While wait times for getting an appointment at Greenspan has gotten longer the past two years (likely due to COVID) the service remains excellent. Recently, I needed an exam and had to get new contacts and new glasses. Would I have liked to have paid less, of course, but my insurance is what it is. I never feel rushed during my appointments here and they also have an excellent selection of lenses. Totally recommend Greenspan for your eyecare needs.

He is one of few eye doctors who look into your eyes via excellent equipment and can catch not only issues with your eyes but other diseases before you or your GP knows you are sick. Many eye diseases are neurodegenerative so catching eye issues early and coaching someone to stop progression through proven nutrition and supplements will also help people fend diseases like dementia, MS, etc. as well as blindness. Dr. Lane is also kind and patient in coaching patients to do all of the right things to have healthy eyes, mind and body. The key is that patients need to heed his advice. Finally, please disregard the comments about the office. People need to focus on the important aspects of medical providers!

I recently moved so I was looking for a quick exam near by so I can purchase frames if needed…read more Upon entering I was greeted politely by the staff who were willing to quickly help.I did not have an appointment but they were ready to set me up with one for the same day within a reasonable timeframe. The Dr. saw within minutes of my appointment, she was very nice and patient. After I was done with the exam the staff helped me pick my frames and helped me decide what looked best with honest opinions. I have great insurance so my cost for the exam, retinoscopy test, 2 frames with a few add-ons was relatively low, $75 bucks. They also have good price options ranging from $29.99 -$179.99 or more. The only downside is that they do not make the lens nor do they have the frames on site and you would have to wait for them to arrive. Not a big deal but I just would've preferred a one and done visit until next year.

I asked them to order the extras that were on my last pair of glasses. They told me that I had anti glare and blue light protection so thats what I thought I was getting. There are messages to my girlfriend where I expressed that I was excited they were getting me the anti glare again, especially with my astigmatism. Little did I know, they did not order the anti glare. I get the glasses and drive home (6 min away(trust me this will be important later)). Head stareted hurting immediately so within 15 min of receiving the glasses I call back to tell them my concerns. They told me that I didn't order anti glare. So I told them that they are the ones who recommended this, and that I was excited about what they told me to get. Either way, a mistake was made, I just wanted to return the glasses to get the coating applied. Not only would they not admit to their mistake in taking the order, they also couldn't wait the 6 min for me to drive over and drop the glasses off. They are supposed to be open until 6 pm but apparently this day they were leaving after the last paitent who was currently being seen at around 4:35 pm. I told them, "you told me you were open until 6 pm earlier for pickup, but now you cant wait 6 min for me to drop these off". They completely ignored me and told me there would be no one in the office by then. They already have some of the shittiest, inconsistent hours in existence which means I had to wait until a week later to drop them off, wednesdays being the only day they are open past 4 pm.

Every time I visited during their hours of operation they never answered or were there. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but talking about a full year of me swinging by and calling them, which they weren't there. Finally, one day I was able to pick up my prescription and they gave me the wrong one. I told them many time I didn't like the contact brand that they were trying to get me to buy, because they don't stay put in my eyes (I literally can't see) and they're double the price of my original contacts. Then they emailed me my prescription. I wonder why they couldn't have done that in the first place. So now they change my prescription, and I go to order contacts. Guess what, my prescription is expired. Tell me, is this office competent? They make their patients run around in circles. Just to deny their claim/prescription and say it's expired. At any point, they could've said, "Hey you're due for an eye exam or this preserciption is expired" instead they got my prescription wrong, were never in office (I called so much), and gave me an expired prescription and waited for me to send it in, so they could deny my prescription from going through. I wonder if I was able to get my prescription properly in the first place, if I would be in situation. They will say it's my fault and my appointment was awhile ago, but all I know is that they are a pain to deal with at any capacity and I'll never go back. Awful service.
