Despite being in a dying mall the people here are quite nice. Service was friendly and they ran through the options for my new glasses. They will soon move to the Short Hills Mall and I will be glad to patronize them there. read more

The eye doctor Dr. Pong is excellent - she takes the time to explain the exam and has great advice. The support staff is also very helpful. It's a small office so i'm sure it can get crowded. i just went today so my review is current. read more

Booked online and was able to get an appointment in for the next day for my 2 girls. Which was perfect! Staffing was okay.. seemed a lil off with customer service. Because of their uncertainty when I asked about insurance coverage. Nonetheless.. was in and out very quickly for both appointments and paid. Waited about 30 mins for my prescriptions, when I inquired about it at the desk, representative said "oh I gave it to the floor representative". I said why when you said you'll bring it out to me and that's what I just paid you for. Very annoying, because I did not plan on buying glasses from Lens Crafter only went for the eye exams. Just hated I paid for something and he gave my prescription to another worker without informing me and the other worker did not even come up to say I have your prescriptions if you would like to purchase frames and glasses from us. read more

Today, I went to LensCrafters in the Livingston Mall and had a great experience getting glasses for my son. Ken Testa was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Thanks, Ken. read more

I had spent thousands here with the optometrist and the glasses side and a year later, they can't even return my call. I spent time over a 2 month period chasing a call back, and by the time I got through to anyone, the prescription expired. Useless service and staff, lousy customer service. They caused a problem and of course, want me to do another exam. Never ever with this Livingston group, and I'm not setting foot in a lens crafters anywhere again. Just don't do it. read more

I am a 75 year old who came for an eye exam and new glasses for my disabled son and the ophthalmologist Shah was arrogant and rude. I had scheduled an appointment during the middle of the workweek when there were a lot of open appointment slots so as best to ensure a smooth visit. The retail staff were very nice but I will never go back. read more

Juveria and Hatim are amazing! The service is amazing, quick and transparent. I've never had an issue with LensCrafters in all the time I've shopped there. read more

LensCrafters - Glasses with LensCrafters lenses - Optometrists Near Me - Livingston, New Jersey

I recently had to go back to Lens Crafters to order a new pair of glasses. Juveria, one of the managers came over to assist me. She instantly began to help me, not only with the insurance portion, which I expected but saving me quite a bit of time and money in the process. I was thrilled!! I bought great glasses and received great service. Thanks Lens Crafters . DM read more

I had to wait nearly 6 weeks for my eyeglasses. I brought 2 old frames to have my new prescription lens put in. Two weeks after I dropped off my old frames, I received a call saying they broke one pair of my frames. I went in to pick a pair for replacement. At that time, I was told they lost the broken pair as well losing as my 2nd pair of frames. So, the manager told me to pick 2 pairs of frames regardless of the cost. Which I did. I was told even if they found my old glasses they would still give me the 2 free pair. Well 6 weeks later, they found my original frames and tried not to honor the agreement about the free frames. read more

I took my family there for eye exams, while the medical staff was kind and courteous, the retail dept. is a major disappointment, my daughter's and wife's glasses were done but they broke my frames and after three week just told me about today. Now they want me to pick out another set of frames free of charge of but now I have to wait another two to three weeks to receive my glasses. I do not recommend going to them for business, I had better luck going to get my glasses from BJ's smh‍ read more

It is the worse eye doctor and eye glass store I went to in recent years. The doctor refused to give regular eye exam that is fully covered by insurance. You will have to promise to pay extra $$ exam fee and buy expensive glasses from the store before she agrees to do the exam. It seems to be a very greedy place. So stay away if possible. read more

Went in to have a new pair of glasses made on 9/12/19, didn't get any call from them until I called on 9/21. Was informed the frame is out of stock!!!! Not sure when it will be available. They should have called me when they know there is no stock!!! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! Lenscrafters upsold my 90 year old mother the top of the line Varilux lenses. Her lenses cost over $500, and the glasses in total were close to $700. I don't even pay those prices, and I live in NYC! My mother has had bifocals her entire life, she doesn't need Varliux, no less the most expensive lenses. I wanted to cancel the order, it had only been a few hours since it was placed. They said the glasses have to come in first and then they will send them back. That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard! Now, my mother has to wait even longer to get her glasses. They said I should have come in with her. Obviously, I would have if that were an option. I asked to speak to the manager. I was on hold for a while and then the sales person returned to the line. She said the manager is on a conference call and can't talk, but that my mother agreed to the lenses. Of course she did, she doesn't know any better! She trusted the salesperson to guide her. Reading all the negative reviews, it is clear they practice bad business. read more

Been a customer for over 15 years with Dr. Patel and LensCrafters Livingston mall. Always a good experience with them.

My husband and I went to this location for eye checkup. Dr. Patel is extremely nice and friendly. Sales associates Maria and Joseph were very friendly and helpful. They did a great job helping us pick out our glasses. read more

Disgusting attitudes from the employees. So rude and condescending especially from the woman named Rebecca, I believe. My mom wanted to do an exchange for the glasses and every pair we picked out that my mom actually liked, she made a snarky remark in response. We kept picking different ones and she seemed to get extremely irritated and then began to speak to the other employee in another language, most likely insulting us. We immediately left the store because we didn't think they deserved our business. We went back to our home location in East Hanover and were welcomed back in such a friendly manner and they addressed the issue and apologized on behalf of the rude staff here at Livingston. I recommend everyone to avoid this location at all costs and take the trip to the next town over to East Hanover for the LensCrafters, where you'll be treated with respect and kindness. read more

1) My name was spelled wrong on the prescription (both the first and last name spelled incorrectly) 2) The optometrist will refuse to give you the P.D. distance. Despite paying for an eye exam, and directly asking the optometrist, she was told she was not able to do this. This is essentially a scam to force you to purchase eye glasses from Lenscrafters. Many others also feel this way: see below https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/338897-lenscrafters-class-action-says-eyewear-prescription-info-withheld/ 3. The glasses are far more expensive than purchasing directly online (exact same glasses). 4. My advice is head to a reputable store who is confident in their products and prices with competent optometrists who are there to help you purchase eye glasses from anywhere. Consider obtaining your eye exam from Warby Parker, Costco, etc, and you can take a full prescription, including the P.D., anywhere, including online. read more

Doctors here are BAD. Bad! Bad! You have no choice to have a follow-up appointment with the same doctor. Business and MONREY talk only. Customer service is very poor, not friendly staff. Would NEVER come back. Eek! read more

Spanish lady with curly hair, glasses, grey shirt with a white cardigan working today September 25 at 2:47 PM is a rude BITCH. My father purchased frames exactly a week ago and it became loose and started to fall off. She has a very bad attitude and acts very entitled. From the beginning she came off like my concerns were a waste of her time. Management needs to do better with the hiring process. read more

The stars are for Dr Patel she is awesome, as well her registration staff here very sweet. But when it comes to the areas of frame selection it really really sucks, I understand that every customer deserves time specially if they are like me that I hate glasses but don't have other options. I agree there is a lack of interest in the customer, in guiding them when they don't understand fashion, or when then don't have the budget to go luxury. Thanks to our money no matter credit or cash we keep that store opened and their salaries paid, we are not begging or stealing we are hard working people trying to se a little bit better world at least through our eyes even that deep inside our hearts we don't need any lenses to se evil and rude people in there, the owner should read reviews before he or she loses the business thanks to them, as well to Dr Patel a great doctor who will also be affected for been a terrible employee and their bad customer service. read more

A strange and rather unpleasant experience. Two employees in the place. The man was nice and reasonably attentive, but the woman had nothing to say to us at all aside from a slightly condescending, entirely presumptuous, and totally unsolicited remark that Lens Crafters no longer prepares glasses on the premises. The store is poorly lit and over-priced. I held my nose and ordered the glasses I need, but it's the last time I will ever shop at Lens Crafters, ever. Guaranteed that Chapter 11 is just around the corner for that company. read more

I had the most pleasant experience here today getting first time glasses for my 6 year old son. Thank you so very much to Chivon who made what I was afraid was going to be a rough experience a very easy one. She convinced my son that he looked super smart in his new glasses. She also helped with insurance and pricing issues and made our entire experience an easy one. I neglected to get the Doctors name however she was just as sweet and patient with my son. Please don't discount this place as just a mall eyeglass shop. They are a serious facility and do excellent work. read more

Going to NEGATIVE 6 STARTS as after my nightmare not being able to finish my contact lens fitting I asked for them to send me my prescriptions that I PAID for by mail 1 week later still no prescription. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER read more

Avoid at all costs! They gave us glass lens prescription, for contact lens prescription. They did this on purpose. They are petty.

This Lenscrafters is the BEST! All of the employees really care and take the time to help you find the best glasses that fit your face shape/style. Kudos! read more

We just left this store and had such a good experience that I wanted to write a review. Marc G has excellent customer service skills. We have been to other LensCrafters locations in the area and this by far was the easiest and most helpful visit when trying to find new glasses for my husband. He clearly explained everything we needed to know and did not pressure us into getting anything that wasn't needed. He even helped him find different frame options, which was not something we were expecting based on previous experience. My husband was also concerned about the thickness of the lenses for the frames he chose and Marc helped to explain which frames would be best suited for that purpose. Thanks so much, Marc! We will definitely be back if we need glasses again! read more

I would not recommend this Lenscrafters to anyone. I had an awful experience there, I picked out my eye glasses and paid for them. I was told it would be ready in seven days. I waited for three weeks, when I called I was told the computer was down so they would call me back. They never call so I called again and was told by an associate he would check and call me back. Again he did not so I call again and the same young man told me he was busy and could not go to the back to check. Finally I went in and it was ready. Some associates are helpful, but overall very unprofessional. Manager is worst. I would not use this location again.#0626 read more

Made appointment, got a call to call them back. Called them back - wanted to know if I was using insurance, When I said yes they told me they were too busy to contact insurance for approval. I could pay for the exam etc out of pocket and TRY to get reimbursed. Unbelievable. They knew I had an appointment and the insurance info. What kind of nonsense is that... they are too busy. Really???!!! You are now not too busy you just lost a client. Good luck people. read more

Shout out to Mark G. on his excellent service! He was extremely patient (I made my sister try I everything) and provided us with styling feedback, which truly helped in the deciding which pair she got. He also made sure that the fit was perfect @ pickup. Thanks again for all your help Mark! We'll be seeing you again next time. read more

Staff were polite but don't have genuine interest in helping you. I purchased Coach sunglasses a few weeks back and when I purchased them the guy said he would adjust it so it would fit my nose better but obviously he did not really do it. I had to go back a 2nd time. Then a few weeks later I went back again hoping to get an exchange since the pair made me really uncomfortable. But unfortunately it was already after 1 month (without me realizing it) so the store couldn't do anything. Again they were polite but did not really want to help you. Even though I barely wore them. Lastly I noticed some sunglasses are priced much higher than Amazon.com read more
