Tortellini Alla Michelangelo
Daniel L.

Went to Cafe Figaro for lunch and order Tortellini Alla Michelangelo, Autumn Salad, Lasagna Alla Figaro, and Tiramisu Cake. The Tortellini was rich, creamy and full of flavors. The Lasagna is made with fresh dough and layer it perfectly and balanced with the ingredients. End the lunch with the Tiramisu cake which was not too sweet, but just right. Overall, experience was satisfying with professional hospitality service.

Dinner reservations for me and the wife, her birthday celebration . Got there a little early. Confirmed reservations and were given choices of seating. Wasn't as busy as the last time we where here a couple of weeks Ago. To me it seemed a little short staff, person, seating us, was also taking orders and bartering. I also believe I saw another waiter and two bus people they were working they were working really hard, applause to them they seem to pull it off. Same MO as last time, half bottle of wine, two entrées, bread and dipping sauce. And tiramisu for dessert with a candle for the birthday girl awesome touch. . Everything was perfect. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you.

Cafe Figaro is my favorite local restaurant, and any time I bring friends or family they also love the meal and ambiance (cozy and rustic and warm and welcoming). I usually order the linguine con vongole or rigatoni alla vodka. I just had the linguine Adriatica and lobster ravioli, both which came with the tastiest prawns. The chicken parm and lasagna are also great! And anytime scallops are a special, I order them. Will is so friendly and welcoming (just ask him what wines he has off the list and you won't be disappointed). They fill up quickly so reservations are the best way to go.

We loved our experience here! We have been here before but decided to order different items. We started with bread which comes with olive oil and vinegar along with herbs. Yum! We also had the Napa cabbage salad and the stuffed mushrooms. Both were delightful and warm. The mushrooms were piping hot and stuffed with Italian sausage and cheese, topped with like a bruschetta topping. The tomatoes complemented it well. The Napa cabbage salad is also warm and flavorful, and it comes with bacon, mushrooms, Dijon mustard and it tasted like gorgonzola cheese or blue cheese. For the entrees we opted to share the chicken piccata and the filet mignon pappardelle and this was phenomenal! The chicken piccata was perhaps a bit more overcooked than I would have liked but the flavor was good. It comes with a potato puree and a side of vegetables (broccoli, zucchini and yellow squash). The picatta sauce had the perfect amount of salt and flavor. The pasta was also perfectly cooked! And the steak was delicious and simple. I enjoyed the cherry tomatoes in the sauce and it comes with a cream marsala . Wow! Overall service was great and we enjoyed the quietness of the ambiance. This is a local neighborhood gem with fantastic service and dishes with flavors that make you smile.

This place has been around for so long for good reason. It's definitely on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for in the quality of the food, service, and overall experience! A reservation is recommended as it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night. The food was all amazing. We were immediately given bread & olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Our appetizers came so quick; the meatballs we got were very tender, bruschetta was okay. Our server was so attentive in clearing off our table for the entrees which also came so quickly! The only complaint was from my dad, he said the veal was a little tough. The rest of us loved our dishes. Pasta was all cooked perfectly and the sauces were well made! As we ate we noticed a man (presumably part of the family that owns the place) talking with customers by name (definitely regulars). The restaurant has a home-y feeling, but is elegant and formal for a fine dining experience. Overall, this is definitely the place to come for quality Italian food and amazing service!

Cafe Figaro always hits the spot whenever we are in mood for Italian. Tonight we ordered the stuffed mushrooms, the Napa cabbage salad, the famous Pappardelle, and the chicken piccatta to share. We loved it all. I appreciated how the stuffed mushrooms were served piping hot. There was steam coming out as I sliced into them. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. Finally my favorite the pappardelle was chewy and came with a generous portion of meat. The server was friendly and all the dishes came with perfect timing.

Scallops special appetizer

an exceptional dining experience, even on a week night. we headed to Broadway for Italian and actually originally aimed for another business before noticing that this place was packed (always a good sign). they had one table left for two and staff treated us like old friends the whole time. the food was AMAZING: scallops special appetizer and filet minon. plus a bottle of wine to share, of course! I was so impressed with their alcohol selection and general quality of food and beverage. also, the server was one of the best I've ever had. she anticipated our needs and did not miss a beat the whole evening. we will be regulars now!

I've been here twice so far and both times have been wonderful. It's so homey, a little traditional and the staff are wonderful :) All their food is wonderful. The bread is yummy and soft and the sauce it comes with is so flavorful. The truffle gnocci is bomb. I also love their fettuccine alla adriatica, but I get it with chicken!

Came in an hour before closing. Service was comparable to service in Italy. Food was okay. Romantic vibes. Great selection of wine! Sauvignon Blanc and Sancerre were delicious. Thank you!

I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience here so much! The food is absolutely delicious and the vibes are immaculate. The staff are also very sweet and super nice. I really enjoyed the bruschetta and the pastas, the shaved watermelon ice at the end was also a delightful treat! Loved my experience here so much!

Special of the day : skirt steak

A true Burlingame gem. This long-time family owned Italian restaurant on Broadway has been part of the community for years, and it's wonderful to see the son now carrying on the tradition. The food is classic, comforting Italian made with care, and the atmosphere feels like stepping into a place where everyone is welcome. Supporting restaurants like this means supporting the history and heart of our neighborhood. Martinis were excellent and wine choice was on par! Definitely coming back :)

Cafe Figaro is our go-to local spot for Italian food and low-key date nights! The owner, Will, is awesome and makes us feel like family every time we visit! He also curates an excellent wine selection. In terms of food, you really can't go wrong ordering off the specials... BUT our absolute favorite thing to do these days is order the tasting menu + wine pairing! It's such a great deal AND the wine is nicely paired, showing off Will's talents. We always look forward to our date nights here!

Calamari
Joselyn M.

I came here for a friend's early bday dinner. She had made a reservation & we still waited close to 30 mins before we were actually sat. Not to mention, the neglect we felt & on top of that they had sat another party right before us... even though we had waited first. It was a 5min difference, but still... that's rude. So for that, service was so so. It left a bad 1st impression. Although, when it came time for dinner they became more attentive & efficient. Food was coming out pretty fast too, which was nice. More on a positive note, the food was great!! It really saved the night!! I had ordered the calamari, & Caesar salad. Calamari was good, just a bit salty. Caesar was good as well, but it needed more croutons. & for my entree, I ordered the filet mignon pappardelle pasta, & it was delish. Great Marsala sauce!! For dessert, the choc mousse was perfect. Nice, light & fluffy!! Ambiance is small & tight. As soon as you walk in, you're already in the way of traffic. It def needs a separate, waiting area... or for ppl to be sat in a timely manner.

The vibe felt so relaxing and honestly, rather romantic despite dining alone. As for the food, the quality and presentation well supported its reasonable menu prices. The arugula salad was fresh and the golden berries gave it a bite. The parmigiana cheese gave it extra flavor. My Pollo Alla Vodka Lasagna proved a real birthday treat as its comforting taste derived from its mildly-sweet vodka sauce, shredded chicken (which aided digestion) and crispy lasagne sheets. I will also add that the portion sizes are most decent for a single eater. The salad and lasagne can even be shared between two. The complimentary Italian bread also had a lovely moist texture to it. Although my cappuccino was nicely presented and beautifully frothed, its temperature cooled rather quickly. I appreciate this is the normal standard for cappuccinos and lattes for to avoid scalding the milk but the barista could perhaps pre-heat the cup prior to pouring the espresso beverage to retain its heat. Overall, the inclusion of the background Italian music (including Disney's instrumental "Bella Note") and the cinematic projection screen on the wall, also made for a meditative eating experience.

I'm a wheelchair user the first issue was they had a bunch of decorations on the ground which meant that they had to shift and move them there was also no clear way for me to get my wheelchair to a bathroom The music and I kid you not was 1980s Elevator Music to the moon and back to New York City, but done with a synthesizer I love the sliders. I always have mine arrived mushy and the bread looked and taste exactly like it would come from the Hawaiian buns that I bought at the store. The Patty tasted almost exactly what I get at Trader Joe's. I was really surprised that used to be my favorite thing. The $12 ginger ale tasted like the ginger ale get at Trader Joe's again I'm very surprised I used to love all When we got our bill, we were charged for our meal and the meal next to us They were kind enough to take $10 off after we had to set the table for a long time waiting for this to be resolved I don't know if they have a different thing going for Sunday, but everything felt very cheap, including coronations on the table. Nothing felt special. The service was kind, but also not solicitous It felt like a massive downgrade from the last time I had been there, and I was very confused from the music to the food levels to the inability to move the wheelchair around. It was just surprising. I would not have bothered to write this if it wasn't so insanely expensive To have an appetizer with $18 my husband's main was 34 the ginger ale well I understand they make it there was $12 for a glass. It just felt like I was paying for an elevated experience that I did not receive. Again, I've have been going there for years. This was just a massive downshift from what I was used to.
