Brought in frame that was not purchased at store but was in need of screw to hold in lens. Went here as I knew from website they sold same type. Was not disappointed, as new screw was put in without charge while I waited couple of minutes. Next frame will be purchase here! read more

This gem of an eyewear store is a gift to New Jersey- I have been buying my glasses from Jorge and Lara for almost 10 years and I love the compliments I get from strangers about my glasses. It's a joy to walk in the shop to say hello - Jorge always cleans my glasses and puts a smile on my face. read more

I have never been happier with the knowledge, service, and the experience. George is someone you all should go and see. First of all George can help you with what glasses look good on your face. Then he leads you to what is best for your eyes and frames. BUT the best part? George carries through on all of that with impeccable Customer Service. I had a problem with my glasses a year after I purchased them but to George it didn't matter. The care and service he gave me was second to none. This is a place you want to do business with and one you will be very happy with. I have been other places in Montclair and nothing, repeat nothing is better or more knowleable that Rocklin and George. read more

These guys are the best! I have a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses that I keep needing to replace the nose pads in. The gentleman that helped me took his time to find the right ones and even tighter my frames for me. Excellent customer service I'll definitely be back!!! read more

This is a local business that should be supported. They have a gorgeous selection of frames, but the customer service is what makes this place outstanding on every level. I even went in to get sunglasses repaired, fully expecting to pay for the work, and was told no charge for the minor adjustments. That is a level of customer care a chain store cannot deliver. read more

My last pair of eyeglasses recently broke so I went to Rocklin for the first time. In the past I always got my glasses either from Costo or the shops at the mall. Costco offers great prices but their lenses are the worst I have ever had. They got scratched up pretty quickly. The shops at the mall always make me feel like I'm getting ripped off, probably because I am. I had walked by Rocklin many times over the years and always admired the frames on display in the window. When I walked in, I saw that that they carry a variety of frames, all of which are very stylish and fine looking. I tried on a few pairs and then George made a suggestion just from looking at me. The glasses he picked fit me perfectly and match my style very well. The only issue was that the color of the frames was a bit light for my taste. He placed an order for the same pair in a darker color and they were ready in just a few days. This shop really exemplifies what I love about Montclair. The whole experience was very personal and I never felt any pressure. When I go to the chain eyeglass shops for one pair of glasses, they don't stop pressuring me until I buy two pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. George was very friendly, honest, and personable. I certainly don't think I'll be looking elsewhere for my next pair of glasses. read more

Thank you George and Idania. You were very helpful and helpful in selecting frames and the glasses turned out great. You went the extra mile to get me a replacement pair when the frames proved defective. Great customer service! read more

This is a great place to get glasses! They not only have very trendy eyewear but the service is excellent! The owners are very professional and lovely people. read more

Great service and selection. My mother-in-law got new lenses put in her frames when she moved to the area about a year ago. When the frames broke, she took them to Rocklin to see what they could do. Most places would have probably told her she needed to buy a new set of frames, especially since she didn't even buy the frames there in the first place. Instead, they fixed them in only a few minutes, and wouldn't even charge her. The owner really seems to care about his customers, rather than trying to squeeze them for a sale. If you're looking for a new set of glasses, I highly recommend them. They have a great selection of frames, and they've convinced me that they would provide great service for as long as you had them. read more

I came in to have my bent eyeglasses repaired. The owner was so gracious and fixed them for free. Free! I was so surprised but very pleased. The shop is cozy and seems to have a great selection of very stylish brands. Excellent customer service. read more

I bought my glasses from another store, but the frames didn't fit will. I walked in to Rocklin Styling Opticians hoping they would help me. George was so helpful and gracious, and he fixed my frames in no time while I waited for a few minutes. It was a nice surprise on a Saturday morning, and he made my day. Now my frames fit perfectly, and I didn't have to go back to the original store. I'll definitely come back to this place for my eye care in the future! read more

I bought my glasses from an online store and was having an issue with it 4 months later. Came here and George was very kind and willing to help even though I came in 10 minutes before closing. He offered to fix my glasses for a very affordable price. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone and will return to purchase future lenses from here! read more

Very nice people, they fixed my glasses in no time and did a great job. This is the go to place for glasses repair in Montclair.

The woman started out quite helpful but then was condescending about the price I was willing to spend. Was told to "go to Urban Outfitters ... their stuff is cheaper but junkier" And I was willing to spend $200 on sunglasses ... read more

George and his wife have the coolest eyeglass shop in montclair, not only are the frames cutting edge and the lenses hand crafted on-site by George himself, but the shop is super cozy. The frames are also out in the open which is always a plus as I like to try on A LOT of different styles before making such a big decision. But the best thing about this mom & pop shop is that they are so friendly and warm when you come into the place and they go out of their way to accomodate you and make your expierience great! read more

In addition to having a wonderful selection of glasses, the optician was very gracious and fixed my sunglasses without charging me! I would go back without hesitation next time I need a new pair! read more

Awesome! A++ Fixed my dads vintage Ray Bans in 5 min flat and refused payment because it was just an incorrect screw in the arm!

Amazing experience all around! Very nice and helpful. Will absolutely come back! The customer service was incredible- can't say enough great things about them. If you need glasses and are in the Montclair area- go now! read more

I had an amazing experience! I recently ran over my new sunglasses (not purchased here) with my car. I couldn't part with them so I brought them in and they fixed them for me! They are as good as new! Customer service is excellent and when I was looking around the selection of eye glasses was very impressive! I will be going back! read more

Amazing selection of frames and excellent work at fitting lenses. Went in for a new pair and they repaired my old acetate frames--for free! Best optician in Montclair, for sure. read more

We've bought our glasses here since we moved to the Montclair area in 2000. We were customers of the previous owners, Michael and Gail, until Michael's death and the sale of the business brought in a new optician, George Lara, and his wife Idania. Michael and Gail were wonderful to deal with, and George and his wife carry on this tradition. We're still going to Rocklin after all these years because the service, skill and selection really can't be matched anywhere. I like unusual glasses in a variety of colors and Rocklin always has the best selection, from companies all over the world, not the usual generic boring glasses you see everywhere. I have gotten more compliments on my orange/patterned glasses than on practically anything else I own! I have progressive lenses and also wanted my glasses to have the Transitions feature--no problem. Even if you have wonky eyes and need unusual adjustments in the lenses, George can handle it. He's thorough and careful. The service is great, as well. George and Idania are personable (a great team!) and we enjoy talking with them every time we come in for new glasses or just to have an adjustment made or a nose pad replaced. We all like to reminisce about the loss of that Montclair institution, The Stockpot, where we enjoyed wonderful home-made soup for years. (Note to restaurant people in northern NJ: The Stockpot's basic model of soups plus sandwiches, salads, quiches and homemade desserts is a good one, so please open "Stockpot II" somewhere in Montclair! ) But I digress. As you can see, I love Rocklin Styling Opticians and recommend them highly! Buying glasses usually isn't much fun, especially in those chain optician stores, so why not go somewhere that you'll get good service, an interesting selection, plus top-notch lenses and fit? read more

I give Rocklin Styling Opticians my highest recommendation! They have cool frames, state of the art lenses, and amazing customer service. I can't imagine anyone nicer or more professional than George. Needless to say...I'm an extremely happy customer. read more

I love my glasses! George was a total professional in helping me choose and fit my glasses.. His wife helped me pick a pair I never would have chosen, and it's perfect. Together they did their best and worked with me to keep the glasses within my budget, yet there was no compromise on quality. In fact, I already have bought a second pair from George and would without any hesitation recommend him for his patience and excellent customer service. read more

A+++ Absolutely amazing customer service! The other day my frames just broke while sitting on my face. I was using a backup pair until I could order another set of frames and pop out the stock lenses and put in my prescription lenses--the website made it look easy. It wasn't. So I went down to Rocklin and met George--a kind and generous business owner--who helped me out. He put in new lenses in no time and gave me a break on some of the cost. Super nice guy. Great shop. Big thumbs up all around. The next time I need frames, I'm going here! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES! Thanks, again, George;-) read more

Wonderful customer service (not common these days!). Excellent help choosing from their extensive, interesting and creative eyeglass frame collection. I've been going there for years and have purchased over half a dozen pair of glasses - I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. A bit pricy, but absolutely worth it given the payback in time, commitment, and professionalism. You always know that you are not only getting an honest opinion and high quality craftsmanship, but also welcome and friendly help and resolution if there are any issues arise regarding your purchase. read more

I have been a customer of Rocklin Opticians for about 35 years. Why, because every time I have bought glasses there I have been completely satisfied! Every one of my dozens of purchases has been great experiences. Rocklin has the best selection and offers sincere professional advice without pressure. George and Idania (owners since 2007), like the former owners, are warm, personable and customer driven. My wife and sons are also long time very happy customers of Rocklin Opticians, as are my sisters who live in Myrtle Beach SC. David C. read more
