This was my second time hiring the crew within a 3 year period. They have gotten pricier over time but still economical compared to the other outrageously priced companies. Sean and crew showed up promptly. My move took 7 hours and 2 trips instead of the anticipated one trip 4 hours. They completed the job without any complaints and a skip in their steps. If you need to move delicate fragile expensive items or art they are probably not for you. However if you need to move regular furniture within the city they will do an amazing job. I highly recommend. read more

I hired these guys based on a recommendation from a friend. Your best bet is to text or call them as they're not as quick to respond thru email. I think these guys are best for smaller jobs and that is what they're used to - like apartment, condo, or 2500 sq ft moves. We had a 5000 square foot home which we lived in for sixteen years - and I think the amount of stuff we had to move was too much for a three person crew. They brought a fourth person on the second day but it still seemed somewhat strained. As a result, we had to hire them for two days. We had tried to get an estimate but they said they couldn't really give us one. They were professional and kind overall. Slight discount if you pay in cash. read more

Guess who finally moved all that stuff out of storage into their new home? ME!!!!!! I had requested quotes for my moving job that would be removing all my stuff from storage in San Leandro to my place in the Central valley. They were prompt with the quote and i Chose the 3 movers for $140/hr deal. Day of move: Met me in San Leandro at 945 am. The truck was filled before noon and we headed on down. The drive was about 90 mins. By the time they unloaded the truck and placed everything where i desired, along with not damaging anything, it was about 345pm. The drive time costs a lil extra. Maybe it was time and a half. Can't recall. However, I was pleased with the job. $1000 including tipping 3 movers. I will say that I procrastinated this move due to me thinking it was going to cost me way over $1000. I had alot of stuff in this storage read more

These guys were great and super friendly. First time we hire them and will call them for the next move. They moved us in/out quicker than I thought !(House to small 1 bedroom apartment with heavy furniture... including a huge Ikea wardrobe that wasn't made to be moved around). Everything arrived in the same condition (even this really old cabinet that I didn't think was going to make it but is now in the perfect spot). They also followed the exact tetris-style set up I gave them. Scheduling was also very easy and Sean answered every call and question. Even helped me last minute with something else I requested. Excited to go to their concerts once the pandemic ends....always happy to support musicians (especially in times of covid). thanks Sam, Nate & Sean !! -Eric & Dani P.S. we told the kids about you & they asked if you were supposed to sing us a song at the end hehe so that will be our only suggestion....all genres accepted. Don't forget to tip, tip, tip... & have cold water ready nearby since summer is coming up. read more

Quick and easy to schedule. They were one of moving companies that don't have any weird hidden fees, very straight forward hourly fee that includes everything. I got a 2 man crew for a 1 bedroom move (and I have some heavy furniture). They came in the morning as scheduled and moved everything quickly by the afternoon (they also take an unpaid lunch and return quickly). They do not have mattress protectors but it wasn't an issue. They fit my big flat screen TVs between furnitures and no issues. They also helped with putting my mattress back together! Everything went smoothly and I am recommending them to all my friends! Be sure to tip and get them cold drinks; and pack all your belongings in regular packing boxes to make the move faster! read more

Fantastic moving company. Honest, reasonably priced, reliable and very responsive. I had so many questions for our big move from SF to LA (with 2 kids!) and Ray (the owner) answered them all. The night before our move I realized we had a lot more stuff than would fit into a 16 ft truck and I text Ray. He called me back in the morning and was super chill and managed to get a bigger truck for us. The move was delayed by 2 hours but I was so relieved they got me a 24 ft truck! Also they just charged a little more than what was quoted so it was totally worth it for the peace of mind of having all my stuff fit. They wrapped whatever I told them to be careful with and were super polite. Would definitely use them again! Thanks Ray, Doug and all the rest of your team! We were so happy moving in to our new home thanks to you :) read more

Rock 'n Roll Moving - Loading up! - Movers Near Me

Let me start off by saying I have never had a positive moving experience with any moving company, ever! Luckily good friend highly recommended rock 'n' roll Movers to me and I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed with Sean and Sam!! They were kind, responsive, receptive to every request and extremely patient. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they were so friendly and easy to work with. I cannot recommend them enough and I'm so grateful for all of their help and support! They are extremely simple, laid-back and relaxed, know that from the beginning that they do not over-complicate things. You will understand what a great business strategy this is on your actual move day, just trust me that they are fabulous to work with! read more

Sean and Ben, simply put are rock star movers - the best! As a designer, i have high expectations, for my clients. We did the move in a few phases, very well planned out, albeit not as simple as most moves. The guys worked seamlessly though the day, well into the night during both big move days. Everything was carefully packed including large pieces of artworks, arrived in-tact, not one broken item. The guys even helped with a small third move and donations. No job too small! Hardworking, agile, calm under pressure and pro all the way. Highly recommend. Thank you guys you exceeded my expectations! read more

Ray and his team were very professional and friendly. They were very upfront with pricing and details and made the move relatively painless given we were moving a lot of stuff into an older building in San Francisco! Timing took a bit longer than originally estimated, but we made it work given their hourly rate is pretty good. A few tips if you choose to work with them: - make sure to prep your own mattress pads/protectors as they only have standard mats to line the bottom of their truck but nothing that would wrap - be clear about what needs to be protected/expensive furniture and they are very receptive to taking extra care to make sure no damage occurs read more

I can't recommend these guys enough. Sean responded to me extremely fast with a quote and he and his co-worker (sorry, I can't remember his name) were able to do a quick move less than two days later. It was small, just from a storage unit to my mom's house, but I will definitely contact them and recommend them for any moves I have in the future. Thank you! read more

Rock n Roll moving is great! I can't recommend them enough. I needed help with a move kind of last minute, and everything was smooth from start to finish. The scheduling process was easy, and the pricing was reasonable and transparent. I could tell that they really knew what they were doing, which was such a load off since moving is so stressful already. Sean was great to work with and just had a positive, confident, steady attitude that put me at ease. I feel great supporting this company, you can tell they're good people. Hopefully I won't have to move again any time soon but if I do I'll definitely call them. read more

Movers were quick and had great attention to detail making sure everything was packed up and secure before transporting it to the other side of the bay. Finished moving my entire apartment in just a few hours, even without an elevator! I would highly recommend Rock 'n Roll Moving to anyone moving to, from, or in Oakland! read more

The guys at Rock 'n Roll moving made moving a breeze for us! I requested a quote and they got back to me in less than an hour. Competitive rate without a bunch of added fees like other quotes I received. They showed up on time and made ridiculously quick work of our 1 bedroom apartment despite the 7th floor location at the end of a long hallway with multiple tenants moving in and using the same elevator today. Everything arrived safely - unblemished. A courteous and friendly bunch of expert movers. Hopefully we won't be moving again for a few years - but when we do, I know who to call. Rock 'n Roll Moving are a bunch of rockstars! Thanks for the warm welcome to Oakland! read more

These guys were great! We moved from a 2nd floor unit to a 3rd floor unit so they put in WORK. They wrapped and padded all our furniture, were friendly, professional and have competitive prices compared to other Bay Area moving companies. Highly recommend! read more

They were professional, timely and very organized. They may our move across the bridge a breeze. Would definitely use them again.

These guys were great. Fast, reliable and professional. They got me door-to-door in only 2.5 hours. Feels good to support musicians too! Highly recommended. read more

Best moving experience I've ever had. The guys were nice and professional and were quick. I researched a lot of moving companies before the move but was recommended Rock n Roll by a friend. They had no 'hidden' fees and were upfront with all the costs which is refreshing. If I could give them a 10 star I would! THANK YOU! read more

A nice group of guys that worked hard and quickly, making sure to put things in the rooms I wanted in a three-level townhouse. The job took longer than I initially thought, but mainly because I ended up moving more than I had planned, not needing to be out of my old place for a few weeks. But they were ready with the right equipment at no extra cost to get my extra things moved. The only thing I'd suggest is that they often put boxes on top of each other in the rooms. Since they knew I just had surgery on my shoulder, they could have considered that stacking boxes made going through them that much more difficult for me. Had I mentioned it before they left, they would have done something about it, but cable had just showed up as they were finishing, so I didn't realize it until later. One little note is that I had a heavy entertainment center I wanted to keep, but it was decided that it was too much to transport up to the third level of the townhouse. One of the guys had spent time trying to break it down, though I suggested not to for if we do put it out for someone to get. I did appreciate him trying, but in the end, it was just extra time added to the move with his attempts, as they ended up putting it out for someone else to have. But all-in-all, I'd recommend them. read more

Here's the deal: You can't go wrong with these guys. I was very happy with the communication to set up moving day and the crew that came. I tried my best to confound them or maybe frustrate them but I couldn't! LOL They were even and steady and thoughtful and careful....I felt very well taken care of. They took better care of my things than I even asked them to! They were efficient with time and very, very friendly! Call and set it up. The actual moving part of a move should be the easy part and these guys will make that so! read more

I used Rock and Roll Moving back in July and forgot to leave a review until now. My wife and I needed help moving our 1 bedroom apartment down a couple flights of stairs, we chose these guys based on their Yelp reviews. We could not be happier with our choice. We waited until the day we actually had to be out of our unit to start loading our truck, so we needed reliable people to be our movers. Rock and Roll Moving communicated with us well before the day we needed them, and texted/called us the day we scheduled them to keep us updated. They showed up early, did the job in less time than they quoted us, and brought an extra guy to help for part of the day. They knew what they were doing and made our move much easier than it would have been otherwise. I could not recommend these guys enough. read more

I needed help moving heavy furniture pieces to my garage temporarily. I contacted Ray directly through Yelp. He was quick getting back to me, it was super simple to make the arrangements. His guys showed up on time and were friendly and careful with our things. I will use them again in the future! read more

These guys are great! As an independent contractor in the fashion industry, the struggle to gather all the supplies i need for my small business is real. A friend of mines found a great table on Craigslist Tuesday morning after I had just got back into town from working a job in SoCal, but it was way to big and bulky for one person to move. Doing what I do best, I checked CL for all moving companies, read their motto and gave two out of 6 a call. Firstly, when Raymundo answered his phone, he was not only polite but we worked out a time that was good for us both considering how last minute it was (yes I called and didn't email Desperate Times). Promptly after the call, I sent him a photo of the table, and the addresses and explained how heavy it was. Now, we reach today and I'm always a nervous ninny... The bay bridge is super pack as usual for 7am, but we all make it to the site for pick up. All four guys hop out the truck ready for action and transport, disassembled and reassembled the table once it got into my house... All under 2 hours!!! Pro! (My Experience) They are all young, vibrant, amazing people and if you are up for it, they might just make you laugh. Cons!! (My opinion) They under pay themselves because they are a new company... I'm leaving a millennial's version of a review because I believe I received quality service. Thank you for your help today, it truly means a lot. read more

Rock 'n Roll Moving - The table they helped me move in my review was one wood tables at 97" long X 48" wide X 36" tall - Movers Near Me

They did a great job moving me from my 2nd floor unit to a new split level unit in the same complex a few doors down. I priced out 6 different movers in the area and they had a very competitive rate. They did an excellent job moving some large furniture, taking care not to damage, especially considering the stair case had tight turns. Will be recommending them to friends and family in need of movers. read more

By far the most reasonable and accommodating company I have ever moved with. Sean was so flexible with our needs and moved us from San Francisco to Los Angeles with ease. Competitive rate for sure. Sean, Mick and John made our move from Oakland to Auburn a painless experience. They expertly packed our two-bedroom bungalow (our life!) and moved everything into our new home with careful attention to detail and zero complaints. Our new house has steep driveway and is perched atop a hill. That said, the job was NOT an easy one. High fives all around for super service and great attitudes to boot! read more

Rock 'n Roll Moving is amazing. The owner responded to all of my messages and calls within 30 minutes (if not sooner). The cost was reasonable and the final bill was in line with the initial quote. The team was flexible on pick up and drop off times. They also had a great attitude considering my husband had them move extremely overpacked book boxes and a ton of free-weights (sorry guys!!) Our 400 mile move could not have gone any more smoothly thanks to Rock n Roll Moving. Highly recommended. read more

Raymundo and his team are great. Friendly, professional and all around nice guys. I've moved with them twice and will be back again!

We hired Rock N Roll to move us from our 1 br apartment to our new 2 br apartment within San Francisco. The team was very professional and packed everything securely and moved us into our new home without a hitch. They did have a couple of no-show movers, however, they filled their spots each day. Moving can be very stressful in my humble opinion!!! These gentleman were prompt, efficient and very professional. They were able to pack up my place (I am very picky with how my items are handled) and get me into storage during the week, and made it back to work before lunch. These guys did a great job moving me to a new apartment on short notice. They were reasonably priced and showed up on time. They worked fast but took good care of my stuff. They were able to move a large bedroom full of stuff down 3 flights of stairs and then up 3 flights of stairs in 2h10m, and then graciously rounded down the time to 2h. I was very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone. read more

These guys are the real deal! We were moving from the Bay Area to Oregon with a uhaul and no assistance. They turned the entire experience from disastrous into doable.
