tl;dr Good pizza, shitty humans. Rocco's hires delivery people who will literally walk away from you while you're talking to them about an order that was messed up. After demanding a refund, Rocco's will say they will give you one, and then won't. Long version: I had a simple delivery order and was told it would take ~45 minutes. Actually it took an hour and a half. When the delivery guy finally arrived, he had brought the wrong soda. I asked if he had the right soda in his bag or some such. He said "I don't know." As I was continuing to say so what are we going to do about this, he walked back to his bike. I said "excuse me," and he drove away. I called the manager at Rocco's. He offered a lukewarm apology for the asshole delivery person that he hired. I demanded a refund for my order and he said he would refund my credit card. This was a week ago. He never gave me the refund. I can see from the other reviews that lots of people have had issues with Rocco's delivery and/or management. Clearly Rocco's doesn't give a shit. Maybe consider *not* eating at Rocco's. I know I won't. read more

We were in the process of closing one of our locations. The staff worked extremely well so I wanted to reward them by getting lunch. After checking some of the reviews for "Rocco Pizza" I felt it was a good bet. I called and the lady on the phone wasn't the nicest, but she did help. She told me there was a limit to what you could order over the phone before you have to order online. She gave me a number to a closer location which takes cards over the phone and has no limit. I called up and the guy was helpful and went over the prices with me. After ordering three pies, I was very pleased with the price. The only hiccup was the wait. It was over forty five minutes before the pizza came. He did say forty five minutes, but it was longer. Once it came, all time disappeared. We all dug in and were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was good. It was so good we even decided to use them for our next meeting. I would recommend them if someone asked. But that's behind a couple of other well liked spots. Love Rocco, and order from them frequently. Just a classic pie, and the buffalo wings are surprisingly good, with a crisp to them. My only issue is with the price of toppings, which makes absolutely no sense. It's $5 for a meat topping, which is already a little high, but ok--AND also $5 for any veggie topping, like peppers or onions, which is highway robbery, and that's whether you order a medium or a large. We'd order from here more often if they adjusted the prices to match the food cost, that way we could get a sausage pepper onion pie without paying an extra $15, nearly the price of the medium pizza itself. I live steps away from here, and I was worried when I moved in that this supremely convenient pizzeria would either be too lousy to go to (like Mike's on Myrtle) or just good enough that my Pizza Standards would drift downward. But you know what? Rocco makes a solid slice. They're really very good. The novelty slices are not so hot, but the plain slices are great. Would I take a train to get a slice here? No, that's crazy. Came here once awhile back with a friend who lived in the neighborhood. Its a good typical neighborhood pizzeria on the corner. The crust I remember being soggy due to too much sauce being put on, which itself was good but overspiced. It was a bit cheesy too, which ended up being a good thing. The people behind the counter were nice enough. Slice turnover was good because of the location. Rocco is underestimated due to their hiccups --similar issues you'll find at other pizza joints, example, a once in a while delayed delivery. The Margarita pizza and Penne Vodka with Chicken are personal favorites! The philly cheese steak, not so much. My pizza had a long piece of metal in it that I almost swallowed. It was about the thickness of a staple but much longer. There's a picture attached. The restaurant refused to give a refund unless I brought the remaining pizza back to them even though it was a delivery in the first place and the restaurant would have been closed before I could get there. Don't order unless you enjoy a torn stomach! UPDATE: After getting Grubhub instead of me to call them a second time the next day and then waiting for them to talk to a manager I finally got a refund. Unfortunately we used to love roccos but they've really dropped the ball over the last how many months. We stopped ordering from them because the food would always arrive cold and undercooked (mozzarellas sticks and fries) and we tried giving them another shot the last few orders and it takes so much longer for delivery than it used to (and we're not that far). And also every time we order wings they never ever ever give us blue cheese even when we order an pay for an extra one and leave a nice note asking to please make sure to give us our two blue cheeses. It's just annoying that no matter what we do, it happens every time. read more

Just ordered from here yesterday... I got a regular large pie with pepperoni and it was pretty normal. However, we also got a grandma with sausage and mushrooms and it was amazing. The sausage is a sliced Italian sausage. It even came with basil, fresh garlic and Parmesan cheese. Great flavors and the crust was crunchy and delicious... Be still my heart. I have finally found it. The perfect Alfredo in Brooklyn. Did I wait over an hour for my food to get delivered? Yes. BUT. It was so worth it. I requested ziti instead of fettuccini in the "special requests" section - those requests often do not get filled at other restaurants. Well, they did it. And put freshly chopped basil on top - what a nice surprise! I can't get over how delicious this was. My meal also came with four garlic knots - that wasn't mentioned online, and who doesn't love free bread?! The Caesar salad I got to meet the delivery minimum was not as rave-worthy. But still decent. If you love perfect Alfredo sauce - thick, not runny and just enough garlic - Rocco pizza is for you. No I would not Recommend this place. This was my first time eating here and I was completely dissatisfied. I ordered slice of white pizza and it was terrible. The crust was too hard, the pizza was cold, the taste was off. It was disgusting. The pizza tasted old, as if it was made yesterday. Not to mention they charged me $5.00 for that slice. I don't even notice that the sign outside the door had a "grade pending" rating. I recommend no one eat here. My stomach hurts. If I could I would give a zero stars but it doesn't allow me too. This place can be so hit or miss. I've had really great pizza, heroes, and pinwheels from here, and then other times, it's been stale, cold, and made me feel sick afterward. The pepperoni pinwheels, for instance, seem to always be stale and terrible. Honestly, it's hard because there really aren't a lot of options that are better in the area so Rocco's continues to be the best to settle for in the area. Try to order on the phone, though, because they rip you off online with extra fees (example: you can't order a pizza with half a pie's worth of toppings, so you have to pay $4-$5 for toppings and then write in the comments you only want half, but you don't get half the price). read more

The sausage, pepper, and onion calzone is really good. The pasta's are kind of expensive, but big enough to feed 2. Place won't blow you away, but it feeds the neighborhood well. Slices are pretty straightforward, but whole pies get pricey when adding more than a single topping. A large cheese pizza is $18. To add pepperoni it's an additional $4, then to just add peppers + onions it's another $8 - almost increasing costs by 50%. A simple topping like pickled jalapeños costs $5 extra. I go here a lot for slices, but look elsewhere when ordering for a crowd. *Update: I got food poisoning from another order of the previously mentioned calzone. That sucked, but I've been here a lot without such explosive consequences... I still go, but my wife refuses to. I'm just a sucker for convenience. read more

I'm a snob about the NY slice of regular (cheese) pizza. Joe's, Bleecker, and New Park Pizza are my top 3 for a regular cheese slice. And L and B makes the list for Sicilian (thick square) but that's another review. And don't jump down my back about adding other spots like Difara, I haven't tried it bc I don't believe in waiting on line for 2 hrs for pizza. Plus this is MY pizza hot tub list. So while I've been living in Bushwick for the last 8 years I've only recently just found my NY quintessential go to slice for delivery and it's at Rocco on Dekalb. Pizza is on point, sauce good, cheese good, nice and crispy. The slice guy sometimes gets a little wonky and you get those weird small half slices when you order the pie, but nothing to complain about you have a whole f'ing pie. The eggplant parm hero was delicious too! Done. Ps. order over the phone, Seamless, while it is super convenient takes a percentage away from the business you order from.... just sayin, and also the lady who answers the phone is nice. read more

This is my go-to pizza in bed stuy and everything I've gotten from this place has been A+ (except for the fettuccine alfredo I ordered last night which was the blandest alfredo i've ever had, the sauce was legit just heavy cream. They were super busy and I understand the risk I took ordering this dish lol). I'm giving this place 3 stars ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE 0 PROTECTIVE BARRIERS BETWEEN STAFF AND PATRONS! And the place was totally packed! I waited outside for it to clear up a bit and watched a few people comment on the number of people and lack of barriers and decide to eat elsewhere. I myself was worried about transmission, and I watched their staff working super hard on a busy Friday night and it made me concerned for their safety too. Hopefully they do the right thing before they get cited by the health department. Makes me wonder what other unsanitary conditions there are in there if they can't even visibly protect from covid! read more

This place is really good. I'm not big on pizza but whenever I have a craving I come running their way. The pizza arrives Hot and Fresh and I love the crust and ingredients. But when the staff do little besides mumble and glare, it doesn't exactly give me the warm-n-fuzzies. I ordered two plain slices - kind of a crapshoot, since there weren't prices posted. ($2.25 for a plain slice, it turns out.) I was told I'd have to wait a bit since it was still in the oven, no problem, ok. It gave me a chance to sit and listen to the news - though I could have done that from outside, the TV was turned up so high. Anyway I get the pizza in a to-go box, though I'd planned on staying, so I sat down and ate out of that. It wasn't very appetizing-looking, but as far as taste, it was alright. Better than Mike's, not quite Milly's. Still, after reading some delivery horror stories and having a less-than-swell time in the restaurant, I probably won't be back. read more

I've never been to the physical location, but have ordered delivery from here about 5 or so times in the past few months. If I order from here, it means I'm looking for a solid NY-style oily, cheesy, (totally not) healthy pizza option. They've yet to fail on any of those counts. The downside is that the delivery has almost always come on the late end of their estimate for me, sometimes leaving me with lukewarm pizza. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if they weren't EXCEPTIONALLY late at least one of those times...like 35 minutes late. They compounded the lateness issue by then also substituting my soda order since they ran out of what I asked for...but without conferring with me regarding the replacement when this wasn't a simple Sierra Mist for Sprite substitution but Orange Soda for Sprite. While I love Orange Soda (I do, I do, I do-ooooooooo) the whole fiasco felt indicative of customer service issues. In addition, be careful when ordering their specialty slices because sometimes the toppings are more than the pizza is built to hold and things can get messy pretty quickly. With all the deals Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc. have these days, Rocco is comparatively expensive. I'm not sure I would say that it's necessarily better either, but it is different and if you are in the mood for that NY pizza taste and you live in Crown Heights then this is as good as any place to order from. Also kind of annoying that they don't show their prices on Seamless (what's up with THAT?!) until you place the order in your "shopping cart." read more
