This man was the dictionary definition of mansplaining. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and he patted my leg and told me I didn't know anything. Didn't let me finish a single sentence and took my glasses away when I was asked to take out my contacts for the eye exam. And also gave me the wrong prescription. I got firm when he tried to take my glasses because I am legally blind and can't see anything without them, so I need them as security. He just said that I was making his job difficult. Unfortunately, I have to go back in a week so he can look again, even though I know what my new prescription should be. This is not my first rodeo. But they won't release the prescription until I drive there for another visit. And he even tried to get me to turn in my old optomitrest because of a wrong prescription, which was actually right for the last few years, just changed in the last few months, thus the visit. 0/10 - would not recommend read more

This is the worst optometrist I have ever been to and I have been to a lot in the past 30 years. 1. They gave me the wrong prescription. They told me my prescription had changed significantly so I bought new glasses to the tune of over $500. I would not have bought them if I had known my prescription had not changed. 2. I told them when I made the appointment that I lived in new Hampshire and asked if they could do it in one visit. they said yes. at the appointment they told me they legally had to see me for a follow up and wouldn't give me a contact lens prescription. 3. I had to go to an optometrist in new Hampshire to fix their mistakes..he told me that my eyes had not changed (what I already knew because the trial lenses made my eyes worse). 4. when I called them to complain their excuse was that it was a replacement optometrist and they could have me come back in to redo the exam. I asked for a refund since I had to go see someone else and wouldn't have bought the glasses if I had known my prescription hadn't changed. they refused. This is a scam shop. they are all about getting your money and not about helping you actually see better. do not go here if you want to be able to see. read more

My office relocated me to an office near this mall and after being recommended by a co-worker, decided to check it out. I couldn't be more happy. The experience was fast and friendly. The doctor was very pleasant and nailed my prescription Then Gary, the manager, helped me find the glasses that you can see in my Yelp pictures (check my profile). I described the look and he read my mind. The service was seriously spot-on and Gary even worked with me on the price (making sure it fit my budget and even chopping off a few bucks). They promised to get my glasses done in an hour. I decided in the meantime to get a pair of contacts. By the time I decided on the pair of contacts, my glasses had already been waiting for me with a leather glass and a cleaning cloth. This is the type of place that prides themselves on customer service and I'm happy to help them back by recommending it here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I have never thought in a million years that I would be complaining about an eye appointment. My daughter wanted to try contacts and I was told it is $130. fee ON TOP of the exam to take a class on using contacts, and that it was STATE LAW. I've never been a contacts wearer and believed them until I called another place and found out it is included in the price of the exam. To make matters worse, the "Dr." was taking cell phone calls and texts during the exam. I also found him dismissive, and condescending. I decided to ask for our prescriptions and fill them elsewhere. I knew immediately that I would not give that sham of a business a penny more of my money. It is disgusting to treat people this way. if I could have rated no stars, I would have. I was in a pinch and my glasses fitted with magnification had the temple arm snapped off. I had to use them for an exam in a week and I was desperate for a quick fix. Nuhi knew about my glasses and offered me many options. He explained the limitations of going with a quick fix and addressed my problems right away. He got me my glasses fixed in 30 minutes. I will never go anywhere else for glasses or contacts! The owner and staff are so kind and patient and make you feel like family. I just got fitted for contacts and because normally wear bifocals, we tried a few different prescriptions and combinations of lenses. I was so impressed with the doctor's patience and dedication to getting the right result. Worst optical center on the planet. First off I had an appointment for eye and contact lense fitting exam. The doctor if he is really one. Rushes me into a filthy back room does the eye exam and rushes me out of the room. While waiting for someone to tell me when the con act lense fitting is going to happen they say so ok this is your balance? I had to tell them he didn't do a contact fitting, nor did he give me my rx for my eye exam. Well that's when the attitude started from the doctor and employees. They are good when it comes to selling first time, all great, but as soon as you start having problem with your frame, Gary, Manager will go to any extend to make sure you never put step in their store by having irresponsive customer treatment. I had to replace my sunglasses under warranty and when I dropped in glasses, I requested to have them available by next week (Because I was relocating to other state) but their story was it is back ordered and can not be made available, I was offered to ship it to new address. then after month today I was asked to pay shipping charge to get my glasses which was never informed earlier. Amazing service, very reasonably priced, and I loooove my new sunglasses!! I have friends and family in NJ who always recommended I come here for my next set of glasses and since I was visiting for a week I figured I'd give them a try. I desperately needed a new pair of sunglasses (my dog destroyed my last pair) and even though I felt my vision was perfect with my current glasses I made an appt since it's been a while since my last exam. The Doctor was awesome! Very thorough and to my surprise, honest! I always expect a change to force me to get a new pair, but he actually agreed that I had no change. I'm super picky when it comes to picking frames, but I was helped by Gary who was very patient and found me the perfect Prada! He went over the options for the lenses and when it came time for price, I was pleasantly surprised. The optical I've been going to for years in VA typically charged me a hundred more for the same lenses! A few days later I got the call and went to pick them up. A super nice woman named Tami helped me and was able to adjust them perfectly! (I have an eyebrow higher than the other so they never seem to sit right) A case, Prada bag, and a few cleaning cloths later and I was all set. I have been going to this store for my glasses for several years, when my husband needed new glasses I recommended Sterling. The Doctor that gave him an eye examination was not only very professional, he also picked up a problem with his eyes that his previous eye doctor didn't see. Thanks to Sterling Optical, my husband is now being treated for early stage Macular Degeneration. Not only did Sterling pick this up, but they also recommended a specialist for him to go to to be treated. They also told us that this was a physical problem and that our regular health insurance would cover the treatments. It is now two years after that visit and we thank Sterling Optical for saving my husbands vision. read more

He treats you like a fast food take out order, I went in to pick up my brand new$400 glasses, he waited for me to put them on and said "good" and walked away. They got one star because I couldn't put none! The office staff requested glasses thAT I did not. I reqquested bifocals but instead filled reading glasses and because of that i cant get the proper glasses for another year. Since I cant drive my daughter misses school. when asked for the person who put in the request which was wrong I wanted to put in a complaint with insurance company) I was told hIPPA laws prevent them from giving me the information. UMMM i thought it was MY RECORDS! SO because they screw up I cant get glasses. Thanks alot. If you have Davis vision as your eve glass insurance DO NOT GO TO STERLING OPTICAL! BTW this is not the first time they screwed things up. IT happened twice before a few years ago. 3 Strikes and you are out!!! This is medicaid insurance (who btw are great and very helpful). If you notice STerling is terrible for people with this kind of insurance. We are not as important as people with better insurance or who are willing to spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Unfortunately being disabled and on a crap income of 800 a month to support my kid on i do not have that option. SO I hope everyone with Davis vision goes somewhere else and do not have to go through what I did. I think they made the claim with my insurance just so they could get money. SHame on you read more
