Sad to see that so called Americans and American businesses take their political beliefs and agendas to such extreme that they'll bad mouth and try and hurt an absolute upstanding fantastic business such as Mace Sports.... What's worse is too do so under the guides that they're beliefs are superior so they have the right to cost fellow Americans their lively hoods by driving down their business!!!!! This is exactly what's wrong with American and so called Americans today..... Our country's laws were created so that we all might be able to speak and express ourselves freely without penalty or prejudicial / political slander !!! This literally is no different then religious, ethnic, or racial terrorism, not only is it unpatriotic but more so economically damning !! Your taking jobs away from Americans, your driving up cost for your fellow Americans all while hiding behind the cloak that your beliefs of one man should come before ALL Americans and their way of life!!! I implore all of you..... please feel free to express yourselves but not at the cost of your fellow Americans, save your distain for the poles !!!! With the utmost respect and sincerity, Your fellow American Steve read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY They say in stock and what they really mean is they can order it from the manufacturer the same as you. I waited 5 days for my order status to change to shipped before calling. I was told they didn't actually have it in stock that they were ordering it from the manufacturer that shows it on back order. The price was the same as what the manufacturer was selling it on their web site but in stock. Just be honest and say you don't have it in stock, and that it is on back order from the manufacturer. That as soon as you receive a shipment from them you will notify me so I can pay for it then or try and go find it somewhere else. YOU CAN NOT CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE ON SOMETHING YOU NEVER HAD read more

I have been there a few times and the first time I went to get my arrows cut and I wanted to put red and white fletches the older gentlemen looked annoyed I was there and said he ddnt have white ones. So I went over there to the aisle and saw them plain as day no way he could've missed it. Then he cut my brand new arrows all different lengths and when I put my broad head on it hit my riser and I had told him what length I was and all the info he needed and he still got it wrong. This all happened a few years ago. I gave them another try since I was in the area and when me and my wife went in no one said a a word to us and I was in there for a little while looking for a bow accessories and not a single employee came to see if we needed help. So needless to say won't be ever going back. Nice shop but horrible customer service read more

Great selection. Very friendly customer service. And everything is reasonably priced.

I keep coming back because this place has a little bit of everything outdoors but a great gun selection with good prices! They have grills, fishing supplies, archery, anything and all things guns. The staff is very friendly and willing to help but not pushy. They have a great Sig Sauer selection, Glocks, and many other brands of pistols as well as a great selection of rifles and shotguns. read more

Helpful counter personnel and smooth purchase while buying a special ordered G 30 S and I really enjoyed the experience of shopping at their store read more

As an 18 year old black male, the service i receive at Mace Sports is great actually. i have bought 2 guns from them with the latest being a Kel-Tec Sub-2000. As an 18 year old i cannot legally buy 9mm ammo but they let me get it because they know that i have purchased a Pistol Caliber Carbine at their establishment. I would like to recognize John, for being very friendly and patient with me. These people are not racist whatsoever, so please do not let the Trump sign steer you away. The fact that you would let a sign that is not hurting you in anyway steer you away from a great gunstore means you need grow some skin. If there is proof that they are not racist, I AM IT. (Note: I have actually been INSIDE the store so my review is way more valid than the "reviews" from people who haven't even walked inside of the store) read more

Have purchased three pistols from Mace over the years. From small store to now. Always very helpful Best Gun store in Triangle. read more

Wow, I just got back from my first visit to Mace. It won't be my last. Great selection of firearms; however, the customer service is just over the top. As I told the clerk, this was the best customer service I've EVER had at a gun/outdoor shop. They greet you when you walk in the door and the salesclerk are patient and never rush you. They're not paid on commission so they don't steer you towards the most expensive items or things you don't need. Highly recommended especially for first-time buyers. read more

They don't help people of color I guess.. I stood there 20 minute before I walked out with no help, a nice lady at the desk even asked another gentleman to "help the young Mann in the white shirt he's been standing a while" which was me but the gentleman proceeds to answering the phone and then going to help another customer instead After standing around another 10 minutes with no help I decided to finally leave, before doing so I let two employees know about the issue and all they replied with was "sorry" I'd rather take my cash an hour down the road to get great service. Never again will I step foot in this establishment again!! Thanks Mace! read more

I am happy to shop here, I have bought plenty of ammo from them. I have also bought a rifle from them at a great price. The staff is very helpful and they give opportunity for young people to work there so I can understand some people thinking the staff is not knowledgeable BUT simply ask for someone more experience and they will help. I have had all of my questions answered every time! I also LOVE shopping at a place that supports our second amendment rights and supports Donald Trump....yes I said it....GO TRUMP! read more

I personally respect anyone especially a company like Mace that believes in a great President like Donald Trump. Trump gets my vote 100% as Mace gets my business whenever I'm passing by their store. read more

A friend recommended this place to shop. Omg! Terrible service. The person that helped me was a complete jerk. His attention was shifted from me to a person that came I'm after me.... because the employee apparently that person. I should have known better when I drove up.... that fact there is a Trump /Pence flag above the door, and and " Let's go Brandon" advertising says it all. What legit professional business does that. I will never go here again and will definitely no recommend to anyone. read more

just wanted another gun and they asked way too many questions. Insane prices. No service. better options nearby.

All the whiners here. If I don't like a place of business I just don't go back. Se how simple that is! Mace has always taken care of me. Don't badmouth a business. Direct it straight to the owner if you have big boy britches. read more

Really enjoy my shopping experience at Mace. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I had an AR 9 transfer to their store from an online purchase and the process was very smooth and accommodating. I recently purchased a Beretta Px4 Storm 9mm. The salesman was extremely helpful ensuring that the correct model was ordered. Mace is my go-to store for guns and hunting gear! read more

Great place! Helpful, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of guns and shooting supplies.

Terrible service, overpriced, staff lacked basic product knowledge. Can't believe they can stay in business

It's funny how people complain about trump sign at a gun store durrrrrrrrr what party did you think they were going to represent.

Nice to have the variety...but gouging people for items that are in high demand is wrong. Reloading powders are 30-40% over retail...and primers are more than 4 times retail. read more

In the past year I have been in and out of several sporting goods retailers. I have generally found the experience frustrating. I did a google search and came upon Mace Sports... I stopped by this past weekend. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! ... what a change from my past experiences. I had all my questions answered and found special ordering is a snap! I am currently looking forward to seeing my Sig Sauer P220 10 mm this upcoming week. Again Thanks.... I will be by often... as this is now my new favorite sporting goods stop! read more

This is about as good as an outdoor store gets. I went here just on a whim while pulling off for gas, and am glad I did. The selection (and prices) were amazing! Even as someone who is not a big "gun guy," the firearm selection and knowledge of the sales people was impressive. The bows were even better...possibly the best selection of archery equipment I've ever seen. The Carhartt section was particularly good. It seems everywhere else I go, the only sizes they have are XL or larger...they had a large selection of not only types of jackets, sweatshirts, and such, but a great selection of sizes as well! Glad I stopped by...will definitely make a point of stopping by again when I pass through. read more

We love Mace Sports' selection of guns and archery equipment, but the best thing about this place is Donnie in archery. He has helped us countless times with arrows, ordering specialty bows, exchanging a product that malfunctioned (no fault of Mace Sports), tying in peep sights, and on and on. In addition to archery and guns, they have fishing gear as well. Largest place for decent hunter supply in this area. read more

Love Mace Sports. Great hunting and firearms gear with excellent Salespeople! Their courage to display the Trump Sign is admirable, They have earned my business in perpetuity. read more

I hadn't looked at Mace's reply until today, seven years later. Punchline is they misrepresented a product that they are supposed to know. I bought it based on the salesman saying the wood was real. It's not real. They show emails of offers that continue to force me to pay for their mistake. I lost $250 and a bunch of time paying for their mistake. I haven't been back and I will never will go back. read more

I recently obtained my pistol purchase permit and set out to make my first handgun purchase (home safety and soon to be concealed carry.) I was recommended Mace Sports for the hometown feel and hometown pricing. After a couple weeks of research, Mace was $50 cheaper than anywhere else I looked. Although I went in "already knowing what I wanted", John took the time to make me feel even better about it, meanwhile making the proper recommendations based on my wants and best bang for my $$$ (holster, ammo, etc.) When it comes to ANYTHING shooting, hunting, accessories, gear, etc. I will continue to support this local, knowledgable, friendly, hometown business! I have sent 3 people your way in the past 30 days who have also made purchases with you guys and they are just as pleased! Thank you Mace Sports for earning my business! -Andy read more

Mace Sports made my FFL transfer and purchasing ammo and accessories efficient and pleasant. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Even though I wasn't buying a firearm from them directly, they took their time with my transaction. They answered my questions, gave some good suggestions and brought the items I was looking for directly to me at the counter. This was my first time coming to Mace Sports and I will definitely come back. read more

Unless you are buying a gun you will be treated like you are wasting there time. Now if you just like being treated like you are wasting a salesmen's time, I would recommend Mace sports in Mebane NC. Me personally I will find some where to buy my reloading supplies (AKA spend my money) that has time for all there costumers, not just the ones that are buying guns. I get it $400-1000(gun) vs.$100-300reloading supply's). I was and am just getting started in the reloading of my own ammunition. They don't have time for my question's that ok I would rather do business with the little guy that has time for his costumers all of them. Billie read more

Recently purchased a handgun from Mace Sports. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was great and I will purchase from them again.

In short this place provides little, to no customer service and simply wishes to get guns out the door much a like a big box store. If you do go, which I can't recommend, go with your own knowledge, an eye for detail, and mostly expect absolutely no help should you have an issue. Details of my multiple negative experiences with Mace Sports below... I really want to like this place, but after purchasing several guns from this store I would never recommend them to friends or return. The first gun was a deer rifle from my wife. Not only did the gun malfunction from the start (not cycling rounds, jamming), I had terrible issues when trying to zero the scope...Why? Because they sold my wife an AIR RIFLE scope for a .270 rifle. We took the gun back the next day, and they claimed the scope should be fine...wrong! Eventually they agreed to take both items back, but only gave me a partial refund on the firearm sale. Reluctantly, I used my store credit to purchase a new gun and scope that works well. Considering they're selection and a deal on scopes they were advertising; I decided I would purchase a NEW muzzleloader from them for the upcoming season. I called to check their inventory and they had one new gun (the model I wanted) in stock. I asked for a cash price (around $40 off) and purchased the rifle with a new Nikon scope. They mounted and bore sighted the scope and sent me on my way. When I arrived home I took the rifle out of the box and noticed a small nick in the finish, near the breach plug. Being a carbon steel barrel on a muzzleloader this worried me due the risk of corrosion issues...If the finish was nicked sitting on the shelf, how will it hold up in the woods? I immediately called the store to speak with someone and they said to come back by the store and they would resolve the issue. I never fired the gun and all tags were left in tact. When I arrived to the store they refused to help me, refused to take back the gun, and said the nick in the finish wouldn't affect the guns performance..WOW, incredible customer service? I spoke with a manager, who then spoke with an owner, who stated he thought I had nicked the finish in the gun. WOW, now you are calling me a liar?...I honestly feel insulted and cheated, and both the manager and owner could have cared less. It seems that "Bill Mace's bad habits" will continue well past his 68 years and that instead of "Making Shooting Fun" they will "continue to grow their business" with "[last] place customer service". read more

I've been to Mace Sports twice now and vow to never return. The staff leave something to be desired and I've never seen such horrible customer service. If you like high prices and down right bad customer service then you will love this place, if not I have two words for you, STAY AWAY! read more

Great sports store. I was very impressed with all the high quality goods they stock and sell here. A very extensive hunting section. It is conveniently located just off the interstate, and you have probably seen it many times when driving by. read more

I never knew this place existed until I rode past them on I-40 yesterday. I thought I'd stop in and see if they had any closeouts on camo. What a great place! Well lit, clean, great selection of hunting gear. The archery shop was great, with a good selection, even at the end of the season. I stopped by the gun counter. They were really busy but I didn't have any trouble finding someone to help me, and he knew his stuff. Found a great little pistol that was on sale at a good price and I bought it completely on impulse. The paperwork only took maybe 10 minutes, it was the fastest I've ever experienced anywhere. One thing I appreciate in a gun/sportsman's store is whether it's friendly to families, women, or people new to shooting. Mace seems to be that kind of place. Some places can be dark as a tattoo parlor and have that smell of testosterone like you find at tactical/military surplus shops in Fayetteville. Not here. These guys are great. Whenever I'm passing through again, I'll be sure to make time to stop by again. read more

Mace Sports is a great gun and archery store! Leon is the best source of gun information anywhere. He has shepherded me from neophyte seeking home defense to gun enthusiast.Along the way, he told me about guns that would best fit my needs.I will be forever grateful that he got me interested in Smith and Wesson revolvers first and now a variety of pistols.Leon typifies the interest of the people that work at Mace's.I have felt welcome every visit.Their salesforce are friendly and knowledgable.I have found nothing better than Mace's.My best endorsement is the fact that I drive more than two hours to get to them.I trust them and look forward to each visit.Give them a try; I guarantee you will be pleased and well-served.But remember, this is not heaven...it's Mebane! read more

I have been going to this store for years and it never lets me down! They always have a wide selection of guns and the prices are pretty great as well. At first they didn't have many knifes but on my last visit they have defiantly up their inventory. The knifes were a little to pricey but in the end you are gonna get what you pay for. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy their first gun or just looking to add to the collection!!! read more
