed that I would need to bring the truck back to have the recall fixed. Spent 7 hours for them to tell me I would need to come back again because they didn't have the part. Waited 10 weeks for this part to come in. Now they state the only guy who can fix this recall doesn't work Saturdays. Knowing that this was a part that was recalled you would think they would have fixed it before the truck was sold. Knowing that this part was recalled you would think they would have the part in stock before having a customer drive 2 hours to have it fixed. Only having one guy who can fix the recall also not very helpful. read more

The Pirelli tire website recommended this dealership. My back tire went from 34PSI last night to 23PSI this morning. I called to inquire about checking my low tire, and cost. Jennifer said to bring it in and no charge! She met us 15 minutes later in service. We waited in the TV waiting room, and were able to connect to their free guest wifi. Their bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We didn't drink the complimentary water or coffee, or read the magazines, but all was available around the corner. There is also a Cyber Cafe for quiet tech working and coffee (or any beverage). Jennifer returned our keys and car to us within 30 minutes. She also gave us the screw that caused the leak. Justin patched the tire, but both advised us to keep an eye on it. It might not hold and might need to be replaced. No charge! But smiles and encouragement were plentiful. I gave Jennifer & Justin a two dollar bill each. I keep $2 bills in my wallet to give to special individuals who go above and beyond to be helpful. They are now members of my $2 club! read more

I stopped by and met Michael Bomar while truck shopping during a long weekend vacation. This guy is so professional and doesn't ever pressure you at all. He let me look at everything on the lot basically and we finally settled on one to drive. I've mostly been a Dodge/Ram owner my whole life but after driving a Lariat with the 5.0l V8 I didn't look back. The Ford has the best looking truck on the market in my opinion and with the lifter problems of the Ram and Chevy the Ford is the best choice for me. The dealership made it very easy and didn't try to force me into extended warranties or paint protection that I didn't want and I appreciated that. It's a real small town dealership feel. And after driving the truck home to Chattanooga I really love it and she looks great. Thanks everyone!! read more

The absolute worse service department in all history of time. My 2018 Ford Raptor was under the 5 year 60,000 power train warranty and under a recall/customer service bulletin from 6/2021-1/2023 and they refused to fix my truck under warranty and under recall. Ford is known for their crappy cam phasers, crappy water pumps and crappy timing chains. I asked Jennifer several times about the rattle on my truck and she played dumb saying she doesn't know what it is. There was also a recall on the cam phasers at the very same time I was asking about the rattling. She told me my truck didn't need the recall after they "checked" it. They should have fixed the recall. The rattle was the actual recall on the cam Phasers and of course they knew this, but were negligent. Rodney has done nothing and won't even come out to speak with me about the situation and their negligence. This Jennifer is the worse person to represent Rocky Top or Ford. They think they can get away with their negligence and terrible customer service. Now my timing chain has jumped and there is other damage because of their negligence. Also, I loved going here until they started screwing me over. I've owned Fords most of my life and have had one since 1996 and had another one before that for a couple years. Im in the market to buy a couple new vehicles, but I don't see myself buying a Ford again. Now I also can't buy Lincoln because of being owned by Ford. I also can't buy a Ram, Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler because of being owned by Rocky Top. If you want your vehicle to eventually be destroyed then take it to Rocky Top Ford. Do not go to Rocky Too Ford. I liked it there until it was too late. You have been warned. They do not care about their customers. If you have an issue they will sweep it under the rug. They do not want to fix any of their negligence and they obviously do not care about reputation as Jennifer told me they aren't helping me and that I can tell anyone and everyone I want to tell about this. That she doesn't care. Her customer service is abysmal and Rodney doesn't have a set. If Rocky Top wants to grow then they need to get rid of these two. Sure they are great until you have an issue and then when you have an issue they will not help. They are Bipolar Ford and they will rip you off and will refuse to help you at Rocky Top Ripoff Ford. read more

Here are the specifics: appointment at 10am for "the works", basically an oil change, tire rotation, and multipoint vehicle check. I had been told when I booked the appointment that this would be about an hour and half. I figured that was worst case by a lot.. since oil and tire rotation is probably 20 minutes work. Long story short, 2 1/2 hours later I was told the work was done!! And the price was about 50% more than quoted on the phone. The stench of greasy mechanic/grease shop that was left in my new truck was also a nice touch!! This experience was a lot harder than it needed to be. Form your own opinion. As an added whack, this dealership requires an oil change every 5000 miles to maintain an extended drive train warranty. This is in spite of the vehicle's maintenance monitoring system stating that more than 60% of the oil life remained.... I guess there are more than one way to pay for an extended warranty read more

Every time I am in town lately it seems I have to go to the Ford dealer because my truck needs attention. I know it's appointment only but being here for short periods of time I don't always have that option. I have been there 2 times now and both time NIKKI has been there. She is one of the best service advisors they have ! She has always been kind and helpful in getting my truck attended to. I can't thank her enough for helping me out the last couple times. They are lucky to have customer service people like her. They are harder and harder to find anymore so treat her right. She would be very hard to replace !! I apologize for not knowing his name but I also want to thank the diesel mechanic too. I had a fantastic experience purchasing a car at Rocky top Ford. My salesman's name was Aaron, He was a super guy and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I went there originally to drop off my car lease that was nearing the end of the lease period. There was a car in the lot that I liked so we settled on a price. they were accommodating on the time I could come and pick it up after my official lease period ended. I had to have a fuel pump assembly installed while on vacation back on 06/07/2019 on my ford explorer that cost me $963.44 we had to leave from vacation the next day. they could not get a oem pump in time so they had to install a N.A.P.A one instead. now on 09/09/2019 the pump goes out and guess what its not under warranty through ford and napa will not give cash credit back. so now it cost me $1226.23 to have an oem pump installed. and Cody Allen the service manager is just placating me about being willing to contact the local dealer but when he did he offered no assistance what so ever to help cover even the cost of the pump. the moral of the story don't put any NON OEM parts on your vehicle. and don't take there word for anything read more

He was there ever step of the way in getting the repairs made. He explained things in detail and was great to work with! We were in and out sooner than expected which was also a plus. Our brand new Ford transit van was having some overheating issues as we were driving out of town back to Chicago. My parents were on there way to Tennessee when all of a sudden the breaks went out endangering the lives of my parents and younger siblings. This is not the only issue we have had with this car. There have been numerous recall on parts that have had to be replaced. Now this dealership has all the info it needs to fix the car as it has less then 35,000 miles. This car sat on their lot for 5 WEEKS as they were "waiting on a part to come in." when the part finally came in they went into the engine to fix the part and broke the cam shaft. Now we are still waiting 12 weeks later and have not heard from them really. Fords customer service all around has been a horrible experience. My parents got a rental that now Ford is refusing to pay for. This has been a awful experience since ford has been in my family for a while. read more

Really, really rotten and deceitful service! I called for pricing on an oil and filter change (5 quarts and a filter, regular oil). I was told the cost would be right at $40.00 plus tax. After exactly 1 hour and 38 minutes (can you believe that!) the car was ready. The bill was $57.09 When I complained to the Service Mgr. Carl, he intimated that I was the one lying in that no one in the service department would quote me $40.00 over the phone for an oil change. Well one of us is lying and it is not me! When I asked where my car was I was told it was on the side of the building. I searched that area in a downpour and found nothing. You better mark your tires if you get an oil change and tire rotation. I mark my tires and they didn't rotate them 6 months ago so we had to go back and waste another day. Manager assured us it was an oversight, so we decided to give them another try this week. Re-marked my tires in another spot and they didn't rotate them again. Showed the manager and he didn't seem concerned, but I had already told him it was the last time we'd ever use them. They have a serious problem.
