Jamie and Jimmy could not have been more responsive or nicer with our entire transaction. Jamie kept me updated as to timing, was very responsive to my various questions, worked with me on pricing, and then answered a ton of questions the day we picked up the boat. They made it easy by having all the paperwork ready to go and even had the registration number on the boat and ready to go (another dealer told me I had to handle that myself). A really great experience for my wife and I. They seem like very friendly folks and knowledgeable about what they are doing. Would not hesitate to use them again. Only wish list item I would have liked was to have a full tank of gas in the boat. We rolled out with around 25%. I saw others on the Barletta FB page say their dealer sent them away with a fully loaded tank. I suspect they may have done this in part due to the price of gas and also possibly because I had a long ride home to another state.

In this vein, I contacted Danny Drye to attend and obtain my Concealed Carry Permit. I had several friends and family that were also interested in CCP and based on the number of people interested, Danny scheduled a private class for us. Carol Drye and Frank Delucia were our instructors and I can confirm they were most patient and knowledgeable instructors, offering practical scenarios that helped 'the law' make sense to any citizen. I highly recommend this CCP course to anyone interested in learning more and becoming more comfortable with a firearm. Carol also offered a 'ladies only' introductory class that I participated in where she explained pistol mechanics, safety and helped my comfort with a pistol. If you're interested in purchasing a firearm, your journey must begin at Drye's Gun Shop. While it's true he offers an extensive array of firearms, more importantly to me, he will take the time to discuss your wants and needs b/c he wants YOU to be comfortable with your purchase. He's extremely knowledgeable and is happy to share his knowledge so you can make an informed purchase. He's NOT out to simply make money and sale you a gun that isn't suitable for you or your needs --contrarily to how a young salesman would at a box store. Very happy with both classes I've participated in at Drye's Gun Shop and highly recommend this business for someone wanting to begin their CCP journey or add a firearm to their collection.

Celia was so friendly and helpful, and I ended up with a very high quality lock for a very fair price. It was even easier to use than my old lock, too! I mentioned needing a tuneup and she encouraged me to bring it by so that they could fix my bike and attach the lock to my bike frame. A couple hours later, I rolled back in with my bike to get it checked out and to have the new lock mounted on the frame. The gentleman working on repairs (I regret that I didn't get his name so I could give him a shoutout) immediately took it back, gave it some TLC, installed the lock on the frame, and gave it back to me in a few minutes, and at no charge. My bike rides as good as new now thanks to their kindness and expert service. This is why you shop local, friends. Good, smart people with deep expertise who take great care of their neighbors. Such a positive experience all around!

AMAZING! Trust the staff, even if they speak frankly. They are VERY up front and honest and, very importantly, do excellent work at good prices/rates.

I was unsure about how it would fit, so I decided to call LBS' in the area and Elon Bike Shop was the one that picked up. When we arrived, the owner was super nice and knowledgeable, and showed us his extensive collection of Campy parts, and fit me for the bike, made sure everything was in good working order, and valued the bike for me, all free of charge! As a novice to buying bikes, he was an invaluable resource, and talking with the owner was great. His store is like a museum of old Italian road bikes, all in phenomenal condition, and all of them with Campy. If you like Campy, especially vintage Campy, you will be in heaven here. I may be in Raleigh, but if I ever am in Burlington again, I will make no hesitation to stop back at the shop. The owner is incredibly honest, super down to earth, and has a great sense of humour. And geeking out over Campy gear is always fun too!

Ended up looking at Cannondale and Specialized hard tales, but quickly moved toward Santa Cruz. They're a bit expensive, as all full-suspensions are, but eh, long term investment I suppose, for my health and leisure. Prices are a bit expensive here and they won't budge on price. I've had decent experiences with TCM - them giving me a screw for me my cleats (and selling me on for a dollar another time - loc tite was not working), selling me tires, assembling a bike that was shipped to me, but the last visit left me cold. I have an old beater Giant hybrid with gear issues. Brought it in to have that looked at, and experienced an aggressive upsell, for tuneup, replace all cables, get new tubes and tires. I said no and got push back that the brake cables were "pretty gunked up" and needed to be replaced. Umm .... still a no. Does clean machines pay it's employees commission on repairs? Kind of got that impression. So I agreed to a tuneup since it was explained that the gear issues would be fixed as part of that. (A tube blew out during the tuneup, stuff happens.) Rode home - gear issues so turned around and brought the bike back in, and after a few minutes was told that the gears were too old and worn to be fixed. Not sure about that, but things degraded two rides later - yesterday the bike was popping out of gear, and I broke the chain I am 100% sure for that reason. I would have appreciated them owning up right up front that the repair was not good, and not trying to shunt me into work I did not want or need.

However, we went to pick up the bikes and one of them stopped working on our way home - it wouldn't accelerate. We called and explained the issue. They told us it'd be another $200 (after we'd already spent $1,000 on the tune up) to fix the issue. Our stance was that the bike worked perfectly fine until we dropped it off at the Bicycle Chain. They kept it for a few days and called us saying that it had been fixed. We tried to ride it home and it still wasn't working. We took it back and they told us we have a cheap e bike that'll end up in a land field - that there was nothing they could do. He said he'd tried to switch out the brake because the back brake was in bad shape - we JUST PAID THEM to replace all 4 brakes on both bikes. So, did they charge us for a brake that they never replaced?! The manager proceeded to call my bike cheap again and told me to call the distributor. Extremely inconsiderate. Will NEVER take my bikes here again.
