I have been going to this optometrist for the past three years. I was so happy I found them. Their customer service is on a top level. The office manager makes sure you don't have any wait time, always welcoming and always polite. Doctor Elena is very thorough, she explains things and spends time with her patients. I wish I could give zero stars. Horrible customer service and questionable scripts with my glasses. DO NOT GO THERE! Appt call: the office mgr had no idea what she was doing and she did not create a file for me nor gathered my benefits. Appt Day: since no file, I had to give the mgr my name and member information no less than three times in 15 mins. She had a week to get my benefits but did not. Wasted my time and optometrist was sitting right there and said nothing. She behaved as though she was above all that. Glasses Retrieval: 1) they did not get the transition option with my glasses even though it was charged to my insurance. 2) They put a reading prescription on my main glasses and 3) a short distance prescription on the other one. I mean whhhhyyyy? Both glasses are to be used by me for the same reason (I can't see far distances) so why have diff scripts for each? Then they blamed me for that so I told BOTH of them off and used some choice language. I returned both glasses and got a refund. Don't blame me for your lack of professionalism and dereliction of duty. Filed a complaint with my insurance and with the state board of optometry. Seems this optometrist has a history of doing the wrong thing with patients and getting away with it. There are patients who don't know better so it is up to the professionals to do right by patients by dr Elena Vitezon has shown she is not a nice or kind person nor does she care about patients. I am a new customer at Nutley Vision - i called up and made an appointment in order to get a yearly check up. Doctor was really nice and i was taken right into the room as soon as i walked in - even though i was about 10 mins late. I recently went to Nutley Vision originally to get a pair of contact lenses. I decided to get a a glass prescription as well. The doctor told me that in a year my prescription had become higher. Lo and behold when I tried the glasses I noticed the prescription was too high. In order to see properly I have to literally distance the glasses away from my nose. They are also not centered , which means I have to lift them in order to see This is the first time in my life that I get a prescription that is totally off. I have the sense that they gave me a higher prescription just to charge me, given that my insurance covered the rest. They were also very insisting in me getting new frames(which I did not end up getting) in addition to contact lenses and new lenses for my eye glasses, even if my health insurance did not cover all of it. The only thing I can say was correct was my prescription for contact lenses Very disappointing experience over all. PS Other reviewers me Tim es that they secretary is not welcoming to Latinos or people with accents other than English. I got that sense as well when interacting with her as well. read more

I've been to Nutley Vision for eye exam and glasses recently and absolutely loved it. Appointment can be easily scheduled online and the appointment reminder text they send me the day before is very appreciated. I was taking in for the exam the minute I was done filling up the papers. The doctor is knowledgeable and answered all questions. The girl that helped me with insurance and eyeglass purchase was very friendly and helpful. I received my glasses in four days. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Unless you want to get prescribed the wrong strength contact lenses and end up with migraines, or deal with a snarky secretary. The doctor ultimately got me to 4.50 in both eyes in the couple years I was coming here. Moving me from 4.00 to 4.25 and then finally to 4.50 because I had been coming in having trouble seeing. Never once bothering to check the other way that maybe the contacts were too strong... I moved (luckily) so have been going to a different doctor now. It turns out that I am actually a 3.25 in both eyes. YIKES!!! I'm seeing 20/15 now. This is basically just a contact lense peddler, not an Eye Doctor. Do not give them your money... read more

Came in here, asking them to simply measure the distance between my pupils (OD) so I could purchase glasses online and I was prepared to pay for the service but they were outright rude and gave me the the "liability" runaround. Like sure, I'll sue you for $50 pair of glasses I get online. Needless to say, I won't be back to use any of their services. read more

I came with my daughter to this location for glasses for her and for me the total experience with the from this lady Tanya it was very Disappointed when she asked for For insurance card she was very rude and the price she give to us was very high I asked her why and she goes because this is what the system is telling me the doctor came in and give her another note and she look at again and the price change like for 150 lower than what she had gave me in the beginning she didn't even said I'm sorry over all she was very rude I think because she soon realized we where latinas and we where speaking Spanish between us, then I make An appointment for myself and because of snow tomorrow the appointment was canceled I told her that he was kind of an emergency and then I need to see a doctor as soon as possible but she's making everything harder for me to go to see the doctor scheduled me for the following week and hours and I cannot take being very rude over the phone I will not come to this place and I will advise anyone to stay away from here read more
