Our family enjoyed the best meal we've had so far on our Vancouver trip at Kings Tap, and we're already planning to come back. First, we were seated quickly upon arrival, even though the restaurant looked busy for a Tuesday night. The servers were personable and genuinely kind, which set the tone for the rest of our dinner. The appetizers and drinks came out quickly, and both the chicken wings and calamari were some of the best we've ever had. Most calamari is served with tartar or marinara sauce, but their version came with a much more elevated yuzu sauce. Delicious! The mains were beautifully plated and tasted even better. The salmon had a light, balanced seasoning and was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The steak and peri peri chicken were well seasoned as well, with a seared crust and moist interior. My daughter loved the pasta, too. For dessert, we ordered the Cloud 9, which was perfectly named. It was a banana cake drizzled with sauce and topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh bananas. We're already planning what to order on our next visit because the menu had so many other items we definitely want to try. Had a gals dinner during the week at King Taps and we had a great time. The location is excellent and I can only imagine in the summer it will be bumpin! I ordered a dirty Gin Martini and a couple of glasses of wine. The martini was excellent, and got my 3 olives. The reds I had were also tasty and easy sippers. For my meal I got the Spicy Rigatoni and I added Fennel sausage for more $ and honestly it was one of the better pastas I've had in a long time! Great cheese distro and the sauce was excellently seasoned! Noodles were al dente and the sausage was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to be honest! I thought it might be basic but exceeded my expectations! I took it for lunch the next day and reheated it was delicious! Service was really lovely too, we were waiting to give our drink orders for a touch longer but after that, service was really attentive. Ambience wise, it's similar to that of a cactus club or earls, nothing really unique to it but it's comfortable. I would go back to king taps if I find myself on the nshore again. read more

Haven't been to Lonsdale Quay for awhile so it's good to see a few new places. We came here after walking around the pier and area. The place was already packed at 1130am. We got a booth that can probably fit 6 people but we had 3 ( 2 and a baby ). Our server was great, she was super friendly, smiling and energetic. We got a few dishes: hummus dip, Malibu club and saladita bowl. The hummus and the bowl was a little salty but it could be that we don't usually put too much salt in our food due to our little one. We try to limit our salt as our 1 yr old likes to eat our food. The bowl had a little spice to it and does has a good variety if ingredients. It is flavorful so for others it will definitely be to your liking. The Malibu club was delicious . If you have a stroller, you will park it beside the stairs. Service was very good on this sunny afternoon! The atmosphere inside is aesthetic and clean. We shared the yuzu the tataki with really balanced flavors. I only wish there were more pieces! Loved the ambience of this place. Took the ferry across to the island and stayed for happy hour. Fot ourselves some tummy pizza and beers. The beers were light and crisp and they had some in house ones which are a must try. The pizza tasted good too though it was a tad oily. We sat on the patio and the ambience was amazing. great ambiance, clean, overlooking the waterfront. This place has been open only since may 2025. We were quickly seated and greeted when we came for lunch. The Kona pizza slapped so hard!!! Buttery and crispy crust with great flavors, we added creamy Calabrian parm and jalapeño ranch which augmented the flavor of the pizza. Literally one of the best pizza we've had!! Pretty decent spot right in the heart of Lonsdale quay. Two levels and a gorgeous patio overlooking the water and amazing skyline. They have quite a good menu - from appies to pastas to salads and burgers etc. I shared the Korean chicken with my friend, and then had the crispy sushi and a side of fries. So delicious! Service was wonderful and the space itself is gorgeous. Definitely a spot I want to come back to. read more

My favorites are Rigatoni and pizza; everything is so tasty and well-prepared. King Taps has been open since june of twenty twenty five, and it's already a very popular place in the community. Tonight's visit is a wednesday and we, uh, we're in at five thirty.And by the time six o'clock arrived, every table was full, mostly were reservations. HuhWe were recommended the pizzas by friends who had been before and they were spot on. I had the barbecue chicken pizza and my girlfriend had the bee something pizza. Both are really tasty. We like the crust. It has some oil, but it's salty and savory.And lovely. The bathrooms are a neat setup with a shared sink. And private stalls. They have sort of an open patio upstairs, which was really nice. We got to hang out at lots of seating, very friendly staff. Nice and clean and fresh just like the ingredients they use. If you're down at the Quay, it's very well worth the visit. read more

Was able to get bar seating with my friend on a busy friday night! The interiors were really nice and super friendly staff. We came in super hungry so we got the spicy pepperoni pizza and a spaghetti carbonara. For drinks, my friend and I got the white sangria. The portions for the food was so big, I was only able to eat half! The drinks were so good as well and our server was really energetic. We went on a Thursday night and it was packed but they do have a lot of tables to accommodate everyone. Love the view of the water from this restaurant. The food and drinks were really spot on, and they do an excellent happy hour. I tried the Salty Dog, which is an incredible easy to drink cocktail. Really balanced, I reordered. Wine list is great, and at happy hour - you can't beat wines at half price. Great value. The tuna crispy sushi was so good, the tomato really rounds things out nicely, excellent quality tuna, and there's a soy glaze that is really lovely. The calamari was shockingly excellent. Just salty, spicy, crispy, and tender enough. An easy reorder for me. The truffle fries were addictive, when they first came I was worried they wouldn't be great because the fries are thicker cut - but it surprised me. Our whole table was fighting over them. Again, a very balanced taste, and enough salt. Not an overwhelming amount of truffle, just enough, and excellent quality cheese. The brussel sprouts had an excellent char and great dipping sauce. The meatballs were tender, the sauce nice and acidic, high quality cheese once again with some basil to round things out. Ceasar salad was great - loved the breadcrumbs on it, the dressing was excellent, the herbs made it really fresh too. I love a little gem salad so this was a standout. The spicy vodka rigatoni was delicious - cheese was so creamy, it was the perfect amount of spice (a kick but not overwhelming) and overall a vibe. I had a bite of pizza, I don't recall which one but it had sausage. Really yummy, and the crust was crisp yet lots of nice chew on the inside. Service is attentive, and the ambiance shifts depending on where you sit. Outside on the patio, spectacular views and a summer vibe. Inside, it can either be relaxed casual, or if there's a game on, more of a "bar" feel in the main dining room. Would return, was very impressed with this spot. read more

Me and my friends visited King Taps in North Vancouver for our friends birthday on July 8th. It had just opened and we wanted to try it out as the reviews have been pretty good. The day we went, it was raining so everyone was inside. We ended up being seated downstairs by a window; the place was packed. (I do recommend making a reservation) I ordered the Meatball Trio to start and it was simply amazing! For my entrée I had their Notorious Pizza and it was soooo goodl! My friends ordered their starters and meals as well and they also said how good everything was (I didn't get pictures of their food orders) We then each ordered one of their desserts to share and it was heavenly! The brownie is so good, but very rich! We are not drinkers so I was pleased they had Coke Zero as this is my go to Sugar Free Drink! Our waitress was Fiona and she was incredible! Very friendly and helpful! My only complaint was that is was very loud & noisy! It was hard to hear each other, but this could be because everyone was inside and it was pretty busy! I really enjoyed the food and the location is great! Highly recommend and I will go back for sure! read more

Views are beautiful and the restaurant is busy. We went at lunch time with family and I was quite disappointed in the level of service and poor attention to allergies. If you are celiac or gluten intolerant, think twice about going to King Taps. No gf fryer and way too much cross contamination in the kitchen. read more

We had a reservation, but were not seated until 15 minutes later. We then waited at our table for quite a while for a server. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and meals. The drinks came right away, appetizers were quite a bit later. We had the chicken wings and brussels sprouts which were both delicious. Our mains came and the table was still not cleared from the appetizer plates, so it was quite crowded. Finally, someone came to clear it , but we still had to wait a while for fresh cutlery. They seemed understaffed. Two of us ordered the bolo and we both sent it back. It was very dry and had crunchy hard bits. I think maybe we got the bottom of the pot. One of our group had the chicken tacos which had a huge pile of the pickled cabbage on top. A little bit would've been OK, but there was more cabbage than anything else. Overall, disappointing as we have been looking forward to trying the restaurant. If we had stuck with the drinks and appetizers, it would have been a better rating.
