So I've been here quite a few times and this place is honestly my favourite. The pasta here is absolutely amazing and they have vegan choices!! The service is fairly quick and super friendly. The whole vibe of this restaurant is soo cozy. A bowl of pasta will 1000% leave you filled up. The prices are also very reasonable (about $17 for the pasta). I highly suggest getting the brownie because it comes out soooo warm. The combination of ice cream, whip & brownie is mouth watering! They have menu full of various styles of pizza & pasta. I highly highly recommend this place. Whether it's for lunch or dinner, this is my go to place when I'm in the area! read more

I've only been to the KITS location but this place is consistent with the great cocktails and pizza. They serve up a bunch of classic pizzas but have some more creative options as well. I've yet to try the pasta but it's going to take me a while since I'm still working my way through they fabulous pizzas. Service is always enthusiastic & sincere! Shout out to Kaleb & Claire! read more

Plus side: Nice location, quality ingredients, friendly service, excellent for families with children. From a gluten intolerance standpoint though, I'm sorry to report that my opinion is a big 'meh' Advice; More content! My pizza was nothing to 'write home about'. 4 or 5 measly pieces of chicken and a few slices of apple, a sliver or two of onion, and a non dairy, (thank you) -pesto. This pizza for about $15 left a lot to be desired. I left unsatisfied and hungry. :( I ended up making dinner again at home. They should take a trip to The Perch or Banditas to see what a plate of food looks like. Even their regular pizza was weak. -Meh! read more

Do not miss an opportunity to eat here. Just to start off the service here is second to none, they obviously treat their employees well as everyone seems so happy almost as if they are running it as a family. The place is setup perfectly wether you are wanting to relax on the open patio or if you have kids and need a place for them to run around and play. As for food, the ingredients are local, and high quality and their crust/dough is the same. What I love the most is their social initiatives here. They have lots of events for families to come cook together an support fundraisers as well. read more

Great place to go for pizza, and great service too will definitely be coming back again.

I've had two trips to Rocky Mountain flatbread in the last year. I always forgot about it but wished I didn't because it's such a treat. I've eaten their GF Bruschetta which is delicious you'd hardly know it's GF. I've eaten the delicious fire roasted veg pizza the best part is the chunky veg, but my last visit i tried the hot salami pizza with pickled jalapeños which was superb. Our server was also fantastic he was attentive but not intrusive. I cannot wait for my next visit I'll be defiantly trying their pastas read more

Had the most horrible experience from their manager Manuel who was working the night we were dining in. Had 3 kids for their Sunday pizza making night and everything was great from the sit down till the very end. We had booked for 445pm to 6pm and had totally understood the time limit for the stay. At about 545pm we had asked our server (who was actually very nice and delightful the whole night) about the dessert that came with the kid's menu combo. She mentions no problem however about 5 minutes after, we were met with Manuel the manager who rushed to us in a very stern and rude voice that we should have known the time limit was until 6pm and we cannot have the desserts in the restaurant - they will be packed and a bill will be given to us and we have to leave immediately (this was 550pm). This was all said without any rebuttal or response from us. We were left in shock wondering what had happened and why he was so rude as we thought we had a pleasant time and the server never showed any problems with us. We honestly had no problem and totally understand the time limit however what wasn't warranted was his attitude and method of delivery to a paying customer. We left very confused with kids wondering why they weren't allowed to have dessert. It was hard to talk to Manuel as he seemed like he was having a bad night and avoided us after. Needless to say, if you have children (and if they happen to eat past the time limit- *shock*), please do yourself a favour and do not come give your hard-earned dollars to this restaurant. We haven't eaten out that often due to rising costs and thought it would be fun for the children to make pizzas and enjoy their work but this visit has been a rude awakening to spend our dollars elsewhere in the neighborhood. To the owners if you plan to survive with the economic times, please do yourself a favor and speak to the people who you hire. The servers ended up being the brunt of this visit as we left without giving a tip which we felt very bad but needed to send the message to the manager. In effect this manager ended up costing the server her tip - I'm still debating if I should go back and just tip her in cash as I feel horrible about her work environment having to deal with Manuel. Just wanted to mention I did give a chance for their management to contact me but they never replied. read more

We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and it was a hit. We had 10 adults and 3 kids plus an infant and RMF accommodated us with no problem. The kids enjoyed the pizza making and couldn't stop talking how fun it was all the way home. The rest of the fam also enjoyed the amazing menu RMF had to offer - they were really impressed. My husband is vegetarian so it was nice to see an entire section for him. Thank you to Amber and Ang as well as the rest of the staff for taking such good care of us. We will definitely be back! read more

Excellent family restaurant in the heart of Main Street...delicious flat bread pizzas and pastas and the kids love being able to make their own! read more

Great food that is high quality, fresh and tasty. It's an amazing space for family dinners or brunches as there is a great kids menu as well as an area for them to play. It's a bit pricier however, I think it's worth it for the local fresh ingredients, the nice staff and the space. They also run cool stuff in the restaurant like meet ups and special nights so check their calendar. read more

Review is for my son's 5th birthday party. If you are looking for a place to hold a party, which keeps kids entertained and engaged without all the planning, the running around, the clean-up and the time packaging favour bags. I suggest Rocky Mountain Flatbread Pizza Making party. I couldn't believe leading up to the party how little I had to do compared to other parties I have planned and felt I missed something. After all said and done, it was a perfect party. Emily the Restaurant Manager was great to work with and Lauren the party lead and her team were fantastic with the kids. The pizzas the kids made looked fantastic and quite big for their little tummy and most took the leftovers home. However they did have room for the brownies and the frozen yogurt which they made at the start of the party. We had a large group and the kids had to be split into two groups at two different times to make their pizza but it was all fine. We brought in a magician to entertain the two groups and he was wonderful and made sure each kid received a twisted balloon. We also opt for RMF's services in coordinating the favour bags at YUM Sweet Shop a few doors down. The kids received a little takeaway box to fill with candies of their choice. Were they ever happy. No knick knacks and plastic involved and I was happy about that. read more

Delicious food, wonderful location and really nice service. Would recommend! I had the benny pizza and it was very tasty

The food was excellent and came in a timely manner. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered a pitcher of Pilsner, All Canadian pizza, and fire roasted pizza. They were all delicious. The fire roasted pizza especially came very stacked with vegetables. There was a child's birthday party going on, which is a great idea for a birthday party. They all seemed to be having a great time. Overall, I would come again. read more

Excellent food from an excellent company! Dominic catered an evening reception for us at a recent academic conference that was running on a shoestring budget. As a community-engagement gesture, he did this at cost, and even though it was a busy restaurant night, he delivered the pizzas himself rather than sending a staff member. All the conference delegates (from all over the US and Canada) were impressed with the quality of the pizzas. Highly recommended in every way if you are looking to cater an event! read more

The place is very clean and has a nice cozy environment inside. Would recommend if you are in the mood for some fresh pizza.

This place hit on all cylinders. We brought our children here and they loved the 3 course kids meal. My partner had the chef special pasta and I tried one of the signature pizzas (spicy calabrese) and everything was on point. Even the drinks were fabulous. Definitely a wonderful experience all around! read more

Snot running out of a tiny person's nose to my left, tears running down the face of a pint-sized human to my right, drool running down the chin of midget behind me: holeee, kids! They're everywhere! It's loud, it's busy, it's a total reflection of the neighbourhood in which it resides... and it's a Rocky Mountain Flatbread location I reserve for take-away only. One of the few spots in the world that seems to have the gluten-free crust down, Rocky Mountain makes a *mean* pie. Just as the Kits location, the crust here is crisp, chewy, and slightly sweet: exactly what I look for in a flavour vehicle. But, the ingredients here are just a little bit better, a tiny bit fresher, placed in a slightly more careful and purposeful manner than the other locations I've been. It may just be that all of those tiny hands in the dining room are being put to work in the kitchen, but everything on my usual Farmer's Market (which is always delightful and surprising - pickled beets and arugula; celery and goat cheese; fall squash and blue cheese) is just so, so good. Like I'm a eat the whole pie in one sitting kind of devour-worthy good. Totally not a spot I'd choose to eat in, but absolutely one that I will get take-away from again and again. Sure, it's pricey, but dammit I just like seeing those tiny hands put to good use. read more

I've been to this place twice now and I love it. To my mind, it's what any family-friendly restaurant should be like. For those who have written reviews complaining about the kids - great, so eat somewhere else. For anyone with kids who has ever yearned for something that strikes a better balance between the painful embarrassment of trying to get your kids to sit still somewhere serious, and the infantile food and TV hypnosis served up at McDonalds, it's a godsend. Firstly, and most importantly, the food is really good. The pizzas are tasty, original and fresh. The kitchens are open so the kids see how the food is being prepared and look into that wonderful stone oven. Some nights they even let the kids make their own pizzas, which my 4 year old daughter just loved. Secondly, the staff are really friendly. Because they're geared up for kids they are ready to interact and work with them. No dirty looks or talking down, just treat the kids like customers. Thirdly, there are plenty of things to do - the usual colour-it-yourself kids menu, of course, but also a play kitchen for the small kids, and board games for the older ones. It's not a place to sit and watch TV and disconnect from each other, but a place where you can socialize with your family. Overall Rocky Mountain Flatbread feels like the kind of place a family could grow up with. OK, I wouldn't recommend it before bedtime if you're still looking to start a family - the company of kids isn't great for those hot dates - but as somewhere to come for a special treat and to enjoy good food and good company of all ages it is second to none. read more

My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday night and had an amazing dinner with great service. The menu was diverse and featured a large range of vegetarian/vegan options which was appreciated! We ordered the mushroom linguini and the fig and brie pizza. Both entrees were very filling and we even had leftovers. Loved the fresh ingredients, some of which they grow in house. Definitely looking forward to coming here again! read more

You have to credit Rocky Mountain Flatbread's way of participating in Dine Out, just order anything off the regular menu which will then work out to be about 60% of the regular price for an order of soup or salad, pasta or pizza and dessert. This location is the "mini me" version of their Kits location, but we found the service to be far more friendly and attentive. Yes, the place is crawling with kids but the kid's parents were able to keep their noise level to a dull roar and keep them staying in their seats, so yay for decent parenting! I don't really like their flatbread. I am used to eating breads without butter or other amendments, but their flatbread is exceptionally bland and it is essential to have a dipping sauce to make it palatable. Fortunately their toppings for the pizzas sufficiently make up for the blandness. I ordered a thin crust pizza to minimize my exposure to their flatbread which turned out to be a good plan. The West Coast Smoked Salmon was quite tasty although the lemon horseradish drizzle was applied more as a downpour so be warned! Overall, a pleasant experience and good value for money (at Dine Out prices). read more

This is the only place in the city where I get really good, not just acceptable gluten-free pizza. The crust is just so wonderful and their toppings are so fresh. I love that they care about their community and the environment and this is evident in their menu. Besides pizza they have amazing salads and decent pastas. It's definitely a great place to take kids which means it can get pretty noisy on any given evening. It is a bit pricey for pizza, but this is due to the fact they use quality ingredients. read more

They have great and tasty Gluten free pizza. They have organic vegetable which they get locally .....big high for me. Now the only thing is the noise, there is a lot of kids, which is fine, but can make a conversation quite complicated to follow. read more

We were looking for a kid friendly place for brunch with some healthy options and this worked! Nice to have a little play area so us 4 adults could actually have a conversation and I was happy they were able to make me a hot chocolate with coconut milk instead of dairy (even though the waiter advised me against it when I asked, suggesting it would be too watery, but of course it was fine). I also liked the fact that my omelette was made with free range eggs and the prices were decent! read more

Rocky Mountain Flatbread - Florentine Omelette - Gluten-Free Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Typically I avoid this restaurant as a previous experience several years ago was less than satisfactory, essentially overpriced mediocre food and extremely noisy environment. This past weekend a friend invited me to the Main Street locates for brunch, so I gave it another try and was pleasantly surprised. Still noisy with all those hard surfaces and the family oriented crowd but tolerable. The pleasant surprise extended to both the menu and price point. The service was also good, though it was also good last time I dined here, so not a surprise. As I don't consume cheese I was concerned that my choices would be very limited at a restaurant that is essentially a pizza joint. There were several options for me to choose from without needing to "hold the cheese"; I elected to go for the avocado toast and home fries for brunch and one of their specialty non-alcoholic cocktails, essentially a virgin Moscow Mule. First the price point was very reasonable, my bill was less than $20. The drink was delicious, bright and flavorful. The Avocado Toast was really good, crispy baguette with plenty of perfectly ripe avocado piled on and well seasoned. With this positive experience I'll put the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company back on my list of local brunch options. read more

My original NYE plans feel flat, however, sometimes the best things are the ones that are put together last minute. This has been on my hit list for a while now, however, their initial hours of operation how never matched my scheduled. I went there for NYE casual dinner with the guy I am dating. I went not 'cause it was NYE but rather 'cause I wanted to fullfill one item on my hit list. I made a reservation a few days prior on the way to Red Cat records and was surprised that there was room for two. I changed my booking initially the first few times over dietary concerns, however, their pre fixed NYE menu allowed for Gluten Free options which was heavily appreciated by yours truely. There was an extra charge for GF which was understandable and a standard in the city. Outside the substitution cost it was $13 per person before tax which included pizza and dessert. Here was the really surprising thing and helpful prior to coming into the shop on NYE. Their on-line menu has the nutritional info which made it easy for me to responsible to calculate and moderate my points on Weight Watchers. A good start to a healthy NY resolution. The guy I am dating and I don't have any kids of our own, however, I would rather spend a family friendly alternative night together than with drunk club idiots. I find some kids more well behaved than bar idiots. Most were well behaved at this family event that it didn't bother us. It is good to see that establishments are making this family friendly so that everyone has somewhere to go. I had the apple chicken gluten free pizza and holy sh*t the crust was amazing for gluten free. The apples were marinated in sugar and cinnamon like a piece of apple pie which complemented the chicken. I am still dreaming of the taste of the pizza in my mouth. They forgot that I couldn't have the brownie since it was not gluten free, however, it ended up working out as I traded my slice of brownie with the extra scoop of ice cream my date was holding. read more

Disappointing. The pizza crust is extremely bland, tastes as if the don't use any salt whatsoever. I order the "naturally meaty" pizza and I guess "naturally" means salt-free and flavour-free here. Blandest pizza I've ever had. After the first disappointing slice I put hot sauce on the rest to make it more palatable. Expensive and flavourless. To top it off the kids stuff came 10 minutes before ours so we got to watch them eat, then they got to watch us eat. read more

Birthdays for the kids are really great here. It costs about $15 per kid and each child gets to make his/her own pizza. The staff is super friendly and they teach the kids how make their very own customized pie. I come here often because it's like auto-pilot when dining with the kids. There is a play area for the kids so they have something to keep them busy before and after mealtime. What's more, who can say no to pizza. The kids practically clear their plates on their own. I don't think I've had to stress out over a meal here with them. The the meat and produce are locally sourced and they stick with organic and sustainable suppliers. Job well done! read more

I went here for my friend's pizza making birthday party! For $25, we were served salads and flatbreads as appies, then got to make our own pizza. Both the salads and flatbreads were super yummy. Making your own pizza was a lot of fun, but the process was really quick (~15 mins?). If you're looking for something fun and different to do for your birthday, then you should try this out. The servers and staff were super friendly and helpful. read more
