Mr Bergelt helped my wife with her glasses, finding a mistake an expensive, well regarded optical shop made and refused or was unable to fix. He found it in about 5 minutes, took her prescription and In a week delivered the perfect vision she expected at a price I could not believe. My prescription changed and instead of going to a shop that has been my go-to place for years, I went here. The last pair I had made (they were very good) at my old shop cost nearly $1000! Here, similar frames (name brand) with high quality lenses with all of the special features like coatings and no line bifocals was less than $400! Old fashion quality and service with modern, high tech products. I'm a fan for life!

Absolutely no insurance plans accepted here though, you have to file out of network afterwards. I was delighted to see the care Mike took with finding the base curvature and optical centers of my old lenses so he could fit new ones into my old frames. Love finding someone to take such care in making something I wear every waking minute. Shop hours are extremely restricted, it's a hassle to get here when he's open but It's worth the effort, I highly recommend Mike.

They have a wide selection of normal-looking frames, as well as more distinctive choices that the staff will be excited to show you. It's worth stopping in if you want some choices that you won't be able to find elsewhere. My left eye is -6, my right eye is -4, and I have strong astigmatisms in both eyes too. Mintze, my optician, set about looking for frames that had adequate support for the thicker parts of my lenses-to-be. When it came time to pick the coatings, she warned me that the blue light filters would really harm the transmission of the thicker parts of the lens. I appreciated this attention to detail. Really, you're coming to Madison Eyes because you want a neutral person's appraisal for how the frames look on you, and because you want greater selection. It's definitely not cheap to buy glasses here. But it's worth it for making the most of my sight, my most important sense. I'm posting photos of my top two choices from this year.
