Same bright white interiors and some nice upgrades as well. I had the lobster ravioli with shrimp and it was delicious! The shrimp were so good and the spinach added some nice flavor and color. My husband had the grilled shrimp and he loved his fish as well. We started with the crispy lemon shrimp (didn't realize how much shrimp we had ordered!) and they were great, too. My in-laws recently bought a cabin up in Big Canoe, so we have been trying to explore this area and find all the good local eats. We've eaten here three times already because it's that good!! Everything's made with fresh, local ingredients and you can tell from the first bite. First time for brunch, and most recent times for dinner. Service has been excellent every time we've gone. The pork chop was one of the best I've had in a very long time - full of flavor and oh so tender. It's French-cut, and comes with poached apples from a nearby orchard, Reece's, as well as a butternut squash puree and some brussels sprouts. The scallop & pork belly risotto was also excellent and came with a lemon saffron risotto and perfectly seared scallops. They offer indoor, bar, and patio seating. read more

Two visits in the last couple of weeks! Both were awesome. Our first was with friends of ours. We started with some excellent appetizers The Meat and cheese board with excellent selections of both plus melon, honeys etc, also we added the Focaccia with oil and balsamic a perfect start for our group. As for entrees we all had something different from schnitzel, to tagliatelle, Trout and all were impressive dishes! Our servers were all incredible, quick, helpful, kept an eye on us. All in all a great dining experience. Our second visit we had family in Three teenagers, four adults, everything went over very well,food arrived timely and was delicious and satisfying for the hungry kids, Bartenders and waitstaff were pretty incredible especially since all the dining room was full. Our dinner tonight was exceptional. Our service by Abby was personable and attentive. The dinner was delicious and memorable from start to finish. At Abby's recommendation, we had the roasted squash appetizer that was phenomenal. Both the Beef Tagliatelle and Cavarelli Rigati were delicious and exceeded our expectations. For dessert we had a slice of the cake of the week which had a maple bacon theme and it was decadent. We will look forward to returning soon! read more

Delicious Food! Beautiful Aesthetics! Great Service! Fair Prices! What more could you want? This is absolutely worth seeking out if you are in the Ball Ground or Jasper area! The cozy weekday lunch vibe was mountain preppy and quiet and relaxing. I imagine it's very different at night with the bar, but it'd still be classy. The lunch menu consisted of tomato soup, a variety of salads, and a few sandwiches and entrees. They were out of a couple of things, but we got what we wanted. My hubby liked his gyro and fries. The smash burger was fantastic! I recommend asking them to caramelize the onions a bit more and to make sure the shredded cheese is fully melted. You may also need some salt. These tiny tweaks would make it absolute perfection, especially with the house-made pickles. The fries were good if you like them fairly thin and crispy. The bites of the day were the jalapeño poppers - best I've had in the world. They aren't breaded but grilled. I mean, I'm ready now to drive from Kennesaw to have more! We'll definitely be back, maybe for dinner and wine next time. read more

First visit and regrettably it just missed the mark for me. It's a nice space, but I definitely had issues with the food and service was quite marginal. We started with the Bona Fide salad. I'm not sure about the cinnamon, dusted apples on it, but the salad itslef was generously, dusted with cinnamon making for a gross taste combination. I ordered the Cut of the Day which was a Wagyu beef fillet. Probably the worst steak I've ever had. Most every bite I had to spit in my napkin because it was so tough and grisly and would not breakdown even with prolonged chewing. It was ridiculous! There's no way this was Wagyu unless it was from the hoof. read more

Food is very good, service is great. I must state that over the last year, even with full support from Big Canoe residents the prices have sure spiked. More than any other restaurant in Jasper. Go go Go ! Lunch was fabulous ! We arrived at 11:30 for Lunch . Our waitress was super nice and quick with our waters and our orders. I ordered the BLT with fries . I really enjoyed the sandwich . The bacon was perfectly cooked and very flavorful , dressed with a tasty tomato and crisp lettuce . My friend ordered the Gyro and she enjoyed that as well ! We both loved the high quality lunch for the affordable price. We both agreed this could be our new lunch spot ! As we were leaving the lunch crowd was in full swing !!! I recently had the opportunity for dinner with great friends at North Georgia's newest dining experience. "Lucky Hare" is a wonderful restaurant in Marble Hill, GA directly across from the beautiful community of Big Canoe. The owners and staff excitedly greeted every customer with huge smiles and a welcoming spirit. We began our meal with Wedge/House Salads and Tomato Bisque soup. We immediately knew we were in for a wonderful evening. Half of our group not being very adventurous ordered the Petite Center Cut Filets and thankfully didn't ask for them to be cooked well done. The others stretched their pallets sampling the Shrimp and Grits (A Southern Staple) and "The Unlucky Hare" (Boneless Rabbit in a cream sauce with mushrooms) which did not disappoint. The main course left everyone full and happy. But, not so full we didn't have room for dessert. We finished off the evening with a table share dessert of Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake and a Molten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. If you live, are vacationing or looking to visit N. Georgia or the community of Big Canoe. I highly recommend you put Lucky Hare in your dinner plans while in the area. They accept reservations by phone, Open Table and they say Walk-ins are welcome but, as the hottest and newest thing in town they are very busy. We went for our friend's birthday. Great experience! You could not really tell the place had only been open for four days at the time of our visit. Highly recommend the fried chicken and the shrimp and grits. Our server was amazing! She was new, but handled our questions like a pro. She was very personable and friendly without hovering. Finally, the ambiance was on point! It wasn't too dark or loud like some restaurants can be. It also wasn't overly lit like a cafeteria. Definitely recommend. read more

Complicated review here. There were four of us. My scallops were fine, risotto pasta was delicious. Wife's shrimp / grits were OK. Had better. We generally have a rule.....don't order shellfish seafood greater than 100 miles from the coast. Should have followed that rule. Friend's wife had the salmon. She said it was very good. Then, my friend ordered the fried chicken. Raw in the middle. So he sent it back or course, and ordered the salmon. Asked for it "medium" as it's listed on the menu as rare. Came out "raw" in the middle, and quite a small portion, I might add. He sent that back. Waitress was very nice, very apologetic, but it's not her problem. Manager knew what was going on for sure, but NEVER came over, until my friend called him over. Mgt needs to own the problem right away. The only good thing was they comped his meal which I think the waitress insisted they do for him before the mgr got involved. We ordered the cheesecake split for four....delicious. Then, the wine....very nice pinot grigio, but the serving portion was so small....actually pitiful. $8 for two swigs of wine. We won't be back. Went for the first time on a Saturday with a large group (a car club) so they were busy from the jump. I had the Chicken Caesar wrap and it was excellent and the French fries were also good as the side. My wife ordered the grilled cheese and it was pretty weak tbh, even visually. Melted cheese on bread which didn't even look like it had been cooked with butter or in a skillet. I'll chalk it up to being swamped and we'll give it another go. read more

Went for lunch. The lighting was so dim we could hardly see our food on this bright and sunny day. Request a table by the window so you can see what you are eating. The large salad that was ordered was not large at all and unremarkable. The gyros meat was dry. Went to Lucky Hare last night. I had the special...pompano with pesto pasta. Wow!!! I lived in the Florida Keys for 30 years and I have never had pompano this delicious! Seriously the best ever! The pasta was absolutely delicious. Oh...and the Caesar salad with jalapeño croutons was to die for. I also want to point out that service was excellent!!! The ambiance is perfect for a date night. The noise level allowed conversation without raised voices. The food was excellent and fairly prices. The service was on point, professional and friendly. We had the center cut fillet with garlic mashed potatoes, bronzed mushrooms, and haricots verts. Also the wild caught Patagonian salmon with lemon honey glaze, sweet potato puree, and petite green beans. We shared the chocolate mousse for desert which, by the way, is gluten free.
