I have been going to Dr. Millman since I was a kid. My parents went to see his father. Two generations of excellent eye doctors.

BEWARE!! talk about discrimination !! DO NOT EVER go to this place!! horrible experience for my…read morefriend who speak Spanish that went there yesterday. SHE WAS MADE FUN OF BECAUSE SHE SPOKE SPANISH!! I spoke to Sierra, who was there at the appointment yesterday and she, of course, had no clue what I was talking about My friend was then told the frames she was looking at, was unaffordable for her. and then on top of that, her car keys were left on the counter, and somehow they mysteriously had gotten hidden from her. it's unimaginable to me that a place that is supposed to be professional that I recommended to her brought her home in tears. I pray this does not happen to anybody else because nobody should have to be treated this way. Lesson learned.

Front desk were good and nice. Got a spot the next day for a consultation…read more They told me to remove my glasses and dropped eye solution so it would be easier to do the eye test. my eyes were more blurry because of the solution which they told me about. So I couldn't really see anything at all. Given this, I got a call and went to the side of the clinic to take the call. A doctor went up to me and said that I couldn't take the call there. So left and went to the waiting area. When I got there she said I still couldn't talk there. I was like ??? Where do I go to take the call? I was technically blind that time cause I really couldn't see given the solution they gave . Then I ended up going back to the lobby. Weirdly enough the doctor who told me to not talk in the waiting area became my doctor. Lol. So I said, doctor I really can't see anything she was stating that there was a sign or whatever but other people were talking in the waiting area too. Long story short I don't think I'm going back here again. I was being nice during the whole time but it wasn't a great experience for me.

My mother, my sister, and I visited this location yesterday to purchase eyeglasses for my mother…read more We are African-American, and our experience raised serious concerns about discriminatory treatment. Almost immediately after the initial greeting, we were asked whether my mother had insurance -- not once, but multiple times. The question quickly shifted to, "What type of insurance is it?" We were initially assisted by someone who appeared to be in training, and then another employee came over and asked the exact same question again. The repeated focus on insurance happened before anyone took the time to ask what my mother was looking for or offer meaningful assistance with frames. While my mother was trying on glasses, another non-white family entered the store. After their greeting, they too were immediately asked what type of insurance they had. At that point, it became difficult to ignore the pattern. Shortly afterward, a Caucasian woman walked in, and the difference in tone and approach was striking. She was warmly asked what brought her in, what styles she preferred, and was engaged in friendly conversation. We did not hear her being questioned about insurance upfront in the same persistent manner. Insurance is a normal part of the purchasing process. However, when customers of color are immediately and repeatedly questioned about insurance, while a white customer is approached with warmth and general service questions first, it raises legitimate concerns about racial bias. The disparity in treatment felt discriminatory. For context, we spent $900 on two pairs of frames. Despite making a significant purchase, the service we received did not reflect respect or equal treatment. We will not be returning to this location under any circumstances, nor would we recommend it. Management should seriously evaluate how implicit bias may be influencing customer interactions. Every customer deserves equitable treatment.

While the doctor's office in Pearle vision is great the optical department is absolutely horrible…read more I always have issues when dealing with them. Very rude and unprofessional and not helpful at all. All they want is you to spend more money. I would never purchase anything from them ever again. Horrible experience.

This man was the dictionary definition of mansplaining. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and…read morehe patted my leg and told me I didn't know anything. Didn't let me finish a single sentence and took my glasses away when I was asked to take out my contacts for the eye exam. And also gave me the wrong prescription. I got firm when he tried to take my glasses because I am legally blind and can't see anything without them, so I need them as security. He just said that I was making his job difficult. Unfortunately, I have to go back in a week so he can look again, even though I know what my new prescription should be. This is not my first rodeo. But they won't release the prescription until I drive there for another visit. And he even tried to get me to turn in my old optomitrest because of a wrong prescription, which was actually right for the last few years, just changed in the last few months, thus the visit. 0/10 - would not recommend

This is the worst optometrist I have ever been to and I have been to a lot in the past 30 years…read more 1. They gave me the wrong prescription. They told me my prescription had changed significantly so I bought new glasses to the tune of over $500. I would not have bought them if I had known my prescription had not changed. 2. I told them when I made the appointment that I lived in new Hampshire and asked if they could do it in one visit. they said yes. at the appointment they told me they legally had to see me for a follow up and wouldn't give me a contact lens prescription. 3. I had to go to an optometrist in new Hampshire to fix their mistakes..he told me that my eyes had not changed (what I already knew because the trial lenses made my eyes worse). 4. when I called them to complain their excuse was that it was a replacement optometrist and they could have me come back in to redo the exam. I asked for a refund since I had to go see someone else and wouldn't have bought the glasses if I had known my prescription hadn't changed. they refused. This is a scam shop. they are all about getting your money and not about helping you actually see better. do not go here if you want to be able to see.
