I pulled over and liquid was spraying everywhere over the engine. I added water, said a prayer, and endured a white knuckle ride along steep mountain roads with nowhere to pull over and no cell service. Thankfully I made it to the hotel in Gatlinburg where the rest of the coolant poured out of the car into the parking lot. I called Tony the next morning after checking out their reviews and he told me to drop the car off which I did at 10 AM. A few how hours later he had it diagnosed as a burned hole in a coolant hose caused by rubbing against the radiator due to poor design. I authorized fixing it and by 2 o'clock he had me back on the road for an extremely fair price. You do not want to pay dealer prices and these guys are very reasonable. I worked in a mechanics shop for 20 years so I know honest mechanics and Tony and Jim are it. If you have a problem with your vehicle in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville take it here. They showed me the oil on the end of the dipstick. It looked like it had just been changed. They said I could wait about another 1,000 miles. How honest is that! They said they didn't want to take my money until it was necessary to do so. They even cleaned my window and checked my tires and placed air in the needed tires without charging. I will 100% be back to get my oil changed in a 1,000 miles with these guys. It can be difficult to find honest businesses or people these days. We ended up having a tire blow out and we went by walmart first and was told it would be at least a 4 hour wait and for one tire it would start of at least $100 not including balancing etc. My boyfriend and I searched and searched to find another shop open and couldn't believe how many would be closed on Sunday and missing out on business until we found Done Right. We called and they said they had our size tire in stock. We drove over there but by time we got over there they no longer had it available. However, the owner Rick said if we would be willing to wait an hour he had a delivery of tires coming in and he would work a deal with us for being patient. So we decided to go and get something to eat and when we got back the tires were arriving. My boyfriend looked at the tires and they had great tread on them and Rick replaced and balanced all 4 of our tires for us for $250 which was half the price of what it would cost us back home in Northern VA. While we waited there for the hour it took them to complete the work we saw people come and go just complaining and yelling and cussing Rick and the workers out and I get that it can be a high stress time dealing with money and having to spend extra while on vacation that you weren't expecting but you can get a lot further with people when you are nicer. Of course its like any shop they quote you a price and as they start working they will notice other things that are wrong and its up to you if you want them to fix them if not. But it is there responsibility to inform you of additional work that needs to be done because if they didn't and something else went wrong then you would be mad about that. Hopefully we will never need work again while visiting the area but if we do... I know where I will be coming.
