There are public lots but they were all full, so I found a parking in a residential area a block away. This restaurant has a nice upstairs dining area where they put large parties. We started with some appetizers. The eggplant was really good. They also serve a few types of bread with olive oil and vinegar. We made a reservation, and showed up a litt bit late. They forced us to wait another 15 minutes for our table. Given this poor experience you can tell how impressed I was with their food and service to give them five stars. The indoor sitting is very nice with high ceilings and nice painting. We went there to celebrate my father's 69's birthday, and they did an amazing job. The food was pretty delicious (probably the best Italian food I had for a while) and the service was spectacular. My beloved boyfriend surprised me by bringing me here for my birthday dinner. Rocca Ristorante is a cozy Italian mom-and-pop restaurant in Burlingame, and since he had made a reservation, we were promptly seated in a cozy red velvet booth. LED candlelight gave a soft warm glow to the ambience. Since the holiday season was just at the end, Christmas lights were still up. For our main courses, we had the Fettuccine and the Lasagna special, which were both really delicious and indulgent. For dessert, we got the Mocha crunch cake. The waitstaff also brought out a round mini cheesecake with a candle for me to blow out! My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time here, and I could not have asked for better company on my birthday. My husband and I ordered: -the linguini with clams in white wine 10/10 for a flavorful sauce and black pepper taste. The gnocchi had a soft and delicate texture, almost melt in your mouth, and were clearly made fresh. Tonight, we had another amazing dinner at Rocco. We arrived at 7 p.m. on a busy Saturday night, but thanks to our Yelp reservation, we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout. The ambience was great, service was amazing, the one thing I was disappointed with was the menu. Don't get me wrong the dish I got was tasty but that's because I love pasta. What the table was wanting was a real steak, rib eye or prime rib, not skirt steak with teriyaki sauce. On one of the busiest holidays we would have gladly paid a higher price for a ribeye or a cut of prime rib but the beef available on the set menu wasn't worth it. Our other experiences here have been good, and we will come back, but probably not when the place has a fixed menu that only offers skirt steak for a beef option. read more

The restaurant started to fill up closer to 6pm. Make sure to get there early as Downtown Broadway has limited street parking. Metered parkings are currently free after 6pm Mondays-Saturdays, Free on Sundays and major holidays listed. The ambiance had a great Italian feel, and we loved the music. Our waitress was super nice and made great recommendations being that it was our first time there. Everything we ordered was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful! The restaurant has a nice feel as if you're in a local Italian restaurant. While parking can be a little challenging, it's a nice alternative to the main street of Burlingame when you want a local night out.
