I spoke to Sierra, who was there at the appointment yesterday and she, of course, had no clue what I was talking about My friend was then told the frames she was looking at, was unaffordable for her. and then on top of that, her car keys were left on the counter, and somehow they mysteriously had gotten hidden from her. it's unimaginable to me that a place that is supposed to be professional that I recommended to her brought her home in tears. Front desk were good and nice. Got a spot the next day for a consultation. They told me to remove my glasses and dropped eye solution so it would be easier to do the eye test. my eyes were more blurry because of the solution which they told me about. So I couldn't really see anything at all. Given this, I got a call and went to the side of the clinic to take the call. A doctor went up to me and said that I couldn't take the call there. So left and went to the waiting area. When I got there she said I still couldn't talk there. I was like ??? Where do I go to take the call? I was technically blind that time cause I really couldn't see given the solution they gave . Then I ended up going back to the lobby. Weirdly enough the doctor who told me to not talk in the waiting area became my doctor. Lol. So I said, doctor I really can't see anything she was stating that there was a sign or whatever but other people were talking in the waiting area too. Long story short I don't think I'm going back here again. I was being nice during the whole time but it wasn't a great experience for me. read more

They always find a way to fit me in for an emergency and the service is always attentive. The front desk has always been friendly and professional as is the staff. Everyone was always pleasant enough, but trying to make an appointment... I left two voicemails and an email over the past 3 weeks and haven't heard back from anyone... I would be less inclined to leave, accounting for covid making things tough for businesses to operate at full function, but last year trying to make an appointment took 2 voicemails and an additional phone call, to which I was told if I don't hear back, I should just try again. So I'm just moving on to a new place. Called a new place and left a voicemail this morning and had an appointment booked out by 10am. Long story short, nice doctors, but too much trouble to book an appointment, so I guess it's in line with other review complaints about the front desk but they were never rude to me or anything.. read more

I can't speak highly enough about Randolph Eyecare especially Dr. Laura Perrin. Dr. Perrin treated and fitted me for a large hard contact in my left eye. She treated me with such great care. She was patient and explained everything in detail that I needed to know about getting this hard contact. I was very skeptical and scared and didn't think I was going to be able to place the contact. After repeated training, even after everyone left for the evening, She stayed with me until I was able to get the contact in place. Dr Perrin also worked with her knowledgeable staff on the best way to obtain reimbursement for this very costly contact. Today, with the use of this new contact my sight has improved considerably. I can drive at night again. I am forever grateful to Dr Perrin and her wonderful staff. read more

I had such a pleasant experience here on 1-17-19. I have not been to the eye doctor since middle school (currently 27) so I was a little apprehensive at first, but after talking to the staff and seeing how nice the facility was I felt a lot more comfortable. The exams were quick and thorough and Dr. Alesi patiently took her time answering my questions. She addressed all my concerns which made me feel so much better about my eyes. I did purchase new lenses, and thought they were expensive, however, if they are great once I am using them, it will be worth it. Nice office good people, very professional, good experience. I recently brought my ten year old daughter to Randolph Eye Care for a routine check-up. The eye exam went smoothly. The optometrist and technician were friendly and put my daughter at ease. My daughter's prescription was revised and they recommended that she wear her glasses at school. After the check-up we selected a pair of glasses on our own and were greeted by one of the optician's assistants. Now, this is when the routine visit became interesting. I was told that they would not fill the prescription unless I added an expensive package. They only sell eyeglasses with high-end anti-glare coatings. So, I asked for a copy of her prescription so I could fill it elsewhere. Well, they gave me the prescription, but the RX was incorrect. I found out a few days later when I received a copy of her prescription which I requested directly from the optometrist. Deliberate or incompetent? Either way, I would not recommend them. read more

I had an amazing experience here while choosing glasses. The quality is superb, customer service fantastic and no one was overly pushy. They suggested the options that would work best for me and I'm so glad that I came here... It's a clean office with staff that will remember you. It's environment is updated and modern and they stock the most up to date styles from trendy to classic and in between. I look forward to having my exam next year as I was referred from local patients that have been going here for 30 years or so. You just can't beat the experience, quality of care and professionalism. I have gotten "big box" store glasses and they are truly you get what you pay for. After receiving glasses from other "budget" establishments that need constant adjustments or remakes. I finally found a hidden gem. Randolph Eye Care truly changed my outlook on glasses. I always figured they are all made the same. So why are the prices so very different! The saying "quality of quantity" is invaluable. Finally I have a pair of glasses that work perfect from the moment I put them on. The antireflective has been the best to improve glare as a work many night shifts on the road. They will offer you the highest quality that works for you. And give you the options that will best suit your needs. At this establishment the quality far exceeded my expectations. Bravo! read more

This place goes above and beyond with such a wonderful attitude .I had a billing issue with my insurance and they were easily accessible and were able to get it resolved .I can't tell you how great the staff is go in for yourself . I've been a client for at least 5 years. Doctors here are reasonably good, the techs are usually great and the front of the house staff is terrible!!! Have been since day one. I went to the trouble of moving my family's record's to this place and now I will have to move again. They forget to order contacts, they don't call when they come in. They don't know anyone who comes through the door, regardless how long you have been a client. Frequently, the front of the house staff are talking amongst themselves and just leave you stand there until they are good and ready. No one smiles. They all look like miserable people. Always a wait. What should take an hour, always takes two. Ignore the convenient location and find somewhere else. read more

After going there as a family for many years we had ta very bad experience recently. After seeing their doctor and getting a new prescription, we gave them a frame we had purchased earlier from them to replace the lenses with a new prescription. After a few days they informed us that their lab broke the frame. They tried to sell us a new frame using our insurance which we obviously refused as a matter of principle. We asked instead for a frame replacement at no cost to us and the store manager (Bob) bluntly refused - not even an apology was offered. We are now going to file a complaint, first with BBB and then to a small claims court. read more

Not acceptable!! Paid an insane amount of money for an average pair of glasses! Despite not being able to see out of them- was told to give it a few more weeks... which I did. Came back in and was told that I had them sitting on my nose incorrectly. What??? "Just move them down on your nose a bit" was what I was told. No! After being seriously stubborn about not wanting to lower my glasses 1/2 way down my nose, they had someone else come over and say they would remake them USING MY EYE GLASS BENEFIT!! No! I didn't use benefits to pay for them in the first place so I wasn't going to use them for a REMAKE!! Long story short... they wanted me to get a 2nd opinion on the script... which I did. They REMADE the glasses as a "courtesy" BUT its the same ol same ol .... cant see out of them. I went to Lens Crafters in the Rockaway Mall and they had state of the art equipment for the exam- I picked up a new pair of glasses today and what do you know??? I can see!!! And... this is the best part- buy one pair of glasses get 50% off the 2nd. So I got a pair of burberry glasses and RayBan sunglasses for LESS THAN Randolph eye care could make one pair. 2 months of wasted time!!! read more

Try to find an office where they are bringing in enough revenue to hire responsible, courteous staff. You are going to an insurance mill office. Obnoxious staff and doctors. Their primary goal is retail sale and not medical service. This is how they rise above their contractual ppo fees. I was there a little over a year ago. I left my glasses in the Doctors operaratory. I brought them there only for examination purposes. I wear contacts and only use them for emergencies (i.e. infections). These were $300.00 glasses. A day or two after my appt. the staff called me and told me to pick up my glasses. I asked them to mail them and offered up to $25 for them to do that. I told them that I work and it was hard for me to get back there. They refused to mail. They insured me they would labeled and kept safe. They have now contacted me about 5 times for a recall appt. When I went to appoint, I inquired about getting my glasses and I was rudely told they didn't have them. I asked for the doctor to call and he didn't. I was referred many times to their eye retail unit. I told them I never went there to purchase. They refuse to handle my issue and the doctors refuse to call or take any responsibility for my loss. I have called twice and have been rudely spoken to both times. I should have at minimum been called with a warning before they discarded my valuable eyeglasses. read more

Having gone here for a few years I can say that the Drs. are nice. However, when I want to get contacts I usually get the "Oh you had a contact exam. That will be another X amount of dollars." When I asked if they would match places like 1-800-contacts I was told no. But my biggest gripe is that I went in because of a torn contact and part was still in my eye. I saw the Dr. for less than 5 minutes and she used a dye to find and remove it. They charged me with a $50 co-pay which I was cool with but then they billed my insurance company another $350 for eye surgery. I found that to be outrageous considering the $50 I already paid for less than 5 minutes of time especially since it was not eye surgery. read more

My husband picked up his new glasses today and was very unhappy when he put them on. The employee was quite upset and was pretty much yelling at him about where he wears his glasses on his nose - his co-worker (possibly one of the owners) came over and was so rude - she was talking loudly right into his face. He used his insurance but still had to pay over $300. just for lenses. They have lost us as customers - they are highly overpriced and obviously the service is poor. read more

Brian B. was spot on with his review of October 2015. I recently had my eye exam at Randolph Eyecare Center and then browsed for frames. I was amazed that, with insurance, eye glasses with the frames I selected (good but not great selection) would cost me $560. Without insurance the same glasses at this location would have been $910. So take your perscription elsewhere as Brian suggested (and I did). I got 2 pairs of progressive lens glasses and 1 pair of progressive lens sunglasses for only $100 more than the one pair for $560. And, I still can file insurance to save another $75 so net-net is I am going to get 3 pairs of glasses for the price of 1 at Randolph Eyecare Center. And, I went to a store with a much better selection of frames in a broader price range. read more

In Nov. 2018 I went to this place with a copy of my current eyeglasses' Rx. My intention was to get pricing for new lenses put into my existing frames. I was quoted a price of $585 for the lenses, if I had vision insurance, and, if I didn't have insurance, a 20% discount would be extended to me off of the $585 price. That in itself sounded dishonest and unethical, further, the price seemed way out of line. I went to the brick and mortar store in Westfield, NJ of a popular online eyeglass retailer. With frames and my prescription, they quoted me a price of $346-again, with new frames. Trouble was, I didn't like any of the frames they offered and they wouldn't put their lenses into my existing frames. What to do? I sat for a few weeks then got an unsolicited card from a California lens place. The gig was to send them your frames along with your prescription and they'd install new lenses-with the same two standard lens coatings as Randolph Eyecare Center. The cost? $187 less a 20% discount. You do the arithmetic. They even sent me a 1 day priority USPS call tag for mailing my frames. I am thrilled with my new lenses. Don't you dare tell me that Randolph Eyecare Center's lenses would have been "better" quality. This place should close, now. read more

Love my new glasses. They were a splurge as they were much more than I wanted to spend. The doctors are great. Dr. Donald Walker is the nicest and Dr. Perrin is so sweet. The rest of the staff is wonderful except for the store manager/optician. He has no people skills and is very rude. I stopped going here years ago because of him. But, years later, I decided I'd give Randolph Eye Care Center another try since they now accept my new insurance. Big mistake. The optician is STILL there and of course, I had to deal with him. I was once again berated when I brought up some concerns with my new glasses and the headaches I was having. I spent a lot of money on my glasses to have to be spoken to this way. Even if I had spent little money, I shouldn't have to be spoken to this way. No one should. Sad to say, because I do love the rest of the staff, they have lost me as a customer for good this time. In fact, someone in my family had an upcoming appointment with this place, but I will be cancelling this appointment as I don't need my family spoken to this way. read more

I can't say enough good things about the doctors and staff at Randolph Eyecare. They are professional, knowledgeable, and most of all they make you feel welcome. My experience with them has been so good I would recommend them to anyone. They helped me with a problem I was having. During the whole process they were patient and supportive. The doctors are very friendly, professional and helpful. However i had a bad experience with a blonde receptionist as she was quite rude and then the technician was very curt with me.
