Terrible place! If you want your eyes checked go somewhere else. I went with my boyfriend and it took us 2 hours for the doctor to see us, and the front desk was very rude and loud (she has black and curly hair). Only the boy who helps to pick up glasses is nice. read more

I have been coming here for a few years now to get my annual eye checkup and it's always been a pleasant and wonderful experience every time. The staff is great - very friendly, attentive and experienced. They have very good, advanced and clean equipment that they use to check for additional/potential diseases you may have (it's optional). The exams are very thorough. Irina helped me out this year in picking out glasses for me, she asked for my style and what she thought would look good on me and went around the women's section to give me a few pairs to try on. She has great taste! :) Just a heads up, be on the look out for additional discounts - I had a discount on my 2nd pair of glasses this year and also got coupons in the mail. One Word: OVERCHARGE. And the send you a bill 3 months after you left with your glasses PAID IN FULL! Do not get your eyes checked there. My experience is they are dishonest. You can find the frames and lenses less expensive price and have someone fit them who is more skilled than a teenager somewhere else. read more

I recently had my eyes checked here and it was great! They explained my vision insurance to me and how much everything would cost. My vision plan would have covered the exam with a copay but they unfortunately were out of network with it. I still followed through with the exam out of pocket and I am happy I did. The equipment was state of the art and the eye exam itself was great. The doctor (Dr. Christopher) explained everything to me and made sure to answer all of my questions afterwards. I also had the contact lens exam done, even though I already wear contacts, so I can keep ordering contacts. This is something I guess you have to have done every year whether you wear contacts or not. I was able to order contacts that day and have them mailed to my house. The optical staff (Gary) was very accommodating and helpful. He helped me pick out glasses. I will definitely be returning next year! read more

Review is only for purchasing Rx glasses: - Staff: Patient, friendly & knowledgeable! I had injured my right leg recently so I couldn't pop into my optician's office in New York by work to check out glasses there. There are two Pearle Visions by home so I called both, with this Pearle Vision being the better of the two! I spoke on the phone with Elaine and Corey, who answered as many questions as they could prior to my actual visit. I am usually a contact lenses wearer so I had a lot of questions about Rx glasses. Elaine and Corey looked up several frames I was interested in, quoted me this Pearle Vision's prices, checked availability in colors, and even offered to order certain frames that wasn't in store and have them shipped to the store before I came in. They explained my insurance benefits to me in great detail. So when I finally got around to physically going to the store, my frames were put aside for me and it was a much smoother process. I also got blue light filter/tint on my Rx glasses but was concerned how it would feel. Gen manager Matt reassured me that I could try them out and if the lenses really bothered me, I could have them exchanged without the blue filter tint at no additional cost. I really appreciate their patience and professionalism. - Selection/Prices: Quite a good selection of women's, men's, and kids' frames, from budget friendly to designer frames. I did notice that some prices for designer frames were more expensive here than other competitors, but lower than other Pearle Vision located in neighboring town. (Not all Pearle Visions are the same!) Overall, I think the prices are competitive/reasonable. - Efficiency: I ordered my Rx glasses on Friday afternoon and they were ready by the following Weds so that is only 2-3 business days for single vision, polycarb, anti-reflective, blue light filter/tint lenses. I am sure it would have been sooner if I didn't order blue light filter/tint. - Overall: Very content with my new glasses! I will see how the lenses feel with my blue light filter. Will update if I need to return to the store for any issues. Definitely recommend this particular Pearle Vision (East Hanover)! Hope this review helps. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible place. The doctor is short with you and condescending. The front desk staff as well. They find new ways to charge you every time you come in. Surprised they don't make you pay to sit in the wait room chairs. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. After all of that I'm not even sure if they gave me the right prescription and I still can't see. read more

It has always been a pleasant experience to do business with Pearle, but they went above and beyond when I fell and broke my glasses this week. I went in Tuesday night with them, and by Friday afternoon I had a new lens and frames. Everyone there always seems happy to see their customers, and does whatever is necessary to make sure they leave satisfied. Find a another place. I wanted to switch from monthly to daily contacts as I'm new to them. I'm within 6 months of my last visit. They don't accept my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. They would not allow me to just try on new contacts but go through the whole eye exam as well. It was about the money and not the customer so they lost this customer. read more

Don't go here. I was there last night for mine and my boyfriends appointments. After filling out the loads of paperwork, the last one they give you is a list of fees. It would've been almost $200 for our just our eye exams and contact lens fittings and this is WITH insurance! I didn't remember these fees from the other location (Bridgewater) I used to go to, so I quickly brought up my last claim and I only paid $20 for me. Needless to say I thought it was fishy so we aborted mission and left before our exams so I can't report on how that was. I called the other location today and it will only be $45 in co-pays for both of us for our exams, therefore I will go back there even though it's a further trip. Horrible. My wife went in for an eye exam and paid $99 for it out of pocket. However, they had not included the PD (pupil distance) measurement. When my wife went back and asked for it they wanted an additional $50 to measure PD, which is outrageous. If you want good service go somewhere else. They won't be getting any of our business that's for sure. read more

I called from Costco, asked if they had openings and walked in! Just what I needed. The staff there is SO friendly and attentive. Due to being a walk in, my waiting time was a bit and the front receptionist continuously provided me updates of the estimated time - putting me at ease of wondering. The tech in the room doing the testing was extremely friendly and personable, as was Dr. Christopher. Both the tech and the doctor explained everything to me that they were doing. The only reason I came here was because my regular eye doctor was not going to be able to fit me in for my exam for contacts until June, but I am happy with the way things worked out. I was shopping near by and decided to see if they accepted walk ins, and they do!! It only cost me my insurance copays for the exam and the contact lens fit. Dr. Corrente ended up changing me from a monthly lens to a daily lens because of my allergies and now I am way more comfortable in my contacts. With my insurance and the rebates they offer, the contacts cost a lot less than I thought they would. One of the guys working in the optical named, Andre (I think), was super nice and helped me pick out a great pair of glasses and sunglasses. It took me a while to decide but he was very patient with me showing me different types of styles and explaining the add-ons I could incorporate into the lenses and what each one was for. He was very knowledgeable!!! I will be returning next year for my eye exam. read more

My three year old was recently prescribed glasses. We were originally sent to the pediatric eye glasses place attached to the doctor's office. There were not many frames to choose from and they did not accept insurance. I called all over NJ to find a place that would cater to pediatrics and that had a large selection for children. This place was a godsend. They helped us decided what would be best with our insurance and took a lot of time with us. We have been back a couple of times for adjustments here and there and all associates have been really great with my daughter. We are very happy with our experience. read more

Bad place doesn't tell you the prices straight up. Rushes you if you cant take your contacts off and really expensive I walk out paying 229 without anything in my hand no glasses no contacts they said I had a problem in my eye which tend to cost more. read more

This review is based on the eye exam, as I did not buy glasses here. The eye exam ($99) was extremely thorough and the doctor (Dr.Christopher) was wonderful and extremely nice, knowledgeable and thorough with me. Really helped me discover things I have been having trouble with for years. Was very impressed with the whole exam, as they do several machine tests even before your actual eye exam. I didn't buy glasses here, at least not yet, because they were very expensive.. but it has been several years since I bought glasses.. so maybe that is to be expected read more
