If casual dining is on your list while in Jasper Rocco,s Pub is the place to go. My wife and I made it a Friday night regular when the location was in Marietta, GA. When the Jasper location opened the cooking staff stepped up their quality. I think I have had almost everything on the menu however, these are some of my favorite selections, fish and chips, wings, hamburger, fried shrimp and for starters onion rings and potato skins. Surprisingly enjoyed the dining experience here. Had heard they had some problems with biker groups being rowdy n driving away customers. Understand they dealt with that problem and thank goodness locals n travelers flooded back. You have a choice of inside or outside dining. Casual atmosphere with music keeping it upbeat!! All I can say is wow. Service was the worst I have seen in a while. We sat on the patio with our dog and my boyfriend had to go inside to tell someone we were outside. After a short wait someone came over to us and took our drink order. I had a water, my boyfriend ordered a beer, and we ordered chili cheese tots. We got the tots and drinks relatively quickly. Tots were soggy, shredded cheese was not melted, and the chili was just okay. Was looking forward to ordering my actual meal. Well I never got to even order it. 30 minutes goes by and we can't find our waitress. My boyfriend went inside to find someone and he couldn't even find anyone. First time we tried the food after we have been by several times. We decided to get take out. The food was okay, mediocre at best. The one stand out was the fried green tomatoes but 6 small tomatoes is a bit small for the price. The one thing I have a big problem is a 10% take out fee. Mostly eddible...crappy pub food. My friends say there food was ok... but not good. They had burgers and the onion and pepper sausage. I had the fish and chips and couldnt even eat it. I got it because the place didnt look like they had good food... and who can mess up fish and chips. Theirs was the worst ive EVER had. I couldn't eat my meal.. it was so bad.. the tarter sauce was disgusting too. Not the best service. Some of the servers were bitchy... ours was nice. It was great when it first opened. But they have really slid into the crapper I ordered a bowl of chili. Got a tiny cup of chili.was not even a bowl. They used to have larger portions of everything. Terrible waitress and service. Waitress ignored all of us except for one of the men in our group. Waitress flirted and hugged my male friend constantly and only took care of him and talked to only him. Had to have other waitresses serve our drinks and food because this one waitress only paid attention to the man in our group. Food was mediocre. My male friend of course enjoyed the close body contacts and attention from this waitress. The food was okay. I am writing this review so that if you plan to dine there and expect the restaurant staff to abide by the CDC's recommendations and the criteria established by Gov. Kemp for businesses to operate during COVID, don't enter the door. Not one server, hostess or bartender wore a mask, practiced social distancing, or partitioned off eating areas that were less than 6 feet apart. When I asked the server about their disregard to follow the guidelines, her response was that they didn't have to. We really enjoyed Rocco's, great music, very casual, nice and friendly service. We got the wings, which were pretty good, they are available wet or dry, i.e. sauce or not. Standard pub fare. Below average food at higher than average pricing. Beware as well if you sit where the band plays (due to the other side being full) they will automatically add a $5 cover charge to your bill. My husband and I frequent here a lot and we've never had a meal we didn't like. Service is always wonderful to us and especially my husbands service dog, which is awesome considering many places aren't too crazy about having the service dog in their restaurant. This establishment rocks. I brought a large wedding party into dinner and dancing. I had older people who don't like loud noise, so I was very concerned where my table would be. Amy,.was very helpful and accommodating. I had to add some guests and take away some that didn't make it, they made the changes right away. They even helped in making changes, so Charity, could take care of our table. Glasses were always full, children given great care, and the food was great.
